First Exploration (Gabby and 1 other Child)

Lorielle saw as everyone finished their attacks, well, all but Sagami who for whatever reason, was unable to act. She expected something like another overview of a target, but no matter. Actually, the Shadows were just as prepared, for while the first one went down, the other two hurled balls of flame at them. One Shadow just threw one at Sagami, which seemed to hit dead on, while the other made a small spread with their own hitting everyone but Sagami. She would stand her ground after getting hit in the chest with one of those things. ‘Bit hot that was….’ But still, was not too powerful, she could handle more. She would gesture towards the third Shadow who used the all-hitting fire attack and Yhoundeh would form a crystal of ice in her hand, and let go, watching it float in the air before flying at that Shadow. Hopefully it would hit. “I guess you guys are still gonna be a pain. Keep going,” she would say mostly as a sort of morale boost. She doubted Gabby or Sagami would hear it, most of it was directed towards Lorielle herself anyway. This battle was intimidating, not as insane as the Minotaur, but anything can happen, so she had to be prepared. Yhoundeh remained behind her as a security of sorts. At least she still has not abandoned her.

So that’s what getting hit in the gut with fire was like. Gabby could go through life without that ever happening again. Though, she expected it to hurt a lot more than it actually did. For her, it was just an excuse to get pissed. She was usually calm, but in this moment, she could only feel her anger boiling over. She lost all sense of being calm and instead began shouting, “I’m going to kill you all.” A small, barely noticeable smirk came across Hippocamp’s face as his master said this. Gabby raised her hand into the air and brought it down like an axe. As she did this, her Persona would let out a large bellow from his belly, trying to blow the two of them over.

Soon after the analysis, Sagami would try to activate another one but it seemed it hadn't gone through at all. After being hit by the fire twice, the third year would begin to speak to his persona directly again. "Hime! Stop slacking off and get some work done." The persona would mock him as he again pressed the analysis button, a red mist covering the ground below him. Soon after a red loading screen would appear over second shadow's head. If the analysis would complete, a red information screen would appear next to the two girls. Since the first one he analyzed had fallen, that screen had vanished. "It seems my power has drained for now, I cannot preform any moves for a while."

Lorielle did not see any attacks coming her way. However, she saw balls of flame go right to Gabby and Sagami. Gabby was the first to be hit, however she looked the most healthy so Lorielle trusted in her ability to handle the attack. Sagami however, was not looking good. He was getting weaker and weaker by the minute. She would quickly rush to him, and shove him from the enemy fire, taking the ball of flame herself. Luckily, the attack did not really hurt much, and she would have enough time to look at Sagami whether he was now on the floor or still standing. “Sorry!” she would say before turning to the Shadow that had attacked him. “Bastard! Rot in here!” she would shout grabbing her head in pain as well as annoyance. Yhoundeh would understand, and once more make a horizontal swipe with her arm, sending a slash through the Shadow. Lorielle would give it a sneer whether it missed or hit, but get into a proper stance with her naginata should it hit. “Keep going! Gabby, do what you can, the other Shadow looks weakened!” she would call out referencing Sagami’s analysis of that Shadow. It was weak to physical attacks, but she could not take any chances with this one. Once more, that Shadow seemed ready to go down at any hit, so maybe the team would have enough time to end it, as well as the other Shadow if possible.

More fire? She was happy that it didn’t hurt that much, but she would be happier if there wasn’t fire being thrown at her by these unholy abominations. It was like the world was trying to find an excuse to create something that shouldn’t be possible. It was becoming more of a pain to deal with these things than the adventure she first thought it to be. And now Sagami was beginning to look weak. Out of the three of them, he and Lori had taken the biggest beating. Which is why it shocked her when Lori stepped in front of Sagami to take the fire herself. Even if the two had known each other beforehand, it took a lot of courage to take someone else’s pain. So that’s the kind of person Lori was? She couldn’t let her friend down, if that was the case, “I’ll make sure to take care of these things nice and quickly.”

