Reputation And Hunter Ranks CbbG2Ac

Reputation

Reputations make or break every endeavor you have when interacting with other people. Every accomplishment you perform generally build up your reputation among people. But every failure will negatively impact it. Some notable people will not bother to interact with you if you lack enough credibility. For business to go smoothly and to endeavor to further heights, you need a good reputation.

All player characters begin at 0 points in Reputation and must work to bring them up to distinguish themselves from the rabble. You may not use Character Strengths to start out with a higher rank of Reputation. But if your character is personally connected to some entity with higher reputation, it is possible to swing that connection around to your benefit. However, your actions may impact the one whose reputation you are using and may face some consequences.

Guild Reputation/Gang Notoriety Requirements are 3 times the amount required for individual people.

Ranks And Points To Reach Them

  • Rank 0 - Nobody (0 - 10)
  • Rank 1 - Plebeian (11 - 50)
  • Rank 2 - Citizen (51 - 100)
  • Rank 3 - Noteworthy (101 - 150)
  • Rank 4 - Celebrity (151 - 199)
  • Rank 5 - Historic (200)

Examples On Getting Reputation (Not Limited To)

  • Completing Missions of Normal difficulty (+1)
  • Completing Missions of Hard difficulty (+3)
  • Completing Missions of Risky difficulty (+5)
  • Closing Out Tears/Domains (+5)
  • Discovering new Landmarks/Outposts/Mining Areas in the Elysium Dungeons (+10)
  • Defeating/Negotiating Elysium Floor bosses (+10)
  • Discovering secret rooms (+15)
  • Discovering new Elysium Floors (+15)
  • Contributing heavily to Plot Events (+20)

Notoriety

If Reputation is about positive accomplishments that give back to the Society, then Notoriety is one where your accomplishments are more received for criminal elements. Not everyone can be a straight-laced citizen avoiding illegal behavior. Others might seek out a life of crime because it's all they know or they seek out the risk-taking ventures that brings spice to their lives. Whatever the case, a high notoriety will not be easily accepted by a number of public institutions. And like Reputation, Notoriety can also be lost depending on your actions affecting the criminal and lawless elements in society. Your standard Lawbreaker will use Notoriety in combination with Reputation as you are posing as two identities.

Ranks And Points To Reach Them

  • Rank 0 - Nobody (0 - 10)
  • Rank 1 - Pushover (11 - 50)
  • Rank 2 - Delinquent (51 - 100)
  • Rank 3 - Scandalous (101 - 150)
  • Rank 4 - Top Dog (151 - 199)
  • Rank 5 - Boss (200)

Examples On Getting Reputation (Not Limited To)

  • Gain small territories (+5)
  • Gain huge territories (+10)
  • Defeat and takeover rival gangs (+10)
  • Infiltrate and Expose Government Corruption (+15)

Hunter Ranks

Upon awakening, you are eligible as a licensed Hunter. This means you are licensed to take on Tears/Domains and the Elysium dungeons. You are entitled to the spoils of your hunt. However, you have a responsibility to defend citizens from Demons and Shadows. This includes cooperating with the Demon Suppression Force (D.S.F.) on such related matters.

You are able to access a Mission Board to check on the latest requests to finish in exchange for rewards and for reputation.  Some missions have certain requirements in order to accept the task at hand. Most of them are locked by Hunter Rank, which is dependent on your level and the number of Requests completed successfully. To skyrocket through the Hunter Ranks, you must complete missions and prove your strength. Each mission will grant you Rank Points depending on the rank and difficulty of each mission.

As a reminder not all Missions are Hunter Missions that give you Rank Points.

Missions:
Difficulty:

  • Easy: +1 Point (Some Stats approx. 20 or 30 below Party Average)
  • Medium: +3 Points (Stats approx. around Party Average)
  • Hard: +5 Points (Stats minimum 20 points above Party Average)
  • Risky: +7 Points (Stats minimum 30 points above Party Average)

Letter Ranks:

  • E: +1 Points
  • D: +3 Points
  • C: +5 Points
  • B: +7 Points
  • A: +9 Points
  • S: +11 Points

Hunter Rank Requirements:

  • E Rank: Every new character starts here.
  • D Rank: Level 11 & 20 Rank Points total.
  • C Rank: Level 21 & 50 Rank Points total.
  • B Rank: Level 41 & 90 Rank Points total.
  • A Rank: Level 61 & 140 Rank Points total.
  • S Rank: Level 81 & 200 Rank Points total.

Lawbreakers

Unlike the Hunters, Lawbreakers are not limited by rank nor are they categorized by it. Their Mission Board is open to every Lawbreaker. The only requirements are generally notoriety and whatever qualifications you must need to sign-up. However, you it will be listed with an equivalent rank to the Hunter missions to have an idea what to expect.
