Prelude (Anna & ????)

The Park was a great place to relax in the central area, At the moment travel to Central was allowed due to the Coming Festival this would allow other people to come look around get used to navigating the area, and allow those that wished to set up shops, to get the paperwork squared away and approved and gave them time to set up and prepare for the festival.

One thing that was quite the common sight in central, the Presence of a Waddle-dee, these little Creatures seemed to be absolutely everywhere, running little errands and cleaning and preparing the place for the Festival along with people who where doing the same. In the Park however The Waddle-dee's seemed to be taking their time off, likely being told to go rest or go play as normally the little spirits would work till they were quite tired and told to rest by a Waddle-doo. But in the Park groups of them  could be seen sitting in the grass with others, napping under trees and tending to flowers or simply running around playing with other Waddle-dee's.

And among the Multitudes of Waddle-dee's wandering about, there were a few Waddle-doo's keeping a protective eye over them, to make sure the people that showed up to play with the Waddle-dee's were not being mean to them.


It would be in the middle of the park that an old man was sitting petting a Waddle-dee and giving food to a few others and gently humming a tune to them.

That day found Anna in an uncharacteristic place for her - Central Park. She normally preferred the bustle of the populated areas to the vistas of nature and frolicking spirits, but not today. Today, she was tired.

As the whole of Central was busy with festival preparations, so was the radio. To ensure the usual smoothness, he whole place was running in overclock mode, to the point where she was asked to assist a technician with repairing some non-critical equipment. She didn't know whether she should appreciate her skills being recognised, or be concerned they knew she was capable of that.

Well, in either case, she was pretty drained, and a chill walk in the park was exactly what she needed right now.

"Oh-oh-oh... Isn't he wonderful... Making all us merrier..."

She sang a festival-appropriate song under her breath as she passed the bench, casting a curious glance at the old man sitting there. She had to say, the man had style - that was one badass robe. Pausing for a moment, she gave him a friendly wave.

The man smiled as he tended to the Waddle-dee, petting one and then after some time placing it down and picking up another and giving it time to be petted, the Waddle-dee's all looked hopefully up at Anna as she got closer, thinking they were going to have a second person to sit and pet them too, and as she walked by they stayed looking up at her hopefully as she stopped to wave at the old man, each waddle-dee also waved back to her.

The old man meanwhile smiled as he noticed the Waddle-dee looking up at the passing girl and he smiled at her and waved "Well hello there young one... you look tired... Here... have a seat.. When I feel drained I find that spending time with These wonderful spirits helps me reenergize" he said as she scooted a bit on the Bench to give her plenty of room to sit "and it seems the little ones what to help you as well.. you would be surprised how observant these little guys are... and they are always quite helpful" he said as he gestured to the Waddle-dee The Waddle-doo looking over all this nodding happily.

"Eh... I prefer standing on my own two feet. Or sitting on my own one bum," Anna replied with a smile as she takes a seat next to the old man. "Would never turn away a friendly conversation, though - that always gives me some energy."

She stretched a little, settling into her seat as the little spirits surrounded her, just like they did the old man. "You must like these guys a lot, for you to spend your time here and to know so much about them offhand. And they seem to like you back just as much, don't they?"

The old man chuckles at the joke and picks up a Waddle-dee and gently pets it "Well that is good to hear, some people prefer other things, but sometimes simply spending time talking to someone and sharing stories is a fine thing, especially with such adorable company as the Waddle-dee's and Waddle-doo's" he said gently petting the round Spirit who seemed to relax in his arms and seemed quite content to be petted.

"Oh these little ones? yes I do quite enjoy being around them, I consider it a blessing that I live in a place that has them everywhere, and I think they enjoy the company of everyone in the city who is kind to them, even if your not they will likely still protect you if something were to happen, they are rather selfless in that regard, and Very kindhearted.. see they are looking at you for attention as well" he said gesturing to the Waddle-dee's looking up at Anna still hopefully, and then if she looked the closest one would hold up it's arms as if asking to be picked up "go ahead, they don't bite, and it's really quite relaxing" he said with a chuckle.
