| Washing machines and dish washers a fire hazard? And here Gozai thought his landlord was a pain in the ass. The idea made him chuckle internally. For now, he only nodded. The question that followed however was something that caught the albino off-guard.
"That's... How should I put it?" He'd begin after a brief moment of silence, only to pause again, his pen beginning to write again. "I guess to grossly oversimplify, I just want to understand people, wrap my head around what makes them tick." He'd continue, before pausing again, his pen too halting. He'd glance over to the open book to one side, before resuming writing. "The way I see it, humans are ultimately illogical creatures. It's almost strange, every time I feel like I've made a step closer to understanding how the human mind functions, some other facet I'd previously not noticed or just soundly ignored just dumps another handful of puzzle pieces into my lap to try and fit in."
He'd stop writing again, again going for the highlighter to start adding emphasis to the words he'd written down."I will admit, it can become extremely frustrating at times, but at the end of the day even that really doesn't detract from just how fascinating it is." He'd set down his highlighter. "And still we don't quite know how it all works, at best we have theories put forth. Take Jung, who proposed the idea of the Collective Unconscious, and..." Gozai again started, before pausing, this time for a little longer.
"You know, maybe I'll save that topic for another time, otherwise I'll be keeping us both here all day." He'd then say, capping the words with a small chuckle. He bean packing away his things into his bag, slinging the bag onto his shoulder, before standing up and picking up the book he had lying open on the table. The young man then turned toward the bookshelf, and as he began walking towards it again, he spoke again. "I must say Tomomi, this little chat certainly made time fly, and certainly made what I came here to do much less tedious." As he finished those words, he would slot the book back into the empty space it had left in the shelf.
He then turned to leave, tossing a glimpse to the other side of the bookcase as he passed it, getting a chance to see the other, and in turn giving the other that same chance. "It was fun. Maybe we can talk again." He'd speak, internally hoping all this will prove worth his effort at some point. He would pause for a moment at the door, pulling and holding it open. "Ciao." And with that, he slipped through, leaving the door to close. | |

| Hearing Gozai's explanation, Tomomi stood and listened intently, ignoring his book for the time as he did so. It was certainly a unique reason to be interested in the topic. He was expecting partially just a brief 'because I find it fun' but the in depth response was both overwhelming and interesting. While the large amount of words and some topic specific jargon confused Tomomi, he gathered most of what was being said, nodding to himself as he took the information in. Just like the conversation, it seemed that the topic itself was complex.
As Gozai talked about how the conversation had reached a good point to end, Tomomi nodded in agreement. "Yeah. I agree. If you see me around - uh, you know, small Japanese boy, feel free to say hi. Good luck with the rest of your studies until then!" the boy beamed at the bookshelf which Gozai was on the other side of. Then, Tomomi went back to reading the book.
