I Wanted To See You Again, So... [Isabelle/Shouhei]

She smiled a bit as he got flustered again though he waved off the question and she raised an eyebrow at him for it, he then started talking about attending at the academy, a place she really didn't feel she needed to go to, not that she thought she was oh so smart, just knowing how certain people there felt about people that could do what she did? Well best not to be careless was all. the way he looked away and then he mentioned he didn't want to talk about his past....well that seemed a bit unfair since he was trying to dig into hers in a manner.

Then he went on to mention he likes pro boxing and she only smiled and shook her head a bit "Well to someone that doesn't know how to fight, someone that knows a little always looks better then they are, besides I have seen a lot of these guys pull off moves in the ring that I can't even figure out" lies of course but believable ones at least, and she walked over to one of the sets of free weights.

"So other then coming here and trying to say I must be a pro, and to talk to me mister stalker....do you have anything else you wanna talk about?" she asked as she teasingly called him a stalker once more as she started to use some of the smaller hand weights to start up her set.

Since Isabelle was so insistent on being a rank and file amateur at best, Shouhei decided to let the topic slide.  She was kind enough to not press about his past so he found it fair to not hound her anymore.  Besides, if she let him stick around long enough he knew he’d find the answer he wanted eventually.  Which she was, as she continuously wanted to tease him about being a stalker.  An actual stalker wouldn’t be asking these kinds of questions, right?  They’d already know everything about their prey.

“...Yeah, could ya give me the last three digits on the back of your credit card?”  With a playful laugh and grin Shouhei went over and started with two ten pound weights for himself.  “I mean, you got any other hobbies aside from this?  Another avenue I can stalk ya from?”

Isabelle her self had started on lighter weights, it was always better to work up after all, that way you could get a decent rate going, granted the quick spar she had would be a good warm up for normal people, but not for her, so she was doing a warm up set with a couple of fives. She did notice that Shouhei had grabbed twenties first thing, and she wondered if he was trying to show off? She hadn't seen him doing any warm up, but she simply let him do him, for the time being as she did her warm up reps.

"I got a few hobbies, mostly has to do with going out and having fun, then again what hobby isn't about having fun?" she said with a smile "Some times I try my hand at a few rounds, other times I just go enjoy myself with the money I make, or I just stay at home and watch movies" she answered not going into deep detail.

"What about you? here you are asking me a lot of questions but you haven't really talked about yourself at all...you got any hobbies hmmm?" she asked as she turned the tables on him, as she moved from the fives to the tens.

Shouhei briefly narrowed his eyes at Isabelle.  Unfortunately he got the most vague answer possible.  Then she turned the tables on him, but he wasn’t going to give her the same kind of retort; he wasn’t going to play her game.  Honesty to him was the best policy... usually.

“Me?  Didn’t I tell you I liked to sing and I’m going to the Academy because of it?  Dancing’s one of my hobbies too, but I haven’t been to a class in a while so I’m kinda rusty.  Same with playing guitar and piano, I haven’t touched those for a bit so my fingerwork is probably awful by now.  I like to tune up my motorcycle from time to time…”  

Shouhei mentally noted he was a relatively simple guy and didn’t have a terribly long list of hobbies.  He also couldn’t tell Isabelle that he liked to fight- not spar- that’d be a horrific thing to tell someone.  Speaking of which, he was noticing that the ten pound weights felt… heavier than usual.  Probably because he lacked the time to work those muscles in a while, like say for instance brawling most moments of his life.

“But you for real?  What kinda movies are you into?  How do you enjoy yourself with your cash?  I’m not hitting on you Isabelle, I’m just genuinely curious about you.”

Honestly Isabelle wasn't about to let the guy know how good she was, that was up there with asking someone how good they were at defending themselves from an attacker...you know just out of curiosity...the fact that it was being asked by a guy that had literally searched out her gym from the small bit of off hand information she mentioned the last time they talked? well it was a bit of a warning sign really, and that worry had been in the back of her mind the whole time so far, especially with all his prying and avoidance of anything that had to do with him for the most part.

Though as he answered the hobby question he deflected it with repeating his singing, dancing and music playing habits and the guy went to the academy, things he mentioned before, then he moved right back to trying to get more detail on her and again that worry was in the back of her head and she was about ready to call him on this BS.

Then she heard Astarte pop up in her head "Hun...really? your worried about HIM? if it came down to it we could probably beat the ever loving Hell out of this guy if it came to it....he doesn't know even HALF of what we are capable of, or how much we can stand if we have to hun...calm down he tries anything stupid...we end him...".

Isabelle couldn't help but laugh at herself internally, it was true....though she doubted Wicked..Hell if anyone from her night life...would appreciate her having to off someone that was trying to harm her....or maybe they wouldn't care? it was really hard to say with that group...but in the end if it came to it...she could just end the guy if he got violent...

