| The night was hot as hell, but the light showers cooled it down. The White Witch, Yukino, could have sworn she saw steam leave the pavement as each drop hit with a small splash to the dark ground of Nadashiki. The young woman sat on a bench with a laid back manner and her arms propped up on the back support of the seat. Her iris was faded and her mouth was slightly open, almost as if her body was just a shell but her mind was elsewhere. The rain was calming and cooling; especially compared to the fiery hell she had escaped from to come to Ueitawa. Tokonosu had gone under with the demon infection, the corrupt churches, and the looming threat of sudden death. To think she could escape such a world and return to a more normal life, she had never expected it. If it weren't for Pallas Athena, she would have never escaped and rebuilt her life from scratch. On instinct she would grasp her cellphone from her black vest and look at the screen to glance at her "Persona" she had gained through her previous trials. Now here she was using her abilities to "fight crime" like it really mattered. All it took was one crazy cult to send an entire region into purgatory, so did it matter in the end? Probably not, but she promised herself she would never let another Tokonosu incident happen again. No matter what.
Staring at the sky with a faded gaze, she would let the rain hit her face and cool her off. She was angry with herself, and how she couldn't protect anyone in Tokonosu. If it weren't for her Oketsu bloodline, she would have never joined law enforcement again. Even with the cold rain, she felt her blood coming to a boil. Before she knew it, she was punching her fist into her palm as she gave an aggravated growl. "Baka Baka Baka... Watashi wa Baka..." She placed her palm on her forehead and gave another grunt. Yukino needed some stress relief, or atleast a punching bag. Her faded eyes glanced around for a suitable target of stress relief. Lucky for her a group of punks were walking in the rain. Now, they weren't exactly up to anything at the moment, but she had seen them before. They were the same ones Keryu-dono had warned her about for harassing people in the area. They were the perfect prey. Yukino licked her lips as their heads jerked to look towards her, already knowing who she was and probably what she wanted from them.
The group of punks huddled together and began to speak amongst themselves while Yukino pushed herself to her feet. Walking up to the group, the officer placed a hand on her hip while clenching the other infront of her. "You kids wanna brawl? I promise not to take you in if you can land a clean hit on my face. If you don't, Keryu-dono will be mad. You wouldn't want to make that detective mad, would you?" The Gang members backed away and began to walk the other way, and the officer stomped her foot with agitation. Damn this night was hot as hell and only getting hotter. Was it because of her temper? She would sigh and palm her face once again. It'd be against her morals to start a fight with punks without them initiating the situation or breaking some sort of rule. Oh how she felt scorned from this. Even the low rumble of an engine, that could be compared to a soft hum, would cheer her up now. Lucky for her that engine belonged to her partner who had pulled the car around the plaza. Opening the door, the young man would exit the driver's side and then open the back door to release the canine that was in the back seat. The pitch black dog ran up to its owner and sat by her side as she would bend down and scratch behind his ear. "Such a slow night, and this rain isn't doing anything to help. You'd think Nadashiki would be more popular with crime at this time, but I guess with those disappearances, everyone is scared around here. It really pisses me off. Tokonosu was never a bore."
Yukino's partner shook his head as he leaned against the car. "Why'd you come to Ueitawa? Did something happen out there for you to be sent to one of the regions located out in the middle of nowhere? I meant other than Nadashiki, nothing really happens here. Even now, there have been alot less disappearances, so if that was your original reason for being sent here, isn't your job done?" The female officer looked at the other man and shook her head. "I did come to Ueitawa because of the disappearances. It actually reminded me of a similar case in Tokonosu, but the situation is extremely different here." Even thinking of Tokonosu made her ears ring like someone was dragging a nail against a chalkboard. "The police seem to have their hands full with this case, but I have a feeling if we poke around we may find some answers. So tonight, let's start questioning people. If we're lucky, someone may try to attack us. Exciting, right? You liked the idea, huh boy?" The dog barked in delight, but her partner sighed and sat back down in the car. It would be a long night.

