Appearance: Being the twin brother of Gabriel, Raphael is slightly taller than his original counterpart. Standing at a height of 6'2, his hair is naturally very thick and just a little bit bristly. It takes on a bit of a jet black color that he sometimes let hang aimlessly around his face, covering his glasses. However, he does manage to clean it up whenever he gets the chance to, slicking it back at times. His jawline is quite chiseled, really bringing out the features of his smile whenever that moment occurs. He possesses a slim body frame, with a slight bit of an athletic look that could delve into the possibility of Raphael going through some bits of physical activity to keep himself busy.

His voice is rather calming and self-assured, it displays a show of confidence with his vocalizations and allows people to feel more comfortable when talking to him. He bears a few scars on his hands, showing much about the amount of hard work and physical labor that he had to endure in order to pursue his own desires. However, he's proud of that hard worth ethic and isn't afraid to show it off. Raphael has clean white teeth with no trace of plaque or abnormalities whatsoever. Besides his hands, the rest of his skin is soft.

Alternate Appearance: Raphael's alternate appearance as a terrorist first start with his outfit. He wears a black dress shirt with matching dress pants, a pale gray tie around his neck and a belt with a long, thin buckle around his waist, with three beaded lobe piercings in his left ear. Over this, he wears a dark olive-green bomber jacket, its collar lined with thick purple fur, and white lace-up sneakers. His most noticeable features are the white surgical gloves he wears on his hands and the magenta plague mask he wears over his mouth, which is tipped and embroidered with gold, serving as his signature terrorist mask.

Personality: If there is one thing about Raphael's personality that some people would notice, it's that he's duty bound to keep the promises that he makes. He considers it sacred to give his word on something, following through to the best of his ability. This makes him quite obvious with his intentions with people, saying what he's going to do no matter the consequences. Raph is also duty-driven, there are meaning and purpose in a life's work. Once he finds that there is something he can do that he feels like he was meant to do, he becomes a well-oiled machine for that purpose unless it's proven to him that there is a better cause he could support. The quirk of actually being a mentor and emotionally supporting people must be a Gatsby aspect, because even Raphael catches himself doing it for people.

But because of this, he's a stubborn guy. His tenacity is a blessing and a curse when it comes to certain situations. Sure, he believes in making the more considerable and logical situations at the time, but he still believes in the alternative that matches his own morality of what "he thinks is right". It's the same as entertaining an idea but not agreeing with it. And even with all of this, he seems bottled up. There is a space of emotions or even in his heart that seems inaccessible. He came back to carry the burdens left behind, leaving a lot to live up to, as well as a lot of things to change. There are times when he obviously looks like he's in pain, but whenever people try to dig a little deeper than that, he gets defensive.

Sometimes they don't bite initially, but that's exactly why negotiating with people and making things seem more attractive than usual is his specialty.

—Description: With his arcana affinity in question, and the death of his brother behind him, it seems as if the remnants of his twin's energy has transferred over to Raphael

—Description: In order to pass the time, Raphael used his passion for finding artifacts and displaying/selling them in order to create a museum that was dedicated to such findings. Ever since the great divide, such things become much more of a rarity due to the danger it faces, and while also doubling as a negotiator for such things to be presented in his museum, it has become a sense of fulfillment at times. It also serves as a nice place for people to sip wine and socialize over priceless artifacts, with at least one conversation being linked to why Raphael it the name that it has.

The Background

History:

Let's tell the REAL story of the Gatsby Family....

Starting with his father, Jonothan Gatsby. Around the time when his wife was pregnant, John was a fairly efficient negotiator whose job was to talk people out of things or verbally instruct them of doing something other than the sort. It paid good money, his consultation prices were exaggerated, but people were paying for quality, and high quality is what he delivered. But one day, Jonothan received a call about her wife being in labor, around the same time that a hospital in Endymion city was being under sieged by a shooter who was claiming injustice towards the hospital and their potential malpractices. The big Pharma institute did have a bit of a negative rep of the cost-cutting and other practices they did in order to increase the revenue they did, actually attracting other people to the cause of this lone terrorist through online forums before the attack started.

This was how it used to be before terrorism was about the supernatural, this was the rage of the injustice that was done towards people who were truly in pain. When emotions ran high, the trigger fingers felt heavy, which could of resulted in the massacre of the patients inside. John had to act, he was happy that his name had enough weight to take over the negotiation process while the Endymion swat team took over the rest.

But that was what was happening outside.........................

