| Alright. So… there he was. Vista Square. Not a district he was familiar with, but Fievel managed to find the location Gabriel advised him. A sugar factory or something. Now, he was starting to get anxious. Just a tiny bit, to be precise. He never ever had it in him to actually meet strangers in strange places, let it alone with romantic undertones. Yet, it felt something so unlikely, out of the ordinary Fievel opted to give it a chance to break free from his routine. Besides, he was an adult already. Adults do this kind of thing. The last time he experienced the thrill of intimacy, he was… still a dancer. He still had his leg. The memories were painful. Not merely the memories of a long lost teenagery romance, but also the accident, the Divide, the sorrow and frustration… Things he shouldn’t really remember at this moment, and when Fievel realized this, he immediately sighed, sinking in self-disappointment. “ Not the time”, he thought to himself before bending down to do up his boot’s lace. He wouldn’t want to stumble on something and put himself in awkward positions and situations. […] | |

| The sugar factory was not too far away from where Fievel was, there was already a few people inside and chatting it up a bit outside of the complex as well. Everyone seemed to be having a good time and if Fivel could peer into the store, it was quite popular with the younger folks. He could also see Gabe standing in front of the store, acting pretty casual about the whole thing. He didn't make it seem like he was waiting for anyone, but Gabe did occasionally check his watch from time to time. Finally, Gabe looked up and saw Fievel in the distance, walking over with a small smile on his face. "What an unexpected surprise, I wasn't planning on running into you here Fievel. But since you are, I wonder if you would like to join me for these VIP access passes to make your own candy? It might be the sweetest thing you could come by with such a random encounter." | |

| It wouldn’t be long till Fievel heard the familiar voice, promptly standing up again. “Unexpected surprise”, eh? So Gabriel was going along with the excuse they met by chance. Alright, Fievel could follow that, the ironic antics evoking in him the sensation of giggling at how fake their excuse truly was. “ Hello there”, he said with a smile. “ I hope I have not kept you waiting for long? My apologies in advance if I did.” | |

| "Oh, ah, of course not. I've just arrived here myself, so you have nothing to worry about. Either way, let's head on in, I'm sure you are excited to get started as much as I am. Follow me..."
As usual, Gabe led the way as he walked inside, going over to one of the employees and showing the two tickets.
"Ah, you must be one of the special guests that's here for the other service!"
With a nod, they were led into the other adjoining room that had a kiddish looking factory vibe to it. The setup was standard, but it was still unique to what they were offering in the first place. The number of things they could have made varied, peppermint candy, giant cotton candy, things like that. However, Gabe and Fievel was here for the chocolate, with most of what was supplied to them was a streamlined way of making chocolate candies the way that they wanted.
"Alright, we can either choose our set of chocolate or make our own. Which one do you think we should start with?"

| Well, Fievel was definitely excited but not for the chocolate adventure per se. The whole setting for a first date was rather unusual to him, though he opted to not say anything regarding this. Is that what couples normally do in Endymion? Besides, what could even be considered normal nowadays?
“Hum… Maybe we can make one? That’s what you wanted for, we can go with that”, he said, glancing around. The decoration was not what he expected from a factory, but maybe that’s simply his memories from old movies reminiscing. Besides, he could easily go along with whatever decision Gabe made, limiting his actions to just a guest going with the host’s flow. “So… Do you work at a casino, right? I’m sorry to ask, but you gave me your card and… I was a bit confused. Never really been to a casino before.”
Striking sudden conversations could always be awkward, even if Fievel’s natural recoiled demeanor hid any embarrassment under the collected behavioral excuse. The smile was still there but not as genuine as the guy felt he was probably being a nuisance trying to make small talk and form an acquaintanceship before anything.