"I Usually prefer rom-coms, comedies, action flicks, things like that...I am not one for the Psychological horror movies, they are boring...but Slasher flicks? OH those can be hilarious with how stupid they are sometimes" she said with a smile as she put the tens down and picked up the Fifteens next

“...No way, back in the day, me and some of my old buddies used to rent old slasher flicks and marathon ‘em.  The acting, the gore and production in those movies, that stuff was a riot,” Shouhei fondly remembered with a grin.  He just happened to omit that his old buddies were his biker gang, and that they used to drink copious amounts of alcohol on top of the marathons.  Still, there was a particular guilty pleasure in watching those kinds of films.  Meanwhile he nodded to himself in appreciation at Isabelle’s continuation of heavier weights, and realized that he should stick to the tens for now.

“My favorites are the kung fu flicks.  Anything with martial arts in ‘em really, I could watch those for days on end.  The choreography and physical skill, the stunt work… it’s all so damn impressive.”

"yeah martial arts movies can be fun, I like the ones that are comedy like" she said going with what he said as she continued her set with the fifteens, a smile on her face as she thought of larger movie viewings, though considering the people she hung out with, or the reason she would hang out with a person...maybe a group viewing was a bad Idea? ....maybe not....hard to say really, with the right people could go off without an issue, with the wrong ones issues was all it was going to cause.

going back to the conversation though she nodded "Yeah though from watching the boxing matches, real fights don't seem to go like that at all, but that's the great thing about movies they don't have to be realistic and can be stylish or comedic despite the things going on in them" she then placed the fifteens down and picked up the twenties as she continued to work her set.

“Yeah, exactly! You know that actor, Jackie Chen? I’ve always been a fan of his, and he seems to blend comedy and action flawlessly in his stuff. That guy’s a treasure, one in a million,” he said enthusiastically; there was some common ground between the two. Shouhei then noted Isabelle upping the ante on her weights. He looked at her, back to his ten pounders, back at her again, and once more to his ten pounders. He would definitely continue with the tens.

“I hate packed movie theaters though. Also they gotta have nice seating. You know any good ones in the city?”

Isabelle didn't even seem to be slowing down, or straining with the current weight she was moving, and as Shouhei spoke she nodded a bit "Yeah heard of the guy, seen a few of his movies as well, quite entertaining" she said to the point about Jackie as she put the twenties down now that she was done her set with those and then, as she was simply going through her set and not really thinking about it, she picked up the twentyfives and continued to go through her set.

"Personally I don't mind a crowded theater, so I don't really get picky about the places I go watch the movies, but there is one in the Backlight that I rather like, got good concession and the people working it are rather nice and friendly" she said as she then finished with that set and put the twentyfives down and picked up the thirties and continued.

It was nice to hear Isabelle liked Jackie Chen- after all who didn’t?  That man was a heavenly angel sent to this world.  However Shouhei could feel his jaw open slightly as he stared at Isabelle continuing onto a heavier set in her reps.  Just how strong was she?  Meanwhile he punily struggled with two ten pound weights.

“Thanks for the tip, I’ll look into that place- unless you wanna catch a flick together sometime?” He flashed a cheeky grin, hoping that his segue would let him hang out with her again.

Isabelle continued her set as she heard Shouhei ask about seeing a movie sometime, and she only smirked as she looked over to him after he asked her "Go See a movie together? with or without my knowledge of you being there?" she teased as she finished her set with the forties and set them down and picked up the fifties and continued going, her pace not slowing as she looked over to Shouhei "Or do you mean actually together?" she smirked a bit as she continued to workout.

"I am just teasing, I mean if you wanna go that's up to you, I really don't have anything against the Idea really" she said as she set the fifties down finally and started to do some wind down stretches.

“...Could you imagine that shit?  Me in the far corner peepin’ on you and the movie.  No thanks, I like offerin’ goofy commentary to my friends during movies,” with a shake of his head Shouhei laughed away the silly thought.  Once he noticed her stop lifting the absurdly heavy weights he found it a good idea to stop as well; his arms were starting to burn but he didn’t want to look like a complete weakling in front of her as he began to massage and stretch them out.

“I hear there’s a new Jackie Chen flick comin’ out soon.  We can go see that one, yeah?”

"Honestly? considering you searched around the area looking for the Gym I was talking about that I liked to frequent? Yeah I can kinda imagine you looking for the theater I am talking about and then hiding in the back of the only theater that is playing the movie your talking about, to see if I show up" she giggled a bit as she teased him a little more as she continued to do her stretched to cool down from the sets she had done.

Hearing him ask her to the movie she just smiled a bit "Well at least your asking this time rather then seeing if I go to the theater near my apartment and then going in to meet up accidentally" she Laughed a bit then looked at him once more "Sure I don't see why not"

“It’s settled,” Shouhei ignored Isabelle’s teasings and instead focused on her actually accepting his offer. He was giddy that the first person in Endymion to befriend him wanted to continue their relationship, despite his impulsive and stupid means of going about it.

“...I’ll give you my number so you can text me. That way I won’t be seen as the weirdo, and you can hang out with me whenever you’re comfortable.”

"Sounds good to me" she said with a smile as she finished her stretches and got his number before giving him her own number, the one she used for normal life, She had to wonder if this was a good idea, I mean there was already warning signs. Then again if he did try anything she had a trick up her sleeve if it came to having to defend herself so she wasn't to worried about all that.

"So then with that done what are you planning for the day?" she asked as she grabbed her water bottle and took a drink.
