| The First Chapter of our story is finally revealed...
The Origins behind the power of Persona and the Shadows are brought to light...
Those pulling the strings will be confronted, as poor unfortunate souls are met with a terrible fate... Brief Story Synopsis The power of a rumour is quite something, is it not? No matter where you turn, no matter where you look, you will always hear of a popular rumour. Most rumours can be pushed aside and ignored. If you heard one you heard them all, yes? Well, that may have been the case until recently. An interesting rumour has begun to circulate throughout Ueitawa. One that deserves the warrant of attention, just because how abnormal it must be. With the strange events of Limbo, the Shadows, and the disappearances now over; every day life had returned to the people of Ueitawa. People returned to their normal, boring lives and searched for that excitement that they once held during the disappearance cases. It was only a matter of time before a rumour had the entire region excited. Especially this particular one: "Every Monday at 12 AM, there's this weird website that shows strange web shows. It's called Deepnight-Deadline.com and the site only works around twelve AM. When you go to watch it give it a few seconds, and the screen will show something cool. It's like a hidden web show that streams live. Even if you don't have an internet connection, it still pops up onto your screen with some cat hosting some weird show. It's totally awesome!" With nothing better to do, many people of Ueitawa took the opportunity to experience something new in their lives. Most did not believe the dumb rumour, but soon enough when they gave it a shot, there it was. A strange show being hosted by some weird creature. It was not explainable, but people continued to tune in regardless. This strange show was being streamed live from somewhere, and its main attraction was... well... "Hai you GAIS! It looks like out hits are totally up and out of the roof, Neko Neko! You guys must really want to see these Web-i-sodes huuuuh? For those just tuning in, it is my duty to show you true torment! This unreleased footage I am to show you has taken place several years ago in a galaxy far far away! Teehee! What happens when you take a group of dead people, throw them into a wacky situation, and say "play my game and your life will be relinquished. Fail and you'll burn in the flames of abhorrence till the End of Days"? Crazy hijinks and torment, I tell ya, Neko Neko! I bet you're thinking "Neko Neko what game is this?" Well, I'll tell ya! The game these poor deceased souls will be playing is called the "God's Roulette." They are nothing but chess pieces between two Gods who enjoy playing with the fate of you humans! Teehee! Each Saturday night I will release a web-i-sode of our crazy adventures! Be sure to tune in, Neko Neko!...And for those of you who hold the power, be sure to pay close attention. You'll be next~ Oh gosh, I said that outloud! I'm so embarrassed~!"These unfortunate souls that were chosen by the two Gods, one of Chaos the other of Ego, were thrown into a game they had no choice but to participate in: The God's Roulette. Given the power of Persona to make the game even more interesting, these first Persona-Users would be nothing but toys in the grander scheme of things. Was it not cruel of Philemon and Nyarlathotep to use them to settle their own disputes? Perhaps, but they had no say in the matter. They were nothing but deceased souls trying to fight their way back to owning their own lives. The only way they would complete this goal was playing the "God's Roulette" and hoping to survive till the end. The people of Ueitawa truly believed this was just a game show filmed several years ago being played for their viewing pleasure now. They did not believe any of it was real, but of course those with the power of Persona could easily tell this was not just another game show. These tormented souls they were watching was the Persona-Users before them, and now they were going to learn just what happened to the first of those who held their same power. | |

| The ÜberWorld The main location of this plot will be a supernatural place by the name of The "ÜberWorld" that acts as a sort of purgatory. This world is not unlike Limbo, as reality and logic becomes warped for those trapped and forced to play the "God's Roulette" Game. This World takes the shape of a city that could be found in the Real World, however each section of the city has different properties, rules, and formulas the players must abide by or risk being deleted from the game permanently. At the start of every Web-I-Sode, the players will be placed in the center most area of the city noted as the "Über Scramble". This is a safe zone from violence and attacks by other players, but there is always a chance that the Mediator of the Game chooses to throw something at those hiding there for safety. This is the main area where players are given their objectives and incentives for the day. When travelling around Über do not be surprised if one area of the city lacks gravity, or if another forces the world to be upside down. As stated before, logic and reality is easily bent here in the world of Über, and it is up to the players to adapt and survive the God's Roulette