Lorielle about had it up to here with this. The third Shadow was gone, but the middle still persisted, sending another small wave of flame at them, hitting them all. She would have jumped to Sagami, as he was getting weaker and weaker, but she had gotten hurt herself, and had no way to get to him. “Sagami! Protect yourself! I will  take care of this guys…!” she said making a shout at the Shadow and swing her naginata to the side, and Yhoundeh would make a wild slash with her as the same slashing attack was thrown upon the Shadow. Lorielle was a bit more than frustrated, and did not want to waste any more time with this. Assumig she missed, she would shamefully look at Gabby for help. Lorielle was not embarrassed to call upon her, she would be embarrassed to miss after all that rage and attacks from the Shadow getting her nowhere. But she would hope for the best.

Sagami would sigh as he was again hit by fire. It was getting quite annoying. "Guys this is my only ability, every shadow has been scanned. For now I can't do anything. I must pull out, I wish you both good luck!" With those words, Sagami would move back towards the entrance before any further harm was caused by him. When reaching the entrance, he would begin to speak to his persona. "Why are you doing this?! You were never like this!" The woman would laugh before her voice would begin to push through his headphones. "Son of man, I am not the same as before, here I am completely different, there for you must treat me different. And I do not like the goodness that still lies in your heart. You must follow chaos, and that is all." The third year would sigh. "I guess you're right. I do sense more power than before. I can tell you are going to be stronger than before." His head would nod up and down as he stared at the red screens. "This power is something I must hold onto."

Well, all of the enemies were down, and Gabby was the only one left standing who didn’t look like she was about to fall over. Well, Sagami seemed to understand his limitations and left. She shrugged her shoulders, “You did great, Lori.” She would hole out her hand for her friend to take. If she did, Gabby wouldn’t mind helping the weakened girl out of this place. If she didn’t, she would simply have to hope she could walk out on her own. She wasn’t going to leave until after she saw Lori pass though the doorway. The girl couldn’t take another hit, and these things could use ambush tactics for all they knew, “I wouldn’t mind coming back again at some point. Though, maybe with a better strategy than just running up and hitting the things. Don’t you think?” She would wait for Lori to leave, then follow right after.

She watched Sagami as he chose to leave. The Shadows were down, and to be honest, she refused to take any risk. She might have gone if one of them went with her, but this kind of world is something not to be trifled with. No chances would be taken. She would turn to Gabby, shaking her hand with a smile. “As did you. Though, I may need to control myself. I was so frustrated and angry at those monsters…” she said, giving a frown at herself. It was not like her to be so chaotic like she was, even in that battle with the minotaur she was fairly tame. Maybe she was getting used to the other being within her…Whatever the case, it was probably best to leave for the time being, as she agreed with Gabby. She herself was feeling a bit sore from the battle, and a bit weary. She was going to sleep very soundly tonight. “Yeah, I am gonna need a few days to rest it off. I will gladly join you again. Maybe next time we can bring Cain or something. It would be good to make sure everyone knows how to fight with one another,” she suggested. She had hardly seen Cain much since the battle anyway, so who knows if he was as powerful as he looked in said battle.

With that, she would walk with Gabby until they reached the Limbo door. “This world is strange. We could find many different things in here,” she said to Gabby. Thinking about it, there are many things that this place could end up being of use to the group. There also may be other areas than this that they have not explored, and there clearly were, but areas unlike this city, like the foggy area with the minotaur or something even more different and abstract. She would place a hand on her chest, feeling the warmth of the Mark slowly dying down. Did that have something to do with the Shadows at all…? Maybe she was overthinking the mark. Maybe she will have to ask Yhoundeh what it meant, but that day would not be today, and probably not tomorrow either. “Alright Gabby, feel free to call me. Though I may not be able to do anything for the time being, at least not right now. I am gonna be so tired. Good job, see ya,” she said smiling once more, before leaving through the door with Gabby, and returning to her home in Nokawia.
