Very Important People Only [Shouhei]

Though being a celebrity wasn't easy it was at least the most fun job one could have, at least from Athena's perceptive. After she elevated her model career into an acting one she found herself being invited to more and more exclusive events from the big show business corporations.

That night she was one of the few people who have gotten an invitation for the opening of "Glamour" a generic club opened by some washed down celebrity Athena didn't bother memorizing the name of. Despite all that the young idol always enjoyed the attention her new status got her and attended the event by convincing her manager she wanted to make connections.

Unfortunately nobody was able to catch Athena's attention, since the party wasn't a big event none of the big names showed up and since the celebrity who was hosting was relatively old only the newest and some of the oldest actors and singers made an appearance leaving Athena in a weird spot in the middle of age and experience. Bored with the guests she decided to explore the venue, since only a few people were invited many of the club's rooms remained empty.

“Shouhei!  So good to see you, glad you could make it,” Kazuhiro Hayashida gleefullly exclaimed, as he firmly shook Shouhei Kagawa’s hand and graciously entered him into the club.  Eye length blonde tresses framed a remarkably notable and handsome face of the talent agent.  Sharp red eyes almost seemed to perfectly convey the more than shrewd nature and avariciousness of Kazuhiro.


“...Thanks for the invite, Hayashida-san,” Shouhei answered, as he glanced anxiously about the club.  More than ever he was nervous, for this was one of his first times he was getting a chance to socialize and mingle with those in the entertainment industry.  By chance Kazuhiro had scoped out Shouhei’s debut performance at his host club, Venus As A Boy, which led to the invitation to this party.

“Kaz!  Call me Kaz, we’re on good terms, aren’t we?  Want a drink?  Please, get comfortable, if you’re as big a ticket as I think you are, it’s best to set up a strong foundation and connections as soon as possible,” Kaz beamed as the pair walked through the club.

“...Whiskey, on the rocks, please and thanks.”  Shouhei adjusted his tie, and shoved his hands into his pockets as he waited for the drink.


Within moments Kaz returned, and continued to walk Shouhei along.  “Now then, like I was saying, you should meet new people if you want to get far in this industry.”

“...I haven’t even hired you yet, Kaz.  Why bother with all this bullshit if I don’t even want ya as my agent,” Shouhei blankly stated as he sipped his drink.  The fiery feeling washed down his gullet, making him feel more alert, more wary of the agent’s words.

“Yet.  I’m willing to let you get a better impression of me, and this party is just the beginning.  I’ll show you a world of possibility, Shouhei, if you let me.  Ah!  Look!” Kaz gestured towards a more than alluring pink haired woman that seemed to shine and stand out amongst the others.  “You recognize her, right?  Athena Griva?  She’s now a pretty prosperous model, but she started as an idol.  If you talk to her you could learn a few things, hell, maybe land yourself a gig in modeling even.”

“...I ain’t as pretty as that,” again Shouhei flatly said, brutally honest.  “But it’d be nice to pick up a few things like ya said.”

“Don’t sell yourself short, Shouhei, ever.  I always want you to remember that, and if you stick with me, you’ll find yourself capable of great things.  Come on, I’ll introduce you,” Kaz hooked an arm around Shouhei’s shoulder, and pulled him along to Athena.  All the while, Shouhei’s heart began to race faster and faster, the closer they got.  He wasn’t sure how this happened, or why, just that it was moving at a pace he wasn’t comfortable with.

“Mrs. Griva!  Pleasure to meet you, I’m Kazuhiro Hayashida.  My future client here was wondering if he could have some words with you.”

Athena turned as soon as the man called her, however she didn't reply right away. She studied both him and his "client", both of them attractive young men, dressed on point for the occasion but not extravagant. She smiled, "Ah mr. Haysida a pleasure to meet you." she said offering her hand for a shake. "And hello to you too." she added as she turned her attention to his client "I don't believe I've seen you before, are you a newcomer then or should I start reading more magazines?"

“You’ll be seeing him everywhere, if he signs up with me,” Kaz firmly shook Athena’s hand while offering a wide smile.  With that he gave a solid pat on Shouhei’s shoulder and said, “Go on, let her know who you are.  I’ll be telling the others about you.”

While Kaz slinked off away to do his unpaid work, Shouhei shook his head before taking a sip of his drink.  He needed that burning sensation to keep his mouth and voice steady enough in front of this famous idol and superstar.

“...Name’s Shouhei.  Shouhei Kagawa,” he finally stated, as he bowed humbly in front of Athena as a show of respect.  He rose back up, awkwardly scratching the back of his head while continuing, “I wanna be as big as you someday.  I’m a pretty huge fan too; your last album didn’t deserve the harsh criticism that it did.”

"Thank you Shouhei, you flatter me." Athena replied with a smile. "Truth be told I understand why my album was treated like that by critics, they find my music too simple and my lyrics too shallow as if my music was ever meant to entertain middle age emotionally stunned snobs like them, my songs are meant to boost the confidence of teenage girls. She paused looking at Shouhei "not that they are the only ones who can enjoy them. Either way it's nice that you enjoy my art."

Athena took a sip from her drink "You haven't told me about yourself yet though, and I think your manager will be sad if he finds out you used this chance just to hear me talking about a music album."
