Can I be a Cultist of Personality? (Lupin/Raphael Interaction)

Lupin had decided to check out the clubs in school, maybe pick up a skill or two for his terrorist outings, all of the clubs looked pretty good, but there was one from the list of clubs that stood out to Lupin. The cult of personality. Seemed a little extreme but hey Lupin won't judge he is the goofball who goes around bouncing on a pogo stick. Yeah, he can't speak.

Lupin walked into the Cult of personality. This place looked pretty fancy, but the best part. They got the song playing in the background. "I love this song."

Lupin continued to look around while singing along, its nice club the leader has set up. Lupin is curious about what kind of skills he could learn here.

With the music playing in the background, Raphael was basically sitting at one of the booths in a casual blazer attire while nodding to the beat. He didn't always blast it, but it was loud enough for people to know that he was here and he was ready to get this club activity started. He actually had an activity for some people today, but some individuals were running a little late. But much to his surprise, he heard someone singing along to his song.

"Huh? Lupin? You go to the seven stars academy? What brings you here?"

Lupin would find his attention caught as he found Mr. Gatsby here. Lupin was somewhat surprised at the fact Raphael was here. Lupin with a sense of surprise said to Raphael. "I could I ask the same thing Mr.Gatsby hi didn't expect you here." Lupin then decided to explain himself. "Well since I go here I figure I might as well check out the different clubs seven stars had to offer and I saw the name of this club. It stood out among the rest so I figure I check it out."

Lupin swiveled his head around to look around the place some more. "You have pretty good taste in music, Mr.Gatsby, so what do people do in this club." Lupin was wondering what kind of skills he could pick up here. Maybe skills that can help him deal with demons. Maybe win women over. Lupin was curious that's for sure.

"Raphael is fine, I wouldn't want it to feel odd to you since we were in the same educational institution. However, I'd have to admit that I'm hardly taking any of this seriously. Well, I'm taking THIS seriously, my club. Everything else, pretty much secondary to my vault. But once again, welcome to my club!"

What did people do in this club?

"My job is to teach you the social tools in order to sell yourself and bring about a high standard that makes others see you in a priceless limelight. My job here is to teach people how to take their own personalities and turn it into an alluring aura that can allow them to make friends and influence people. There is also a bit of negotiating in my methods as well, it's also important to know how to negotiate with people. Interested? What i'm offering is something practical that you can always ave with you, wherever you go. "

Lupin listened with intent. This club sounded right up his alley, this is going to be especially useful in Lupin's line of work or just life in general.

"That sounds super helpful Raphael, sure lets go, I was looking for something like this. Can you please teach me how to sway people, Raphael."

Lupin looked excited to learn, maybe he could use this to win Lisa over. Probably not, it would most likely take more than that. But whatever Lupin is here to learn.

"What's first on the agenda, maybe changing the limelight to a lemon light perhaps? just to mix things up." Lupin was trying to display some comedy, making people laugh is a good thing right? Lupin hoped this would gel over well.

"Well...I mean... if you are asking me for help, I have no intention of turning you away...."

The joke itself made Raphael had a little bit od a dumbfounded look on his face, as if he felt like there was a kicker that he was supposed to get and must have missed.  However, he started to look a little deeper into it and nodded his head after humming to himself.

"I already figured it out Lupin, you are the type that likes to tell little jokes here and there to break the ice. This might be a bit of a stretch, but humor plays a big role in your social interactions, is that correct? That's a bit of a happy go lucky strategy to get people to like you. But what do you usually turn to when that doesn't work?"

Lupin took a moment to think about Raphael's question, Lupin had a brief moment of reflection and the proceeded. "Yeah I say that's pretty accurate, I usually do resort to humor, I try to have an upbeat attitude, after all, emotions are contagious and that's important in my line of work."

Lupin then started to reveal his trademark pogo stick explain. "Thankfully I have other ways of achieving some charisma. People are amazed pogo sticks are still a thing nowadays."

Lupin was odd, even he knew that.

"Your line of work... you see.. that's where you kind of got me confused. You said that you were apart of an orphanage or something? Or maybe that's what I heard when I had some people look into you and your people, background checks for the sake of good business and good faith. "

He didn't want to make it look like he didn't trust lupin or that he was spying on him.

