Despite her desires to chime in and give her own say on why the fight didn't need to continue, it seemed as though the demons mind was made up... The girl hesitated as the once frightened demon seemed to lash out in rage, taking a slight step back still feeling too sorry for it to actually react. Even once the creature was knocked down and everyone ran in to finish it off she'd stay back and simply look away, she didn't want to be apart of it. N-not this time at least. Even if the fight hadn't gone the way she'd hoped, at least the group had tried to do the right thing... That was a step in the right direction and made her feel more comfortable working with them, the thought that none of them would care at all for how the demons truly felt had worried her a lot and it would of probably been very difficult to change their mind had it come to that. Would she had even been able to if that were the case? Not that it was really an issue at the current moment so probably best not to think about too much.
"We gave the demon a chance, its the best we could do." Terra began to console the young vixen. "It made its choice and so did your team in accordance, they look pretty roughed up so they probably just thought they didn't have much of a choice." The shadow weapon continued as he would mentally check if Callie herself was alright after that last blow. Though she seemed okay, or at least it wasn't at all near the top of what she was thinking about, either way. "We should probably heal everyone, eh? Can't be letting ya'll be tripping before the final hurdle. Neheheh."
Picking herself back up, Cylla would nod and cast a healing skill for the whole party. "Heh, looks like you guys could use this." She'd begin with a weak smile. "It's a shame that went the way it did, but I know we'll get better at it and do it right next time!" The vixen continued determinedly. There'll always be a next time to be the hero, she had to keep that positive outlook strong.
The girl was about to start heading on forward now that everyone was healed a bit before she'd stop and sniff curiously at the air as some strange scent caught her attention. Turning around she'd cock her head to one side before pointing back the way they'd came and facing her allies. "Hey, uh. There's something weird that's just came closer back that way. Do you think we should go investigate it?" Granted she had no idea what on Earth it was, or if the others could sense it at all. Though if they agreed, she'd begin to head back the way they'd came.

Yare yare, that took a lot longer than it needed to. Humans and demons should never coincide. If only there was a way to permanently cut off the supernatural from the human world, everything would be much better. In fact, wasn't that the reason Endymion, no, the Divide itself happened? Yuri considered using some sort of ritual to make magic stuff stop being able to ever exist on Earth! Unfortunately, such a thing does not exist, at least to his knowledge. Maybe the .txt file with the instructions was kept in the USB drive in a safe guarded underneath Isla's castle. Hopefully someone drew a visual diagram in MS Paint or something. That would be very convenient. That elephant fur ball thing, it wouldn't have been here breathing fire everywhere. Fire's not very healthy for humans, you know? At least when they touch it. It is healthy when used to cook food. In that situation the fire actually increases health by killing the bacteria on meat. Though, if it's just killing and not removing the bacteria, doesn't that mean whenever someone eats meat they're eating a bunch of dead bacteria corpses? That's pretty gross, bro. Then again, you're already eating a corpse, so it doesn't make much of a difference. Yuri ate meat once. It tasted pretty good. In fact, it wasn't just one time. It was several times. Most people consume meat more than once within their life. Isn't that an interesting fact? Almost as interesting as da mabufu. If you freeze the air, people call it 'ice,' but 'ice' is frozen water. You're just freezing air. Doesn't that make it dry ice? Is dry ice still ice? Does it have to be frozen water to be considered ice, or does freezing air count too? It's a lot more convenient that it freezes the air rather than create normal ice, otherwise once it melted, there'd be water everywhere. Though that might be good too, because clean water is important. If it's made with magic, it probably doesn't have any germs or bacteria in it, and is quite literally the cleanest water on Earth. That must taste pretty good. Or it might be bad. The minerals in water give it its flavour. Without that, it might taste pretty bad. Like air. Which in reality it is. That's pretty deep if you think about it... Really says a lot about our society. “Of course,” Yuri responded to Cylla. However, they'd first need to deal with the demon in their way. Luckily, he came prepared with his Persona.

Sultana wasn't sure exactly what to think. The idea of actually trying to negotiate with the demons hadn't seemed possible until now. And it had seemed like it was actually willing to listen until Sultana had misspoken. Did that mean they all could save health and avoid fighting if they were did that each time? The solution seemed perfect, but Sultana couldn't forget what had happened with the other demons. They had refused, but was that because they were aggressive, or because they had attacked first? If somebody had shot her or somebody she cared about, she would never have attempted to negotiate. It was surprising that she managed to sympathize with these things to some extent. She really shouldn't, but she had managed to calm the first somewhat before insulting its friends. If anybody had insulted Nadia, Kendra probably would've acted the same. She would've been so angry, so unreasonable. Maybe they should've tried negotiation in the first place. Then again, the other demons may have just used that turn to attack them, which would not have been a good start to a battle. It was too hard for Sultana to understand whether or not they had done what would be considered the "right" thing in that situation, which was why she felt grateful the distraction Cylla was providing her by speaking.
"I didn't really need the heal, but thanks anyways I guess. I'm tougher than I seem, really!" It was a lie, but she wasn't about to let them think she was weak or a load. She was fine. "Let's just focus on whatever's around the corner. I'm sure we'll be ready for whatever we end up having to face next." She wondered if it would be an easy fight, or a tougher demon. It might be good for her to beat up something that was completely unreasonable. She just felt bad, to some extent, after having to kill the previous demon. Despite it seeming to have a grudge against Sultana for simply speaking the truth, it made sense it had targeted her. She had upset it, and when Kendra was upset she usually tried to attack whoever dared to put her in a bad mood or the next person to even poke at her temper. It just usually happened to be with words instead of arrows or ice. Maybe that was just how demons were raised? If they were raised. She still was curious to how demons appeared exactly. Still, there was no real time to focus on any of that. There was a battle brewing, and Sultana had to be prepared to be on top of that.

