Hello, All!
So we've come to a point on the site where we have a decent chunk of players awakening (And a good chunk who are on the verge). So today, I figured it'd be a good time to introduce you all to (and open up) The Demon Hunts.
Introducing: Demon Hunts!
A Demon Hunt is in essence a Dungeon Run, tied to a Quest, with some form of Objective, with the final, end goal is to defeat a major Demon in the name of Paris. So, what separates Demon Hunts from say, a Normal Dungeon from Previous Plots? Well, A Demon Hunt only ends once the Objectives are completed, or if you choose to abandon the Hunt for the time being. In addition, some hunts come with Modifiers or Extra Objectives or Loss-Conditions. The Extra Objectives come in (as of now) 3 different Categories: Holdout, Collect, and Surveil.
Holdout:
Holdout Objectives asks you to protect either a piece of Land, person or object for a set amount of turns as enemies start pouring in. These are generally pretty difficult, but rewarding.
Collect:
Collect Objectives demand that you find a set of hidden caches throughout the map. Cashes show up on the map as soon as you come within line of sight of them, and contain helpful items.
Surveil:
Surveil Objectives are rather straightforward. All they ask is that you go to a set of co-ordinates on the larger map for each area, for Intel Gathering. Finishing Surveil Objectives add positive Modifiers for the remainder of your Hunt.
The Main Objective of a Demon Hunt is to eliminate the boss at the end of a given dungeon. Finishing the Optional Objective grants a 20% EXP bonus at the end, if you finish your Hunt. Both the Optional Objective and the Final Objective has to be completed in the same Dungeon Run for this EXP Boost to apply.
And that's it. If you have any questions regarding Demon Hunts, feel free to message me on New Arcana, or through Discord.
Good luck, and Happy Hunting.