regardless of circumstance. "God's Roulette" God's Roulette is the name of the web show hosted on the mysterious website on Saturday nights. To onlookers watching from home it seems to be just a regular game show, but for the contestants it's their lives on the balance. The contestants on the show have been hand picked by either the God of Ego, Philemon, or Chaos, Nyarlathotep, to compete for humanity's fate. The show is hosted by a mediator for both Gods named Neko-Neko, and she is the primary source of both hope and torment for the players in the game. The Origin of the game all started thanks to an experiment between the God of Ego, Philemon and the God of Chaos, Nyarlathotep. Philemon believes humans can become enlightened beings and Nyarlathotep believes humans will destroy themselves inevitably. To settle this ongoing bet with Philemon, Nyarlathotep arranged for the God's Roulette to be created, forcing Philemon to counter the efforts of his negative side by enlisting the help of humans he deemed worthy. Being a natural observer who can not interfere directly, this was the only choice Philemon had to balance the scales of fate that Nyarlathotep began to tip. In response to this, the Crawling Chaos also enlisted the aid of unsuspecting humans to his side. Those chosen never had a choice in the matter, and were thrust into a game of Life and Death that they had never asked for. Those taken into this world of purgatory are erased from their actual lives. People who they once knew have every memory of them erased from their mind. No one knows they are missing, or that they had even existed in the first place. In short, they aren't missed and no one is looking for them. It is solely up to them to survive the God's Roulette and return to their past lives. If they fail, they will be permanently deleted from existence, and everything about them will cease to exist. When players are thrust into the game, they are given an "Admittance Ticket" that they must keep on themselves at all times. This ticket is their main source of power, and without it they lose their ego and their entire existence aswell. The Mediator will constantly throw curve ball objectives at the contestants of the game that they must complete or lose their existence completely. Spread throughout the ÜberWorld are creatures known as Shadows and other creatures by the name of Silent that look to hinder the players and cause them to fail. Those who survive the God's Roulette are granted their freedom back into the real world with everything restored to the way it was before. Or, they can choose to take a higher path and become the mediators of their own future God's Roulette, allowing them to set challenges for the poor unlucky souls of their choosing. (Allows the winners to Dungeon Master and control the next main plot.) OoC Information As stated before, this is the First Chapter of Persona :: New Arcana's story. As such, it takes place several years before the Limbo plot. The contestants forced to participate in this God's Roulette game are the first Persona-Users in our universe here. It all started with them. This event takes place after the Limbo plot, but before the second main plot, basically acting as the bridge between them where the current Persona-Users can learn about those before them. The winner of this game will be allowed to Dungeon Master and run the site's next main plot. Members of staff will support you with all the tools, and locations you need to run it. However, make it an original plot. Do not make a "Shadow Apocalypse" or something that isn't custom for our main plot. It makes the site look tacky seeing a rehash of something else without any creativity put in it. Those who wish to participate in this mini plot will need to make a character specifically for the God's Roulette game. Seeing as your actual main character is only watching this online from their home, you need a character that's actually in the game. If this character survives the God's Roulette you can choose to release them from the game and make them one of your main characters, or turn them into a big bad plot running bad guy. It's up to you. Things are liable to change in the Brief Story synopsis since this mini-plot is taking place AFTER the Limbo main plot. So nothing is written in stone as of yet. Areas of the World The Scramble Crossing - The entry area of the God's Roulette game. This area is the must neutral zone and one of the safest in the whole Uberworld. It resembles the Shibuya crossing and appears to be a busy intersection, but because it is just a replication, it is empty of all other humans except the players. Though strangely enough, it still has the sound of a busy city, even with no one there to cause such noise. This is ground zero for the players to get their daily information about their current objectives or incentives to survive. Paradise Circus - Fun, colorful, and loud... Though this World is full of dread, there is strangle an Amusement Park with an atmosphere of fun. The area is full of colors, music, and rides. It even has different Amusement Park poster themes such as a Haunted House and a Tunnel of Love. There's even a large fairy tale-like castle in the center of the park that stretches up towards the sky. The one thing that makes this area