Zappa wasn't as torn up about the failure as it seemed Cylla was, she had done so simply to see if it was possible, it seemed demons would try to negotiate but the chance to do so seemed dependent on making sure they had no back up, or getting egged on by others...She wondered how that other member she met at the playhouse, the one that had mentioned trying to work with demons, how was she planning to manage it?
In the end it mattered little to her, she tried to talk with the demons but it ended in failure this time, it only meant she would have to try harder next time perhaps? The fact was that it could lead to valuable information, maybe cooperation would allow them insight into weaknesses of other demons that did not with to help them? or weaknesses in the defenses of the government? Revolts of Demons that the government was forcing to work for them? It was a lot to think about and the advantages could be quite helpful...but the dangers also posed a problem, everything had risk, however if gaining allies or strength needed to fight the government and other hostile demons then perhaps it was worth the risk?
Ether way it seemed everyone else was talking about something else by this point, all while the one named Yuri seemed to head on near heedless of what was going on around him...though his reply to Cylla was enough to at least show he was paying some attention, Though as Cylla mentioned something, Zappa's scanners picked something up as well "Odd....hostile signal seems to have appeared.....it's moving quite a bit....I am assuming we are going to pursue?" she said to the others as she followed them, checking her weapons and making sure her armor was in top condition as they moved, thankfully it seemed she took little to no damage from that last fight, on top of that her self repair systems seemed to be working even better so that was a plus.
As they moved forward and came to a corner she looked to the others "Enemies around the corner...are we going to attempt negotiation or are we attacking them?" she asked as she looked at her allies a moment, waiting to see what they would say as the moved on. Normally she would simply tell them the actions they would take, but for one thing Yuri seemed to not listen to the suggestions of others, a habit that would need to be talked about later.

Fortunately, it seemed as though no one else in the party was as upset as Cylla was that the negotiation had gone poorly, or at the very least none of them showed it. That was probably for the best, it was always best to try and keep in high spirits, a positive attitude towards anything you do can make a whole world of different to your performance. Though it definitely did seem that everyone did have something on their minds, so perhaps they were thinking over the topic a little more than they led on. Regardless, it felt a little strange to have the moment of silence as people were lost in thought as they traced back their steps.
"Hehe, I'm sure you're super tough. Though you shouldn't feel ashamed to accept a helping hand, even if you really don't need it." The girl giggled towards Sultana's response. "No matter the odds, having someone watching your back is always a pleasant feeling, at least, I think so~!" The young vixen had always found it weird when others seemed to prefer to work alone and not accept help of any kind. It just didn't make sense to her, sure you can be super powerful and possibly not need anyone else to help you out. But what if something unexpected happens? What if an enemy far stronger than you'd ever seen before appeared? What if you got lost? What if you wanted someone to talk to? What if you got lonely? What if you found a secret base that had a security measure thingy where like you had to have two people, one go to each of the terminal things and like put your hands down on them at the same time or you couldn't gain entry!? These were all clearly very serious issues to have to take into account, ones Callie simply could not ignore.
Either way, she couldn't think about that now. It seemed they had come all the way back to a cross road they'd found earlier, this time turning the one direction they had yet to explore and sure enough there were more demons ahead... "Uhm..." Cylla began as Zappa asked a question, one that took the girl a moment to think of an answer for. "I've always been of the mindset of trying to save the ones who want to be saved... Some... Some are..." The girls voice trailed off meekly, unable to finish her sentence the way she wanted to. She wished they didn't have to fight any of them at all... She wanted there to be a way to find peace... But with some... She simply didn't know how.

Honestly Zappa wasn't to torn on the choice here, considering the conversation they were hearing and how these demons where so casual to mention killing them, she simply watched the others attack for the moment before looking to Cylla "I believe these demons are rather casually talking about killing us...I am not sure if you would qualify that as them being hostile....however I consider that a reasonable issue to deal with....unless they prove otherwise I will be engaging in aggressive countermeasures" she said to the girl before looking back to the demons and her boosters roaring to life as she flew at them slashing at one with Zaku II following close behind her and slashing at the same demon.

Callie would stare at the two weird bird things for a moment before nodding toward Zappa, these ones didn't seem friendly... They could be a real danger to someone who couldn't look out for themselves. "We'll see how it goes... For now, w-we should probably defend ourselves." The girl replied, trying to put on a brave face as she spoke those words. She was still in a bit of pain from their last fight, and it seemed as though the others weren't at full strength yet either. Perhaps she'd stick back and just cure everyone's wounds some more for now and make sure these demons were truly evil before helping to fight.
"Whatever that thing is I can smell, its beyond these guys. Don't fall down on me before we can get there, okay?"

Take Every Advantage (Strength): Kendra can make two dexterity attacks in combat.
Chariot Arcana: Users have a latent 15% boost in physical-based skills and 15% defense boost against slash skills.
I Can Handle Myself (Weakness): Healing percentages from healing spells decrease by 15% when used on Kendra.
