Subject: Do Not Pass Go, Do Not Collect 200 VC (DC Dive Test) Thu May 30, 2019 11:47 pm
The Dive Machine rumbled to a halt at the edge of the Annex, coming to rest near the mouth of a narrow cave which led into a segment of Caverns that had yet to be explored in the first Block of the Underworld. It was dark, and the only immediate light the group of daring divers would have access to...were the flood lights of the Diving rig that shone it's harsh light over the door way.
In their minds, a short buzzing sound proceeded a voice that may or may not be familiar to them.
Compass Rose
"Hello, everyone? Can you all hear me? This is Compass Rose. We spoke before you embarked. This is your first real Dive so take it easy and pace yourselves. If you need my support, don't hesitate to ask. Good luck, you four."
map Key:
Red Diamonds: Enemies. Black dots on the diamonds show which direction they are facing. Ambush is possible from any distance as long as the target is looking away from you. You will be ambushed if you stop in a square within 4 squares of the enemy within it's field of vision.
Treasure boxes: Fuckin treasure, yo
Exclamation points: Important stuff
Blue guy: That's you guys.
DC dungeon Movement:
Anyone in the party can move the entire group with a single post. Regular posts move the group 3 squares, a post of 400 words or more moves the party 6 squares. Feel free to take turns or move all as one person. Every three turns of player movement, enemy position will change and new minimap will be posted. You may only shadow accel to a point you can see on the mini map. Beyond that point you risk ambush or worse.
Happy diving.
Compass Rose:
While Rosette isn't here with you physically, her Forgotten weapon, Calcifer, allows her to be with you in spirit. The player in control of her Tension can use the following skills outside of battle (dungeon) or inside of battle (tension).
Dungeon Skills
Shadow Relay | Allows the user to detect the general strength and attributes of an enemy within 10 squares that hasn't been alerted to the party's presence. 10 round cooldown. | Tier 4
Dungeon Ping | Rosette alerts players to the location of nearby treasure, enemies, or events. | Passive | Tier 3
Compass Rose Support Tension
Shadow Mimicry | Calcifer's own personal form of Analysis, where the shadows cast by the enemies give away their attributes. Acts as a Full Analysis skill which has been amplified by Third Eye. Once an enemy has been scanned by this ability, it will be logged for the remainder of the dungeon. | 15% first turn - cost increases by one stage for each round of combat. | Tier 3
Oracle's Blessing | User empowers their teammates with an enhancing aura right before an all out attack, causing the damage done to be doubled. | 25% | Tier 1
Rare Gift | One party member decreases their remaining SP by a number that can't exceed 15% of their maximum. Another team mate recovers half of this number, rounded up. | 50% | Tier 3
Remote Heal | One Party member heals 100% of their HP | 100% | Tier 4
Pathway of Light | After each victorious battle, all active party members recover 10% of their total SP. | Passive | Tier 3

"Narley." Frank was ready to go he got his placebo pills, he got his emergency items and he can heal people. "Frankly we can just shadow accel our way through this dungeon guys, this will be a piece of cake." Frank seems quite confident in his abilities. He has placebo arguably the best creation humanity has ever thought up. now he can be just like his favorite anime heroes.
This wasn't dangerous at all Frank thought to himself, what are people worried about, this will be easy with his placebo ridden body. This totally can't go wrong at all. Frank is just that confident. he then decided to ask his teammates "so what's your guy's name I wanted to ask but I also wanted to eat my nachos on the way down. You can understand the right guys." Can you tell that Frank is an idiot he will probably do something really stupid.
Frank decided to move forward on his own. "Let's do this guy we so got this. I believe we can do this with little to no issue what so ever. It's our way or the highway and the highway ain't got shit." Frank looks high as hell, he was excited. He yelled out his battle cry. 'Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo." This continued until he was out of sight. That's right Frank is such a good teammate he left his team behind like a bloody champion. This isn't going to end well. I wonder what will alert the shadows first. Sight smell or sound. Are you guys proud of him yet. This will be the legacy of Frank Gordan best anime hero of all time. "Where did you guys go." Frank seems to be out of breath and is having an existential crisis while he was there. Was he a bad teammate should he finally end it all. The placebo in his body tells to move forward. Yeah you got love needing to write filler so a fatass can move. Frank is just hyped to be apart of this. He can finally be a hero to everyone, who needs a persona, we just need drugs to survive. Lets do this is what is Frank thinking at the moment. He decisions won't cost him his life he was sure of this. Anyone with common sense would know this mindset is completely dumb.

Persona Skill List: ((Skills based on desired class Persona type.))
Special Ability: ((copy & Paste special ability relating to desired class here.)) Placebo Overdose
Placebo Overdose occurs when a Placebo user takes a second Placebo pill when they already have one active. The Placebo User experiences a surge of psychic potential for a short time, granting them the use of both Skill sets for three turns. Any pills beyond 2 do not amplify this effect, and consuming a second pill of the same type you are currently affected by only extends the effects of that pill for another week.
For three turns, the player has access to both skill sets, rolling any necessary randomized skills immediately upon taking the pill. However, Overdosing on Placebo has a cost. Upon reaching the end of their third turn, the Mundane has used up all their potential, and loses all Persona abilities (they lose their rank up stat points, Soul Bound weapon, Skills, etc, but retain any stat boosts obtained from leveling up) until they take another Placebo Pill (which can be done on their next turn).