Inside of the complex was dozen of accomplices to the main instigators cause, all having weapons of their own. Some had their own personal stakes in it, others being pained by something that was holding them back. In particular, there was a man by the name of Richard Lacy who did enact the gears of change on this fateful day. The nurses and doctors were being "taken out" as a bit of a warning sign of what was to happen if their demands weren't being complied with. They were being hurt and maimed, no matter what kind of situation those doctors were going through during their treatment with their own patients. Some even continued to try to treat the urgent people while bleeding out at the same time, but one thing did catch Lacy's eye.

There was a woman on the bed, a Mrs. Gatsby that was afraid and alone. Richard put his gun down and comforted her during her time of hyperventilating, feeling remorse and pure shame of what he was apart of. However, the time when the baby was coming, it was around that same time that the Endymion swat team was making their move and turning this place into a full-on firefight.

Between the sound of glass and bullets, as well as the streams of a baby boy Richard instinctively took the baby and the medical chart as he ran. He had to get the baby to safety, something in him that wanted to do right wanted to protect the baby from harm, maybe even find out where the child came from and return it to its parents. But was it also shameless that he was using the baby as an insurance policy to save his own skin if he was found out?

As the swat team went in, John instinctively followed because he wanted to check on his wife. By the time he got in the room she was staying at, it seemed as if there was a baby coming. That baby was Gabriel, but even with a strange doubt in her heart, the mother wasn't truly aware of the second son, just the lone one.

"Fate Of The Second Son"

Lacy had to leave town, basically getting his things and leaving the city. There was basically a red alarm for the people involved, with it being noted that he was identified by police and not the only one who escaped. But what was he to do with the boy? His thoughts raced through his head as he tried to figure out how to secure this poor baby he took and save his own skin. he had a friend named Chuck Taylor, an archeologist that traveled the world. Chuck was going to go on an important trip, but he knew about what happened at the hospital. He owed Lacy a big favor, and it was to take care of the child. There was nothing but a medical chart and the child itself, with chuck assuming the worst of the kids parents since he heard shooting was going on. So as they split, Chuck took the kid as Lacy tried to split town and was ultimately arrested.

Chuck had no experience with children, but his wife Montanna took a liking to Raphael. Thet raised him, they thought it was important to do right by the child and give him some kind of semblance of a life. Going through the years of going through exhibitions and things of that nature, Raphael turned out to be quite the strapping young man who reminded Chuck of his early days. Since being sterile, he was appreciative of this fantasy of having a son. But Raphael wised up, posing the question of being adopted on his 17th birthday. The truth was told about Lacy and everything, as well as the medical paper that listed the Gatsby name.

Raphael wanted to go and see them, but that was around the time that the great divide occurred. He had to stay put and be safe, or better yet, that was what his foster parents wanted. So with that being said, Raphael wanted to do something with himself, he wanted to come back with something great attached to him that he could show off to his blood family. That even though he never got to know them, he still forgave them and made something of himself. That's why he took so long, he was discovering relics, honing his craft, and founding the Royal Explorers Vault. He wanted to bring that business to Endymion, he was always a Gatsby and wanted to remind them of that.

It was Raphael's turn to find his own truth.........

—Description: Between being a cadet and trying to manage a museum, a lot of Raphael's time is dedicated to communicating with people and even trying to please them to a degree. Believe it or not, those long days full of charismatic gibberish is work, and Raphael does have a tendency of being burned out after a while and secluding himself or only wanting to be around people who he's close to.

This doesn't quite balance out the museum business strength you have. Try to find something more concrete and game affecting.

Dimensions of your weapons would be very helpful.

As for your backstory, due to the nature of Gabe's death, there's honestly little to no chance he would ever know about such a thing. It's not like he was broadcasted over the news publicly as a martyr, so him knowing all these details about his family is a little odd to me. Be sure to fix that up.

Could you please explain what this does? I don't really know what this does, is it auto-noticing clues in crime scene-type Investigations or is it noticing the right person to speak to in an Investigation right away? That's the impression I'm getting.

I'm gonna say "no" to this one because the Magician Arcana boosts both Fire damage and Searing Burn rate like any other elemental Arcana boost for its respective element, so it's 2 boosts in 1. With your Weakness Policy Weakness being particularly strong I will allow this to be 10% as long as Weakness Policy stays how it is.

The History is good now but there are still notes to Gabe being dead in the Personality section. I'm willing to just understand and ignore those though, we all know what's square.

Absolutely not. If you want to do something impacting the plot or generally gaining things for your character that takes a Time of Day, no if's, and's, or but's and especially without a limit to what you can do. Asking favors of demons is right out.

Your Weakness shouldn't be a scaling limiter for your Strength, that's a natural part of your Strength and even then I'm generally against scaling Strengths anyway because Strengths are not supposed to scale. "Mephisto's Mark" by itself is a little out there and a strong Weakness but we'll have to see what it ends up balancing, if it ends up balancing things.