"Let's start from the beginning... are you a professional comedian or something? I mean, not to knock your form of travel but pogo sticks are a bit impractical my short friend. "

Lupin heard Raphael out, considering that there previous meeting Lupin isn't surprised that Raphael would want answers, So Lupin being the good boy that decides to tell Raphael the whole pogo stick business. "To cut a long and sad story short, I am from an orphanage in Selene, a town south of Endymion, I was initially sent here by Roi as apart of a deal he had with some government official, Selene gives people and some branch of the government will supply Selene with food, however that deal seemed to fall through as that government official has failed to uphold their side of the bargain. So I am stuck doing comedy performances in order to buy the supplies myself. You would be surprised how much people are willing to give just to see me bounce on a pogo stick."

Lupin gave Raphael a small amount of time to process all of that, Lupin believed his intentions came off as clear, people do tend to like it when people are straight forward with them, but that just speaking from Lupin's experience. Lupin then said this hoping not to sound rude. "I can give you the long version if you want, but I am worried we are getting a bit sidetracked." Lupin then taken one moment to finish off with "I hope I am not coming off as rude or anything." Lupin would just wait for Raphael response to Lupin's short story.

"What does that........mean? Giving up your people? To do what?"

At this point, Raphael's usual swagger went a little amiss, maybe it was because he was a little more emotional about some things than his other twin was? Either way, the fact that it seemed as if people were being traded away to Endymion with nothing in return to help the person you made a deal with, it didn't sit well with Raphael at all.

"The government refused to hold it's end of the deal and your people end up relying on you, putting all of their hopes on your shoulders. And look at me, trying to take away your monuments to place in my vault when you are faced with real problems. I got to hand it to you... I feel like a scum bag....for not knowing about it and not being able to do anything about it.  I'm sorry Lupin....."

He really was.

"Not too sidetracked, this can also play into actually communicating with people. You could have negotiated something better for the people in Selene with me on the spot. I just got to the city myself, I have no real pull or much of anything that can... make a big change, but that's at least one person who's aware of your problem and can go down the line until we can find someone who can help. So... maybe it's a good idea that you are here after all. "

Lupin tried his best to reassure Raphael, Lupin hates making people upset unless their government people then they sorta deserve it, but that's, not the part Lupin is focusing on. Lupin is trying his best to make Raphael feel better.

"I don't know about the other orphans that were sent to Endymion but I ended getting enrolled to Seven Stars, I am not sure what this government official would want with them.

But Raphael you didn't know about Selene's state you shouldn't beat yourself up over that, lots of people in Endymion rarely think about the people outside of Endymion's walls, you're not a scumbag Raphael you were just uninformed I can't get angry with you for that. The only people who are scum are those who are well aware of Selene current situation and refuse to do anything about it. Like the Government official I mentioned." Lupin placed his right hand on the Gatsby's shoulder to comfort him. That's normal right? Anyhow Lupin would continue to try and reassure Raphael

"As for the statue, remember Selene is still out in the demon-infested desert, Selene's main concerns are food and protection, Roi and the other leaders of Selene, Spencer, and Chasseur have already got the protection part covered. Unless marble is a healthy snack this statue isn't helping anyone sitting in Selene."

Lupin then took what Raphael said into consideration about the deal. "Your right I could've made a deal right off the bat, however, I can't just go snap and the deal is made without getting the other leaders of Selene's approval first. Roi made that same mistake and now Selene is still waiting on Endymion to get them food. Roi is lucky that his little bro is on the case. I do have a deal in mind, but I understand this is a lot to take in all at once. So it might be worth sitting down for a minute and let it sink in."

Lupin just finished off with "You might not have authority over the government, but you can help in a major way. You can help me refine my speaking technique, you can help me become a more charming Lupin. I can find a solution to this problem but I need your help, Raphael. You may not think it would be much but believe me when I say even the tiniest of actions can make a difference." Lupin gave a confident look in order to show Raphael how determined he was to get to the bottom of this whole mess. Lupin has found a potential key to success, now he justs need to use it correctly.