truly wacky is the fact anyone that enters it lacks any sort of gravity. It may just be a function of the strange area, but I'd get used to floating around with little control if I were you, Ho ho ho! -This area is currently locked from access. Super Stupor Duper Kizu Academy - Who knew a school would be put in this weird place? This academy is another section of the Uberworld, and another location the players will have to traverse to survive the God's Roulette. The school resembles an actual school by the name of Kizuna Academy. The weird thing is this school was already here in this world before Kizuna Academy was ever created, considering the God's Roulette took place several years before the Academy's creation. There are notable differences to this school and Kizuna, the main being death traps installed throughout the school grounds. The rule of this location is simple. - Get three questions wrong and you will suffer a horrible death. This area starts off locked from access. Food Avenue - The one and only area of the Uberworld that holds food for the contestants. All other food located through Uberworld is poisoned and will kill the person who eats it. This Food Avenue is really just a massive inn that's located in the next area by the scramble crossing. The food seems to replenish after each day, showing the people that they won't starve to death, atleast. However, this location starts off locked from access. There is only one rule, and it is once you start to eat something, you must finish it completely. No exceptions. The Ultimate=O ARCADEO Section! - Think of the biggest Arcade you've ever seen. Okay, now this place beats that by a mile! As big as a mall, this one story building has every type of video game ever conceived by the likes of mankind! From basic beat em ups to virtual simulations, this is ground zero for a techie who wants to surf the web or just get their hands on something to do! This area is locked from access from the start. The rule of this area is simple. Once entering you will be given three coins. Each game takes a coin to play, and to advance throughout the area you must use these coins to defeat the "Game Masters" that would block your way. However, once you lose all three of your coins, you will be deleted from the God's Roulette. Better not lose! Dysfunctional City V.02 ?! - This area should look familiar to all you Persona-Users out there! Yes, the Dysfunctional City of Limbo returns in full splendor! All that hard work of saving Ueitawa from the looming threat, and here it is again? But wait, Limbo was created well after these seven years prior to the present, so how is it here on this game show? Whatever the case, it's bigger and badder and way more aggressive than before. The rule in this area, you asked? Personas MAY not be summoned! Heheh... This area starts locked from access.

| The Silent are otherworldly beings that reside within the Uberworld and act as the rule enforcers and situation creators. There's a rumor stating that the silent were once members of the God's Roulette game before the current bunch, but that could not possibly be true because this is the first generation of guinea pigs put in the game. Whatever the case, when a Silent shows up to the scene, it's safe to say it is all bad news. Being like the Administrators of the game, they have free reign to change the rules of districts they reside in, causing trouble for the players when they come across them. Each silent has their own area they reside over, and they are extremely competitive with one another. They want nothing more but to cause the players torment simply because it makes them look more superior in the eyes of their fellow Silent. Unlike the Shadows that move more on instinct, the Silent are smart, can reason, and even communicate with the players. For the most part they will need to be outsmarted as brute strength will be useless against them; though you're very welcome to try and take them head on. If you're lucky, even you may become a Silent if certain conditions are met, but of course this means you'd be betraying the other players and opposing them from then on. Contrary to popular belief, the Silent and the Shadows are not allies. However the Silent have abilities that allow them to control the Shadows and use them against the players whenever wanted.
The Rules
- Players are to abide by all rules. If they break a rule, they will be executed in the most painful way ever conceived. This is the only warning
- If an area is blocked or locked, the Players may not break into that area. They must unlock the door the proper way stated. If someone breaks down the door, or does anything in that frame, they will be punished severely. Refer to rule one.
- Each player is given an admission ticket on entry into the game. The ticket is the source of their power, and if they lose it they will not be able to use their Persona. If the ticket is destroyed, then they too will be deleted from the game soon after... normally.
- Players must follow the rules of the specific area they are in. However, rules that obviously unfair, such as forcing them to commit suicide is not allowed. This rule goes for all who are involved in the game, even the Silent. This does not mean the players can not CHOOSE to perform a suicide.. Fufuf..
