It all began with the stars shutting down. One by one, people lost hope and the world was bathed in darkness.
Stars, you see, show us the way. They've shown us the way for the longest time, so without them, we were lost. Every single one of us lost. Perhaps that is why the world disappeared. Maybe because we could no longer wish for tomorrow, that tomorrow ceased to exist. But also, perhaps, that is why today we could all stand together, at the scape of our dreams, reawakened. Shaken, we stood in the sun, as our Personas formed the world around us. Potential, everyone holds- no, everyone is infinite potential. And so long as that's true, can we say the world is over?
A single Lone Star still lights the path forward for us. For you. So... Awaken. In this Shard of existence. Plug. The Persona module.
And soar into space of your own imagination-
...for that is where I await you.
Welcome to my pitch for Personas in Space. I am your host, Froger, and I will guide you through the basics.
See, in Personas in Space, there is no actual space. The space vanished. What is left is nonexistence. Then how do you exist? All cognitive beings hold within them the potential of a small world. They are what forms reality, in other words. You load your spacecrafts with your Personas and form the world around you.
I said you hold the potential, but you need to bring it out. Natural Persona Users no longer exist. You bring your Personas out by using Persona Plugs. A single character can hold multiple Persona plugs on their person and they can gain more. There's no limit to anyone's potential. You can even, say, install a Forgotten plug for when the going gets rough and your HP drops low enough to trigger Last Life? Switching classes is a breeze in the future!
Dogfights in space, daily life at the station, intergalactic wars against races of evil androids that are seeking to enslave every other race? Easy peasy, lemon squeazy. Come on over to Personas in Space, a public-vote mission-based interactive roleplaying story where everyone's wishes is what propells the plot forward!

Chapter 0: Space Fort Zero
Your body aches as you press your hands against the cold and bumpy surface you found yourself laying on, pushing yourself to your knees. Looking around, what you see is some sort of chamber in what you'd, at first glance, describe as an old spaceship. The chamber feels familiar, but you can't say for sure, as whenever you even think about thinking about it, an awful buzzing noise washes over you, sending bolts of pain through your head. Amnesia? Or something else? Either way, there are others waking up around you and, either together or alone, you each venture out into a nearby hallway, only to be stopped and greeted by a mysterious human...
"Ah, so that's what that was about." The human says, unimpressed, but feigning some semblance of surprise and enthusiasm, a constant polite smile present on his face. His motions are curteous and well practiced, showing you at the very least he knows how to act polite and welcoming. With a slight bow, he continues, offering you his hand. "As the captain of this vessel, it is my honor to wish you good morning and welcome to SS Philemon."

Introducing an NPC:
Arcana 1: The Magician - Captain of SS Philemon --- The mysterious man claiming to own the spaceship you woke up on. Whatever his intentions, something seems fishy. His name is unknown.

