Besides just going to class and attending soccer practice from time to time, Sada was enduing a wave of restlessness that he couldn't quite shake or even understand. It washed over him like a tidal wave, he felt like he was missing something or even longed for something. Even though he received his new lease on life due to the help of an associate of his mother, he still didn't hear anything from his actual parent even after the fact. How he was even found was still a mystery to him as well, the outer rim of Endymion was like a personal hell for each person who lived and managed to survive there. Maybe that's why he felt so out of place? Is it because the peace and stability was something unnerving to him since scratching and crawling to the surface since he was 16?
He didn't know, but the only thing that mattered to him was surviving. He needed to survive to gain what he truly desired.
And that was...
*Wham!!!*The sound of a bike being crashed into a pole was a bit deafening as a person held their knee in pain. Sada kind of stared at them for a moment before walking into another direction, but then he was stopped by the voice of the person he observed before.
"Hey! Gonna leave a guy in pain like that?"
With his cat-like eyes, Sada placed his hands in his pocket as he turned his head to look at the man.
" It's your leg huh? "--------------------------------------------------------
Maybe it was because of the particular injury that made Sada decide to help the man, but before you know it, Sada was already walking with him to a small mechanic shop that was near dragon maw inn.
"My name is Sam, I fix things. Most of the time, it's these motor scooters that people rent from the inn and drive around in, those crazy kids. Due to the fact that these things need some maintenance from time to time, you would always see me working on them."
"Oh.... right...."
They continued walking as Sada dropped him in front of the shop, being nice enough to even open the door and walking the shorter middle-aged man inside. The workshop seemed average, but his story seemed to check out.
"Ah....much to do..." The man quickly got to work as if he was in a trance, regardless of the fact that his leg was hurting. For some reason, a silent Sada stood around in order to watch him go.
.........
After about 15 minutes, Sam would them speak up while taking off his glasses, limping over to a filing cabinet for some pain killers.
"So kid, you like fixing things like this? If you can give me a hand here, I can make it worth your while.... my leg is ki-"
"I can do the job, all of these mopeds, I can work on them while you rest your leg. Looks like it's either hard for you to find help, or you're usually a hardass and never ask for it unless its an emergency. If it's the latter, there's not that many men like you left, trying to take care of your own shit as much as possible before depending on anyone else. But you're getting old...."It didn't take long for Sada to pick up on this man's skill, basically taking it for himself. Or better yet, he was going to hold on to it for a while and do a little bit of the work for Sam. But to Sam, with such confidence beaming from Sada, he would simply suck his teeth and shake his head.
"Alright Kid, but if it even looks like you don't know what you're doing, no pay. Are you ok with that?"Sada smiled as he took the protective mask from the guy's hand.
"It'll be as if you did all of these yourself, trust me. "
-------------------------------------------------------------
It was almost a work of art to see Sada work. The way that he approached each and every mechanical difficulty, the way he moved around the engine of the moped. It was as if he's done this before, the familiarity and the amount of speed that moved with his hands as if he already knew what the problem was. Even the mannerisms seemed a bit familiar, Sada was doing the same exact thing, but how?
strength
- Spoiler:
—Strength Name: Enhanced Athletic Prowess
—Description: Due to the android frame that Sada now possesses, his stamina and speed actually increased exceptionally, allowing him to cover more ground and get around. Combined with his past in playing soccer and the newly enhanced cybernetics, Sado does become a formidable individual, especially when using his savate style martial art.
—Strength Name: Photographic Reflexes
—Description:: Using an advanced system, Sada can observe the movements of another person and potentially duplicate the moves, as well as learn how to predict what they would do in certain situations. He can’t necessarily copy their powers and the duplications won't be as potent as their yearly honed strengths, but combined with his cybernetic athleticism, it proves to be a good base. The longer he's engaged with the individual(s) or observes them, the better the copy. These are adopted as temporary floating skills he can obtain. The categories that he can copy has to be primarily skill based and not combat based. If he doesn't dump the skill(s) on his own, he forgets them two in game days after the thread he learned it in.
—Strength Name: Increased understanding
—Description: Due to the advanced system that Sada has in him that studies and mimics people and items, it has a great effect on Sada's capabilities of understanding things quicker.
"Heh....."
It was a perfect copy, making it easy for Sada to mimic the mechanic's skill, or better yet, the way he handled this particular situation with the skills that he had at his disposal. The athleticism that he had allowed for an increase in stamina, which only meant in this case that Sada was taking fewer breaks and working on the moped's a lot more.
But after Sada finished the maintenance on the fifth one, Sam spoke up, splinting his leg and limping towards Sada with a cup of lemonade in his hands. Well, it was a can of a lemonade flavored fruit drink.
"It's none of that homemade crap, I don't got that kind of time and my hands aren't exactly delicate. "Sada actually smiled for a change as he took the drink and opened it.
"You should go to the hospital and close up for the day, I took care of most of your work, so a hospital visit isn't going to set you back. Living life as a cripple, believe me, you don't want that."Wow, he even showed concern. It said much about what Sada thought of the person that was in front of him. But even with the scowling that was made in response, Sam agreed with him.
"Alright, but first off, how should I pay you? I'm a little old fashioned, I like cash. That ok with you."
"Cash never goes out of style old man, just pay me what you think i'm worth."
It was a bit of a tit for tat, but Sada was glad that he was able to help him. He learned a new skill and did a service.
A win-win situation..right?
