Tamsin set the books down on the table with a sigh. She wasn't terrific when it came to book studying, but she was going to be starting at school here in the next semester, so she needed to get ahead on her studies. She wouldn't be content if what she'd learned at the Orphanage wasn't enough to bridge the gap.
If she was honest, she wasn't sure she even wanted to go to school here anymore. She couldn't become a Cadet now, after all, which is why she had originally wanted to come. But, she was already enrolled, and the education would likely be better than what she'd get from basic classes at the orphanage anyway.
With a heavy sigh, Tamsin shook her head and sat down to start reading.