Personas in Space concepts explained:
Persona Modules --- Persona Modules are devices equipped somewhere on the user's body (most often the arm) that connect to their nervous system, giving artificial shape to the potential within them. By loading Persona Plugs, one can access their potential, giving it a temporary shape contained within the Plug's data. This is most often a second body, in other words-a Persona, but it could also be a weapon of some sort or one might even allow their innermost desires to overlay their body temporarily, giving it a new shape and powers. Persona (Order/Chaos/Unstable), Forgotten and Shadow Self Plugs are obtainable items that can either be bought or won by defeating enemies in PiS.
Additionally, your Persona Module will also serve as your main communicator and a method of accessing your items and funds. In other words, it's also the IC version of your Compendium.
Oh and it has to be...err...attached to your body. Removing it forcefully would likely mean loss of limb or worse. Heheh...
---
Persona Plugs --- Plugs come in many shapes and sizes. The color signifies the form your potential will take when ran through the Module equipped with that Plug. Blue for Order Persona, Red for Chaos Persona, Green for Unstable, Yellow for Weapon, Gray for Shadow Self. Each plug can be loaded with one Persona (or otherwise) of its corresponding type, and each Module can be loaded with up to 3 different Plugs at any given moment, allowing you to browse freely through them in battle, accessing their various abilities to your advantage. Persona Modules might be upgraded to function with more than 3 Plugs over the plot progression.
Each plug has its own progression which depends on the amount of skills loaded into it and the type of Persona within it. Each plug will also grant you stat progression per rank up. Additionally, you'll be able to load extra skill slots into your Plugs, either by buying them or by winning them in combat. Each Skill Slot has its own Tier signifying the power level of the skill you're able to load in it. There are some restrictions though. For example, a Tier 3 Skill Slot might require you to first have a certain number of other skills unlocked on your Plug before being able to complete its rank-up. Tier 4 will require Tier 3 skills to have already been loaded and unlocked before it itself is available for unlocking.
Replacing Skill Slot from one Plug with those of another is also possible, but at a fee.
Oh, and each plug is also characterized by its Arcana, which cannot be changed after having been set up.
---
Velvet Coins --- VC will now be earned after every battle. The sideplot isn't going to be a grand plot arching over multiple real-time years, so I reckon a faster pace would do everyone some good.
---
Plot Progression --- The plot of PiS is fragmented into Chapters and each Chapter will feature a series of missions for more than one group to enjoy, forming a single cohesive storyline. In order to allow everyone an equal chance of enjoying the plot missions and, in turn, its progression, Chapters will focus heavily on a self-contained story revolving around a topic that would most likely concern most, if not all, players and their characters equally. To give an example, in Chapter 0, all players wake up on a mysterious ship, greeted by the Magician Arcana's Captain of Philemon. None recall how they got into the spaceship but they can normally recall the rest of their life. Armed with Persona Modules, the players will have to solve the mystery surrounding the Spaceship Philemon and its Captain.
Throughout the Chapter's plot-related missions, participating players would be able to raise their Social Link level with Captain of Philemon as they learn about the reality they woke up in.

Global Social Links --- As stated prior, throughout a Chapter's plot progression, players will be able to raise their Social Link level with some of the available NPCs. This will be done through the concept of Global Social Links. These Social Links are only available with NPCs and are Social Links that are shared by the entire playerbase, marking the strength of their connection with a particular NPC. As you uncover more information about any NPC, through whispers and talkings it's made public, bringing everyone closer to them, in a sense. These Global Social Links will unlock important missions, quests and abilties for the entire playerbase to enjoy, but they will cap at Rank 6. This is to make NPCs feel closer to the players than ever before on this site, as they will grow as characters apparent to every player on the site, their information not hidden away in roundabout plot topics strewn around the site. This mechanic will also speed up the process of Social Linking NPCs, as 6 rank ups will generally be automatic for everyone. The first Global Social Link available in PiS will be the Magician Arcana. Look forward to uncovering the supposed Captain of Philemon for who he really is and laying him bare to the entire playerbase.

Dogfights
Could Personas in Space really be called "in Space" if there weren't any cool spaceship fights?? Well hell no, it couldn't, so that's what I'm here to sell.
By loading your Persona Module into a spaceship, you can duke it out in a Dogfight-a new concept introduced in PiS that builds upon the older concept of Persona Skirmishes, where combat happened on a big map. By entering an Automatically Forming Anti-Space Dungeon, or well, an AFASD, whatever, let's just call it a Space Dungeon, you move by piloting a spaceship loaded with up to 3 of your Persona Plugs. Coming across enemies, you initiate combat that plays as 3v3, where you can only use your Persona Plugs' skills to attack the enemy. In a way, it plays similarly to Devil Survivor, if you're familiar with that game.
So combat is initiated by entering a space occupied by an enemy. There will be multiple enemies strewn around the map and the goal is to clear the map. Combat only occurs one turn at a time, with you and your target enemy trading blows. You can only use your 3 equipped Persona Plugs to fight, so it's more like you comandeering them through your spaceship's interface than being an active participant in combat. You lose if all 3 of your Plugs are destroyed, but so long as you have at least one active Plug, you can initiate combat. These Dogfights are designed to be akin to spaceships duking it out in outer space. There might be motherships or whatnot or your mission might be to somehow infiltrate the enemy lines by breaking through them. There are multiple types of spaceships to pilot in Dogfights. Standard, Offense, Defense and Speed builds. More info to be revealed.
Changes from regular Persona Skirmishes include:
a smaller map
more minor enemies
faster movement and combat pace, with at least 3 actions per turn and a possibility of enabling press turns for up to 9 actions
hopefully being actually fun to play through
Either way, for more questions, ask away. We'll see how it works in action.
