Appearance: Alessandro's features are best described as "indistinct", with 5'8'' of height, dark hair, grey eyes, and a near-constant small frown on his face. His blue guard uniform is usually the only thing people remember after seeing him, and if he wears his civilian clothing (usually consisting of gray shirts or sweaters and cheap jeans), not even that. He actually has a pretty muscular build, but it is not very noticeable under the clothes.

Alternate Appearance: Alessandro's Masked Protector guise offers a sharp contrast to his normal look, with its gold-and-blue color scheme and eye-catching design. It consists of golden armor pieces over a deep blue bodysuit, with matching armored gloves and boots, as well as a majestic cape (gold on the outside, blue on the inside). The most prominent feature, however, is a big shield-shaped golden mask, stretching beyond the face outline. Its only holes are slits for the eyes, creating a heroic yet detached appearance.

Personality: Deep inside, Alessandro is an idealistic man, truly believing that by performing acts of heroism and by publicly adhering to a moral standard, one can inspire other people to do likewise, work together, and overcome the impossible. His ideals are inspired by the pre-Dark Age comic books, which greatly impacted his childhood for the best.
There's just one problem - he doesn't consider himself to be truly fitting for that role. Alessandro is still haunted by guilt for his actions one year ago, which is the primary cause of his depressive tendencies and self-esteem issues. For a time, he distanced himself from the world and shunned social interaction more and more, which is still reflected in his choice of clothing.

The Masked Protector identity, a manifestation of his newly-gained powers, provided the perfect copout - a chance to start anew, to be a better person without being chained by the past. And Alessandro swore to not throw that chance away.
Thus, while wearing the mask, Alessandro is courageos, heroic, compassionate and selfless. He draws upon the comics to create his persona, but (despite how it might seem) instead of blindly following the cliches, he reconstructs them in accordance with his ideals. He never kills (despite the fact that people can come back from the dead), and tries to use words (campy as his words are) instead of violence. In short, he tries to be exactly the perfect image of superhero he was fascinated with as a kid.
How much of that is merely a mask, and how much is true, is a question much too hard even for Alessandro himself.

Oh, and aside from all that superhero stuff, Alessandro always cares for his sister Sofia's wellbeing, struggling to provide her a good, stable future. Or, considering recent events... at least a future.

—Description: For the Masked Protector, it's easy to inspire other people to do heroic things, and to be better people in general - and not only by words, but also by actions, and, sometimes, just by being there. He is exactly the type of hero who might cause a villain to rethink their ways, and a bystanded to rise up and help others.

—Strength Name: Freedom and Security
—Description: Being a security guard, Alessandro has access to information and resources of the firm he works in, as well as to current rumors about places his co-workers guard. Additionally, he possesses a concealed carry license and is trained to use a gun.

—Strength Name: Heroic Image
—Description: The message that the Masked Protector sends resonates well with common people, and the fact that he seems to be on their side also helps.
The Masked Protector starts with Rank 1 Favor with Last Battalion, and enjoys the subsequent benefits.

—Strength Name: Boxing Enthusiast
—Description: As a security guard, Alessandro needs to know how to fight. This need resulted in him attending a boxing club, and over time, he's gotten quite good at the elegant art of kicking the shit out of each other.
In mechanical terms, this means Alessandro gains a 15% boost to Strike attacks.

—Description: Additionally, Alessandro gains +10% to his Lk stat, representing his precise and powerful attacks.

—Weakness Name: The Hypocrite
—Description: In his private life, Alessandro is far from the moral hero he appears to be. The more you know him, the more his hypocrisy becomes apparent. It's quite likely, that, if the truth of his past (or, to be precise, his actions one year ago) were to be revealed, a lot of people would turn against him.

—Weakness Name: Great Responcibility
—Description: Alessandro is an orphan, with his father abandoning the family after the birth of his sister Sofia and his mother dying in a car accident two years before now. As such, he was forced to become Sofia's legal guardian. It is quite a heavy burden, and it was one of the factors which forced Alessandro's hand a year ago.

—Weakness Name: Destined Rivalry
—Description: Heroes battle villains, and who fits the role better than a sinister doomsday cult? As such, battles between the Masked Protector and the Heralds are unavoidable, and they would surely make steps to protect themselves.
As such, the Masked Protector starts with Rank 1 Ire with the Heralds.

—Weakness Name: Fear of the Dark
—Description: Alessandro was always afraid of dark places, and growing up only lessened that fear, instead of alleviating it completely. In his childhood, he imagined living shadows and demons hiding there. Later, the more realistic thugs and criminals took their place. And now, when actual Shadows and demons roam in the world? That fear is as strong as ever.
Mechanically, this is represented by reduction of all Dark attacks Alessandro might make by 15%. (Also, his Persona is weak to Dark, but that does not figure into balancing this weakness.)