| "Well, it's not exactly about what I want. I would like to see myself as a reasonable guy, so going with whatever works best is also good for this situation as well. However, i'm not too sure how to go about making something from scratch like this, so i'll be in your care. "
Butter, sugar, and vanilla were brought to them. With that, Gabe immediately got to work and made a batter mixture with the other ingredients.
"Maybe some oats as well? A little crunch won't hurt..."
However, Gabe was slightly distracted by the question that was asked of him.
"The lucky clover casino, that's the establishment that's been passed down to me by my foster father. There are branches all over the world so to speak, I manage this one. Since you never been to a casino before, perhaps I can take you there one day? It's not a bad place to be. "

| Not the best cook in the neighborhood, Fievel didn’t make a move to help Gabriel (out of pure insecurities of messing up anything due to lacking ability to do well in a kitchen). Rather, he was intrigued by a certain part of Gabe’s words. Precisely, the “in his care” part; Fievel blinked a few times, hardly keeping his face straight due to not being quite used to Gabriel’s antics and their true nature as to whether it was an innuendo or one of those moments he was easily mistaking the man’s words and intentions for something else.
“Huh? Sure? I’d love to”, he answered, smiling amidst his frown of surprise. They were already planning their second date? Or was it Gabriel just being friendly/confusing again? “You looked like a serious business man when I met you, now I know it’s true! That’s still… impressive. And you’re young too… I mean, how old are you?”

| As Gabe started to insert the oats, sugar, and cocoa together in a bowl, he brought out a wooden spoon and started to stir it with a bit of strength. The swirl that the combined ingredients made a little woosh sound as he gave a little elbow grease to prepare his chocolate treats.
"I'm so used to making pancakes that I end up churning like this whenever I make them. I guess cooking styles all share the same fundamentals but don't look to me as an expert. "
Gabe said this a bit jokingly as the age came about. He wanted to know how old Gabe was?
"I'll be honest with you, no one has ever asked me that before. I'm 22, it's not so bad right? Even though, sometimes people make it seem that I'm old, even when i do end up explaining my age to them."

| “Well then…compared to me you’re definitely an expert. I can’t really cook anything… But at least I know how to boil an egg!”, he smirked, the same humorous tone Gabe used to talk about his proficiency as a cook. Fievel admired those who knew how to cook at the same time he was glad his mother retired from her work and became a devoted, doting housewife to cook for the family.
“Huh? That’s not bad, not at all?”, Fievel inquired, a bit confused. Does he think he was old? Was it a middle 20’s crisis? Regardless, the fact Gabriel revealed said question was unusual made it slightly awkward on Fievel’s side, who was merely trying to keep up with an interesting conversation. After all, that was a date, right? They were supposed to get to know each other beyond names, no? “I apologize if asking was troublesome to you. I figured I could ask since you seem very mature, it’s natural people think you’re way older when in fact you’re my age… I’m 20, so we aren’t that far, if it helps.”

| "Hey, I'm a man that comes from simple beginnings. My proudest moment was knowing that I was capable enough to make cereal. " Gabe said this in a rather joking tone, he didn't care if Fievel wasn't that talented at cooking or not. Gabe also had a bit challenges ahead of him and could only make a few specific things. However, he tried his best, and the people he went out of his way for appreciating it. As Gabe continued to make the chocolate, he looked back to Fievel when he mentioned his age, along with a compliment about his maturity. As a matter of fact, it was a bit of a distrbatter and some of the abtter got on his glasses. "Oh dear..."Taking off his glasses, instead of wiping it off, Gabe licked the batter from his lens in order to do a bit of a taste test. "Hm, not bad... want to give it a taste?" | |

| “Oh?”, Fievel blinked as he stared Gabriel cleaning the lens of his pair of glasses in a rather… unconventional manner. If his mother was here, she’d freak out and give him a lecture over the lack of hygiene and how germs are everywhere, much to Fievel’s dismay. However, she wasn’t and though the young man found Gabriel’s spontaneous initiative rather unclean and weird at first, he soon opened a smile and cracked a little laugh. The clumsy antics were just what Fievel needed to find himself more at ease with Gabe's company. “I-I’m not gonna lick your glasses, thank you! … but you can put a little bit here. Just a little bit”, he said, offering his index finger. | |

| "Oh, well I do clean them. I even find myself cleaning them in the middle of conversations, not sure if it's a nervous tick or not. But if it's too unsanitary haha.... how about...." Since the index finger was offered, Gabe got himself a fresh spoon and took a little off the side of the tasty batter and wiped on Fievel's index finger. He tried to be accommodating, and besides, Gabe considered Fievel as the expert here since he would know what the chocolate would taste like.
"Tell me how it tastes, give me your honest opinion. "
