| Destiny Endeux
I think it's much nicer to just believe.
The Biography
|
Birth Name: Destiny Lorrin Endeux Aliases: Des, Desi Gender: Female Age: 16 Birth Day: December 9 Arcana: Moon Place of Residence: Shibakuzoi; lives with her parents and 19 year old sister School Year: Second-year Class: 2-A
After School Club: N/A
Part Time Job: Works as a waitress/hostess in her father's restaurant
Appearance: Destiny is 5’6” and weighs about 127 lbs. (57.6 kg). She has long blonde hair that reaches the middle of her back with long shaggy bangs. She’s very fair skinned and, as a result, she burns easily. Her eyes are blue-green, but change hues with her mood (the more anxious she is the darker they appear, and vice-versa).
She has a slim figure, somewhat curvy, and rather thin legs. A bit of a walking contradiction, she likes wearing heels to make herself taller, but she wants to be perceived as “cute”, so she wears large jackets/vests to make herself seem smaller. No matter the weather, she’ll wear skirts and dresses; in the colder months, she’ll add in floor-length coats to keep herself warm. She always wears a black braided choker that once belonged to her oldest sister. She’s often seen carrying a black purse that holds her wallet, cell phone, and keys to her house and her father’s business.
Personality: At first glance, Destiny is extremely shy. It’s not unusual for her to walk into a room and go completely unnoticed. Despite this, however, she treats others with a high amount of respect and politeness. She finds beginning conversations to be rather scary and feels awkward jumping into a conversation with people she’s not very familiar with. Therefore, she’s rather quiet and usually speaks only when spoken to.
She has a strong belief in ghosts, some superstitions, fairytales, myths, legends, and values such as friendship, love, and courage. Should anyone oppose those values, however, she will say that they have a right to their own opinions, just as she does to hers. She also holds her relationships close, willing to do anything for anyone she cares about, whether it be bringing homework to a sick classmate on the other side of town or listening to someone at work cry about a bad break-up.
Despite the childish thoughts and values that she holds dear, she’s a realist at heart. Always expecting the worst, she’ll drive herself practically insane worrying about the littlest things (such as “did I greet *so and so* with enough enthusiasm” , “if I step there, will I trip on the crack in the cement”, etc.). When faced with doing something she’s never done or is scared to do, she’ll begin voicing her negative thoughts, either causing the people around her to become nervous or angry/exasperated.

The Potential
|
Strengths:
—Strength Name: Throwing —Description: Destiny can throw objects very fast and, when paying attention, has very good accuracy. She discovered this talent when she was ten; her father had insisted she enjoy the beautiful weather and play catch with him. After one misguided throw, Destiny managed to cause a large dent in the tin door of their garage.
—Strength Name: Speed reading —Description: She can read up to 800 words per minute, as opposed to the average of 250-300 words per minute. If she’s reading something she enjoys, however, she slows down to about 600 words per minute.
—Strength Name: Empathy —Description: Destiny is very good at understanding someone’s emotional plights. This makes her someone who can listen well and practically melts at the sight of tears.
—Strength Name: Academically inclined —Description: Perhaps it is because of her skills at reading people, but Destiny has a knack for understanding what her teachers say and, most importantly, what will be present on tests. Out of all of her subjects, Literature and other subjects which include arithmetic are her strong points
Weaknesses:
—Weakness Name: Poor self-image —Description: Destiny was bullied as a child mostly due to her quiet nature and, later, because of her loner approach to school. While walking home, Destiny would see her sisters talking with their friends, and soon she wondered how they could deal with leaving behind people they cared about. She saw this as a sign of strength on their part, and her awe for her sisters slowly turned into seeing herself in a negative light. This leads to her becoming rather flustered at compliments and second-guessing her actions.
—Weakness Name: Overly cautious —Description: Constantly worrying about the “what-ifs” and “buts” in her life and others, Destiny could best be described as the Jiminy Cricket/Conscience of her friends and family. However, this tends to make others nervous, as she’ll often begin pointing out probable injuries, deaths, and severe consequences when she’s faced with something she’s never done before.
—Weakness Name: Arachnophobia —Description: Arachnophobia is a strong fear of spiders. If she sees one, she’ll freeze and refuse to go within ten feet of the spider. If it’s quarter sized or smaller, she’ll calmly ask someone to kill it for her; any larger, and she’ll scream and run away from the room, then promptly find someone to hold onto. Dolls, drawings, decorations, and pictures of spiders produce the same effect as if a large one was in the room.
—Weakness Name: Emotional lock-up —Description: Constantly pretending that she is unaffected by the secrets of her family, Destiny rarely admits to anyone or herself that she’s anything other than “okay”. Whenever she feels as if she’s about to cry, she’ll chide herself and say she’s being childish. When the emotional stress gets too high, she’ll either focus on a project or game for hours, or she’ll find somewhere where she can be alone.
Soul Bound Weapon:
Weapon Name: Strike Out Weapon Description: A blue cricket ball with white stitches. About 3 inches in diameter. Destiny's name is written on it in silver permanent ink. Weapon Attack Type: Strike Weapon Element:

The Background
|
History: Destiny’s parents met in Japan. Her father had been traveling at the time, learning various culinary tricks and learning about the culture, while her mother had been negotiating an overseas business merger for the car company she worked for. They happened to meet at a restaurant and, after realizing they both shared a love for travel, began a friendship. About a year after their initial meeting, the two decided to get married. They never settled in one place for long; Destiny’s father was constantly pursuing his dream of creating a restaurant that served various dishes from every culture he’d ever come into contact with, and when one business venture would fail, he’d move to try again. A year later they had a daughter, Lissa “Bunny” Endeux. Six years later, they had Kari Endeux, and three years after that Destiny was born in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk in England. Destiny’s father kept in close contact with the people he had met in his travels. Seeing as how he had stayed in Japan the longest, he spoke most often to them, mostly over speakerphone and, when the technology came around, webcam. As a result, all of the Endeux kids became fluent in English and Japanese, and could speak basic phrases in several other languages (German, Russian, French, Korean, just to name a few). When Destiny was 12 (Kari=15, Bunny=21) their father decided to move to Shibakuzoi permanently. Having spent the most time there, he figured that his best chances of successfully starting his restaurant would be there. So the family moved and, with some luck, Destiny’s father managed to buy enough space and furnishings to open a restaurant in the Hakken Super Mall. Bunny decided to go back to the U.S. to be with her boyfriend. She married him and, at age 25, now has a daughter about to be 3 years old. Her visits are few and far between due to work. Kari, annoyed with her parents for the constant uprooting throughout her life, took to acting out at school. Constantly a source of trouble, she’s been held back numerous times by her teachers. Hence why, at age 19, she is only one year ahead of Destiny. Destiny herself was always a shy person. After her twelfth move at eight years old, she stopped seeking new friends, convinced that when she moved she would never hear from them again. As a result she became withdrawn and rarely spoke to anyone outside of her family or her father’s business associates/friends. Despite being in Shibakuzoi for four years now, she constantly worries about her parents suddenly hungering for a change of pace and moving once more. She also deals with the pressures of her family. Since she’s so quiet, the members of the family take to venting to her. Therefore, she knows of how her dad’s business isn’t exactly doing as well as it seems to be, how her mother is starting to grow annoyed at her husband’s near-obsessive take on work, and how Kari hates certain aspects of her life and is thinking of running away to live with friends. Of course, each family member has asked her to keep quiet about their thoughts, so she deals constantly with putting up an act for various members of her family.
