ReputationReputations make or break every endeavor you have when interacting with other people. Every accomplishment you perform generally build up your reputation among people. But every failure will negatively impact it. Some notable people will not bother to interact with you if you lack enough credibility. For business to go smoothly and to endeavor to further heights, you need a good reputation.
All player characters begin at 0 points in Reputation and must work to bring them up to distinguish themselves from the rabble. You may not use Character Strengths to start out with a higher rank of Reputation. But if your character is personally connected to some entity with higher reputation, it is possible to swing that connection around to your benefit. However, your actions may impact the one whose reputation you are using and may face some consequences.

NotorietyIf Reputation is about positive accomplishments that give back to the Society, then Notoriety is one where your accomplishments are more received for criminal elements. Not everyone can be a straight-laced citizen avoiding illegal behavior. Others might seek out a life of crime because it's all they know or they seek out the risk-taking ventures that brings spice to their lives. Whatever the case, a high notoriety will not be easily accepted by a number of public institutions. And like Reputation, Notoriety can also be lost depending on your actions affecting the criminal and lawless elements in society. Your standard Lawbreaker will use Notoriety in combination with Reputation as you are posing as two identities.