'What on Earth is wrong with this man?' Elegy thought to herself as she saw him run out into the eternal abyss of death that awaited him. Honestly, it was good that he zoomed forward, cause now it didn't smell like shit in here. It still smelled like piss, though. She rolled her wheelchair forward as swiftly as she could, cause it would suck if the greastest anime legend of all time died like the piece of garbage he wasn't. Wheelchair noises. Were it not for the sound of Frank's intense running alerting every stinky Shadow within a 20 meter radius Emerald Splash, they could probably sneak through here quite easily. Luckily, they came prepared. The nearest Shadow was actually 21 metres away, leaving them perfectly safe to not be attacked by Shadows within a 20 meter radius Emerald Splash. It was then when she realised that if he ran forward, he would actually be less than 21 metres away from the nearest Shadow, so he was possibly being vored at this exact moment. That would suck if the great anime hero of all time got vored and died instantly. Frank was such a deep and developed person, that if we lost him, there would pretty much be no point in having Diamond City Daydream exist ever. Frank is just so epic gamer style like that. We love you Frank you are the ultimate not skinny legend. Slightly more concerned wheelchair noises. It was a good thing that any Shadow ever could be killed by epic Elly, because she is just so epic gamer style like that. So fucking epic gamer style, that if you look at her you will go blind and die instantly from all the epic gamer light. If you so much as breathe within the same room as her you will also die instantly. Even if you are two rooms away you will also die instantly. Very few people, only the most epic of epic gamer can be in the same room as her and not die instantly. You have to be the epic chosen one, or just super epic in general, which is pretty epic. So epic, that there are only two people that fit that description, not including all of the other people who also fit that description. Holy shit it's a motherfucking Shadow oh gosh oh fuck it's here what do we do guys we gotta kill it we gotta vore it instantly so it dies instantly okay here we go epic gamers.

In multiple senses of the word, Yin was dying inside. Compass Rose's soothing soprano offered some comfort, but it faded all too quickly and left her with the chortle chorale of nachos obnoxiously crunching, left her with the truth that she'd been abandoned to a choir of clowns. A sentient lard-smeared boulder, some crazy old bat who apparently thought it smart to volunteer to fight vicious monsters from a wheelchair... Really the only reasonable people here seemed to be her (not including Pix), that Rose lurking in their heads, and the quiet chick in the fortune-teller outfit. Yeah, Yin was definitely one of the adults of the group, harboring the perfectly sympathetic and sensible desire of practicing her drumming on the Shadows' skulls. Unlike these cretins, she knew a good opportunity when she saw one: the Under was basically just a giant concert hall if you looked at it from the right perspective. What better place to practice her craft than the city's bowels? If she could get an audience as difficult-to-please as the beasts here to appreciate her stylings then surely everybody up on the surface would love em' too! It was just facts and logic -- facts and logic that she'd be sure to own these Shadows with~♫!
Still, she needed to look on the bright side, something Pix would remind her of as she tapped the drums with an instinctive flourish of her sticks. It was unfair to judge these books by their covers (even if one of them was presently threatening to melt her nose off with his mere presence). That old woman had to have a lot of passion to be diving in her current condition, if she had to hazard a guess the fortune-teller was surely a kindred spirit looking to hone her craft (and if she wasn't than a cosplayer that skilled was even moreso an artist in her vein), and Frank... well, let's be honest, she couldn't really insult him without disparaging by proxy what was inevitably going to be a significant portion of her future fanbase. But hey, putting that catch-22 aside, the kid had spunk! ...no, not that kind, god! That wasn't an image she wanted in her head, she meant enthusiasm! And it was good to be enthusiastic, so she'd join him with a repetitive drum solo and a unified chant to drown out the noise of that awful idea! "I'm Yin Yin! Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo pleasure to meet you Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo!" She shouted with as much forced pathos as she could muster. Thankfully the chain of woos would be disrupted by the Shadows up ahead who saved her vocal cords from irreparable damage. What kind creatures! She'd need to thank them with a wonderful performance~!
"Alright everyone! Show me the medley of your souls!"

It was nice to know that there was some kind of support watching over them. The blonde shuffled through the deck of cards in her hands with practiced ease. An untrained eye probably wouldn't even notice how the top few cards of the deck never actually got shuffled into the deck. Not that it mattered, not with what these cards represented. But it didn't hurt to keep practiced with her sleight of hand.
Still, the approached the first enemy. She could feel her heart rate going up, as the deck in her hand briefly took on a blue shine. "Draw." She'd utter, as she pulled the top card from the pile. Chariot, upright. That would work. She would set the card on the bottom of the deck, watching her allies begin thei assault. How... Ineffective. Rose thankfully proved more helpful.
Britney drew another card. Tower, reversed. "Let's begin the reading, shall we?" The blonde spoke with a customer service smile as the card began to sparkle with arcs of electricity, before tossing it at the enemy, where it would explode into a bolt of lightning.

Well, this can't be good. Frank and gang had encounter shadows. "Zoinks" Frank looked a little shocked, but he still pressed onward. This is his time to shine he wasn't get let these girls get licked by a pack of balls. Frank can feel something in the air, could be no, but yes it was the placebo in him ready to unleash its awesome power.
The reason why Frank decided to take up Placebo and diving, was to prove to the world that he wasn't a lazy shit. You see there were some bad Yelp reviews about his shop which sells some....... Special manga. You know the type I mean, the ones you don't show to your significant other unless they're into that sort of stuff. Point is Frank was called lazy and he wouldn't have ant of that, so Frank was ready to do some serious damage to these balls.
"We got some tasty ass placebo on our backs guys lets bust some balls." Frank got his right hand to make a finger gun and just shot something out of his finger like it was an actual gun.
