Appearance: Long, flowing chestnut locks drape down towards Siobahn’s back, with the same brunette bangs, and a vividly neon green dyed streak on her left side. Light hazel eyes carry a softness to her, yet can be just as cold and sharp given the situation. Barely visible unless under close inspection, but a light peppering of freckles bridges over her nose, beneath the eyes. Some would consider her staggeringly beautiful, but Siobahn believes she’s averagely attractive.

Just a shade underneath six feet at 5'11", Siobahn is tall in comparison to most women. A lifetime of survival on the surface has her body well in shape and svelte, with lean muscle (weighing in at 143 lbs). Her skin is fair, and similarly to her nose, has light sprinklings of barely distinct freckles dotting along her. A more recent accident has caused Siobahn’s loss of her right hand, which was replaced with a mechanical prosthetic. Normally she wears gloves to conceal that.

Appearance:

Personality: Despite her inviting looks there is a distant emptiness to Siobahn. In most instances she carries a flat expression and is silent, keeping to herself unless spoken to. That doesn’t stop her from quietly judging others, a fair amount of the time harshly. Being a solitary and self-reliant hunter for a fair portion of her life explains this attitude and rationale.

When spoken to, Siobahn tends to deliberately pause before replying- a conscious effort to choose her words for the situation and not answer on emotion alone. This was a precious lesson learned from years of survival on the surface. Still, she tends to be succinct and very to the point with strangers, a faint Irish accent in her tone. Although she has also learned to not be entirely frigid, using a winsome smile and laugh when appropriate, even going so far to quip and banter.

Those that manage to become close to Siobahn find that her pauses are for a reason. Her mouth is foul, her accent strong, her emotions wildly open. A wickedly deviant mind lies beneath the surface, often finding enjoyment at the expense of others. If not her, then obviously them. However, with all of that negatively underneath, there are some shining positives- in particular a fiercely resolute lionheart. Perhaps a shred of kindness somewhere as well...

The Background

History: Born in a Vault, Siobahn’s father Darren was a security officer, and mother Ciara a wildly avid hunter and survivalist. Heavily inspired by her fearless and knowledgeable mother who traversed the topside to provide non-domesticated foods and goods, Siobahn readily took after her. Constantly she asked her mother about the surface, about nature, about the hunt. Both her parents tried to sway Siobahn from the excessively dangerous and almost useless profession- in fact she had an aptitude for singing- but the hunt called out to her. Plenty of times she snuck out of her Vault to follow, but would be caught.

The first time Siobahn successfully managed to shadow Ciara was at the age of 10. Eventually she was found out after the hunt was finished, but it only proved that she wanted to join her mother to gain more hands-on experience. Ciara relented, although ultimately gave into the strength and will of her daughter. She also relented because she had found out that she had cancer, and wanted to pass on as much to her daughter as possible, before her body was too weak to venture outside the Vault.

For five noticeable and heart wrenching years Siobahn steadily grew to be a prominent hunter, while her mother waned. Unable to provide sufficient payment or trade for Ciara’s treatment, Siobahn was practically on the surface at all hours of the day in an effort to either find a cure or simply gather enough for pain medication. It was doubly made worse that the treatments were readily held for the upper class citizens of the Vault. One day Ciara couldn’t hold on any longer, but promised Siobahn that she’d watch over her and guide her.

A spiralling year of anguish and depression struck Siobahn and her father. Darren took to the drink, barely leaving their home. Siobahn also took to the drink, but brashly continued her ventures topside. When noticing the husk of a person her once proud and strong father had become, along with the frustration at the people of her Vault, Siobahn eventually decided to leave her home for good. Nothing remained for her there.

The next three years were bitter and filled with rage. Not even wanting to see another person, she purposefully avoided traveling survivor groups, alongside the other perils of demons. That was until she happened across a young man a couple of years her younger, Jack. His gregarious and relentless nature broke through one of the walls Siobahn built for herself, especially after chasing her through the woods for an entire day.

Jack convinced Siobahn to at least trust in himself, before she trusted in the rest of humanity. The pair then traveled the wastes and reaches of Europe together. Siobahn taught Jack everything she knew about the hunt, and refined his technique on survival. Meanwhile Jack continued to break down Siobahn’s walls and to embrace and use her emotions instead of burning out on them. After a couple of years Siobahn finally trusted Jack so much that they fell in love with one another.

Afterwards they would regroup with other survivors. Siobahn would get acquainted with humanity again, although it would hurt just as much when only Jack and her managed to live when the others around them perished. Four years down the road, the pair of lovers always met tragedy when encountering a new group. However, so long as they had one another, they would always endure.

Unfortunately the next group they ran into was a large band of marauders. With no other option but to join or be killed, Siobahn and Jack were forcefully recruited. A year of brutality and dark deeds done in the name of survival etched some horrid memories within Siobahn. While the pair continuously worked a way to escape the band of marauders, their clinical detachment and efficiency garnered them respect amongst the ranks. Those with enough clout and accomplishment were titled after predatory birds. The resourceful pair of lovers were named after crows- Siobahn being Raven and Jack being Jackdaw.

There would be no need for an escape plan. The marauders were faced upon by the full force of a militia from a Vault for all their transgressions. Horrifyingly a demonic third party joined in the bloody battle. In the chaos Jack and Siobahn were separated; her memories of the event are vague, but she knew she had to claw her way out of a pile of corpses at some point. When she recovered from the aftermath of that bloody trial, Siobahn found herself missing a hand- and her heart, Jack.

The Vault’s people had rescued her and gave her a chance to redeem herself. They would give Siobahn a prosthetic hand if she worked off the damage her group of marauders created, and to let the Vault better sustain itself with all those losses. For two years she worked off that debt, her own aim and knowledge of fighting building up their militia, teaching them how to hunt and survive in the wild, amongst other things.

While her mind was in the right place, her heart was not. If she had survived, so too did Jack. Eventually the people of the Vault knew this, and with her wisdom imparted to them, they finally let Siobahn go. Her travels have recently brought her to Paris, in search of Jack, in search of a power to bring her above demons and tragedy.
