Time to Unwind (Mina and Waddle-dee SL)

The living quarters common room was quiet save for the low humming of ventilation. Nobody was present except for Mina, and that was the way she preferred it.

She reclined in an easy chair and breathed a quiet sigh of relief, smiling to herself a little. Of course, the room was messy, but that was irrelevant. Water under the proverbial bridge, she told herself. It had, after all, been a pretty long day on the ship for her.

As she was sitting there lounging..or relaxing, one of the small spherical Waddle-dee's wandered on in carrying a bucket and some cleaning supplies, it was soon followed by another Waddle-dee with a broom, then one with a mop, then another with additional cleaning supplies.

These Waddle-dee's got to work cleaning the messy common room, sweeping dusting, and otherwise making things tidy, it was a slow process of course, but one that was aided by the fact that slowly more Waddle-dee's were entering the large common room to lend a hand with cleaning and straightening up the place, moving furniture out of the way to allow for cleaning under them, and generally cleaning every surface in the place slowly but surely.

Then another group of Waddle-dee's came in with equipment for Maintenance on the electronics and ship parts in the room and they started to work as well, and soon the room had well over two to three dozen Waddle-dee's all working to clean and upkeep the room, thankfully they were all very small in relation to most people that would be in the room, and they worked silently, only the sound of spray bottles, tools, or cleaning could be heard as well as the little boop boop boop sound of the Waddle-dee's walking about as they did their duty for the ship.

Wilhemina watched as the waddle-dees dutifully marched into the room, dutifully cleaning every surface of the common. More and more of the orb-shaped creatures filed in, filling the room with the little aliens.

Sure, she had seen them before but their constant, steady pace never ceased to amaze. She quietly observed as they scrubbed and wiped down the room.

After a few minutes of awkward silence, Mina figured she might as well give trying to break the ice a shot. She didn't know how the waddle-dees communicated (not having mouths and all) but she stooped down to face one of the spherical helpers. "Hello...?" She murmured in a rather unsure tone of voice.

The Work continued as the Waddle-dee's were cleaning and repairing everything in the room, slowly but surely it was being cleared of trash, and worn out things were being repaired or replaced as the efficient little guys did their work in relative silence.

They didn't bother the girl sitting in the room, she seemed to want to relax after all and so the little creatures continued their work some rushing out with collected trash or broken parts just as others rushed in with more supplies or fresh parts at almost the same time the broken parts were being taken out, it was quite the sight to see as they worked so efficiently.

Then as one was walking by the girl suddenly stooped down to look at one Waddle-dee who returned the gaze and listened to her, another scooting over and taking the cleaning cloth it was holding and continuing with the work so that this one could give the girl it's undivided attention.

As she greeted the little waddle-dee it waved to her and smiled, well it was obviously smiling cause of it's eyes, but it seemed very happy to be greeting someone. At about that time another Waddle-dee came rushing in with a notepad and a pencil and handed it to the Waddle-dee being talked to it then looked to the girl and waved as well before quickly scooting off again taking a few worn light coverings with it just as more fresh ones arrived.

The other waddle-dee that Mina was talking to started to write on the notepad then turned it around so she could read it with once again a smile. "Hello"