| Perhaps Ruo was growing rather accustomed to this area, seeing as how she had been going here a few times lately. At some point during her exploration today, she had ventured into the various stores of the strip mall, and having to stay in one when the rain came. Ruo probably knew that the rain would do nothing, but her worries regarding her faulty hardware would win, and would keep her inside so long as the rain went. Though in the night, it was the best chance to move, as the rain stopped, leaving the area damp and moist. Even with her Persona, she still had her worries about her hardware. Luckily, she had found what she knows as an “umbrella” in an alleyway near her home in Iwaigodai. It was a bit tattered and had a hole or two, but could manage. She knew how to use it, and was able to pull it out and bring it above her ahead just in time for the next shower of rain to catch her. It provided a relatively quiet sound, the pattering hitting the ground at random intervals. Even under the umbrella, her hood was over her head, concealing her long black hair, and the jacket going down to her thighs, was zipped up.
It was during the time where the rain started that she had left a small clothing store, the umbrella over her head before she even left the store. She got a few looks, and some even avoided her. It made her feel unsettled. She hated sticking out, so she had made her leave rather quickly outside. When she walked out, she had noticed a small group of guys, and across the plaza still in the rain, a woman sitting on the bench. She avoided the larger group of people, not moving particularly towards the woman, but looking to see what she was doing. She did not seem at all worried about the rain, however, if she had to describe her expression, it was as though all life had left her. Her eyes were “spacing out” as humans would say. She punched her hand and muttered words to herself. She was not that close to her, so she did not catch exactly what she said, but she did see her stand up after looking towards the small group of men she had avoided earlier. She then started to walk towards them, a bit quickly actually. Ruo did not know her intention but it would only get more peculiar when she began to speak.
She had asked the gang members to fight. Was this her goal? Just to draw attention to herself? It was the exact opposite of Ruo’s way of doing things. Drawing attention to herself was the last thing Ruo needed in order to blend. The gang seemed to not care, and walk the other way, much to the woman’s distaste considering her reactions. Someone had come up to her, probably someone who knew her, as well as a black dog that joined the man as he joined the woman. Ruo was closer to the gang then the woman when she had stopped, so she was able to catch a bit more of the conversation. Something regarding a case in Tokonosu, a place Ruo did not know of. Ruo was considering just leaving at this point, as staying this long in one place in the rain had most likely made her a bit noticeable, and even if not, Ruo was paranoid to the core, and feared the worst no matter what. Apart from those three including the dog, she was the only one around in the plaza after the gang left. She could not go back into the shops or the restaurants to hide either, as that may require her passing them and have a guarantee of getting spotted. So with no other option, she would turn and begin to casually walk towards one side of the plaza. She looked behind her a couple times, as the fear of being caught was too much for her to just turn away as she walked.

| "I heard Tokonosu went under from some flood, you know? It must be tough leaving everything behind because of some sudden natural disaster." Yukino's partner spoke with a care free tone as he sat in the driver's seat of the car and dug his finger nail between his teeth. His comment made the her eye twitch slightly, and she would stop scratching the dog's ear. In a flash of a second, the whole situation that happened in Tokonosu came before her eyes. The rise of demons, the strange phone application that gave her powers never before seen, and the countless deaths that occurred thanks to the misguided ambitions of others. Yukino really had nothing to say about that comment, but the fact the disappearance of Tokonosu was most likely already covered up by the government, it probably was not safe to speak of what occurred. Nodding her head, she would clear her throat and give an annoyed growl beneath her breath. "Yes, natural disasters are truly something. It took more than you know to leave my old life behind in Tokonosu." The officer would stand and place a hand on her hip while looking towards the clouded sky. The rain was still coming down.
"Let's just start questioning some of the people here about the disappearances. I'd rather not have Ueitawa end up in such a strange position like Tokonosu beforehand." Her partner sighed and stood up. Locking the door and losing it, he'd walk infront of the hood over to his partner and give a nod. "Not sure what you plan on finding that we haven't already, but let's give it a shot." He really didn't look like he wanted to be out there in the rain. Yukino jerked her head to the side and narrowed her eyes while thinking. Perhaps she'd work easier without the dead weight hanging on her side. Though it seemed it was too late for her to send him off because the hound seemed to catch interest of something. It began to bark wildly at a strange dressed woman that kept looking back over her should repeatedly. Such suspicious behavior put a smile on the female officer's face. "I think we found our first suspect!" The White Witch bolted off towards the woman with the hound and her partner following behind. When she made it within walking distance, she'd call out to the mysterious woman. "Oi! We're with the police to ask you a few questions about current disappearances in the area. Can you spare a moment?" As she spoke, the hound by her side was growling at the young woman. Though Yukino couldn't tell she wasn't human, surely the dog could. The officer looked down towards her canine partner before looking back at the woman with a raised brow.

| Ruo was nearing the edge of the plaza, ready to leave, suddenly jumped and stayed in place after hearing the dog from before bark wildly, almost dropping her umbrella in the process. It appeared that she was not quick enough when she had decided to leave, as the woman made very quick pattering on the ground along with the dog. Ruo had no choice really, lest she look more suspicious. That in mind, she would calmly turn around and keeping the umbrella over her head looking at the woman, who was currently with the dog as well, as the woman called out to her, asking a moment of her time. Did Ruo even have a choice? The woman seemed as though she was intending to question her, and it is not like Ruo knew much about what was going on. Though the disappearances did bring a sort of interest to her. She had heard of the recent kidnapped people around Ueitawa. The two most recent were a girl by the name of Anya Satoshi; who had recently returned from wherever she was taken. The other was a boy named Cyril Vaans, who has not returned yet. Both of them were students from a high school coincidentally. It had never really mattered to Ruo, and for the time being, still does not.
She would nod to the woman who wanted to speak with her, and remain where she was standing. If the woman asked, she would take a few steps slowly and warily toward her if she needed to be closer, though Ruo would not like it at all, her paranoia still dominant in her head. “Alright…” she would say to her. The dog after looking at it, would make her take a half step backward, still growling at her. Ruo knew dogs were excellent in smell, and were nice tracking animals. Was the dog able to sense that she had no particular scent? But on the other hand, it would be only natural to have some trepidation being near a growling dog looking aggressive. She would turn up from the dog to the woman and keep her calm demeanor. She could express some emotions after her recent awakening to her Persona, but for the time being, she would remain neutral unless called to otherwise. Luckily her hardware had not malfunctioned and made a spike in her personality, which would have possibly made it even worse on her. “What did you wish to know?” Ruo would ask.
