| Eryka Eckert
The Biography
|
Birth Name: Eryka Eckert Aliases: Panzer-grenadier Gender: Female Age: 20 Birthday: 13/02. Arcana: Chariot Place of Residence: Class Zero annex. Academy Semester: First Semester. Class: Nyarlathotep child.
Sorority: N/A
Part/Full Time Job: Cadet
Appearence - appearance:
Eryka is, for the most part unremarkable as a human. She’s muscular, well built and a good 182 centimeters tall, sporting tanned skin but that’s pretty much where the normalities end. With short grey hair and Shadow gold eyes, not that she’s a Shadow, she definitely does not blend in despite her efforts other wise. The reason for her not blending in is due to her left arm. It's a prosthetic.
Clothing wise Eryka's wardrobe could be summed up as...modern. Outside of her Cadet uniform, which she wears whenever she's on duty, Eryka wears black. Black, black and more black with only a little bit of white. Black jeans, black boots and a black jacket are the primary elements of her wardrobe. Outside of this she wears white tank tops and T-shirts.
Personality:
- personality:
Eryka is a...thorny person to put it simply. On the outside she’s tough, emotionally restrained and polite but by no means “warm” or friendly at that. It’s not that Eryka dislikes people but she doesn’t like them either. Following the Divide and how it ruined what was supposed to be a perfect holiday Eryka ended up growing very detached from the affairs of the people suffering around her and as society stabilized that detachment stuck.
Eryka doesn’t respect the normal citizens. She feels as if they are cowards, hiding behind the efforts of the Cadets and enjoying their happy “normal” lives while people like Eryka make all the sacrifices. One may wonder why she’s even a Cadet if she oh so very hates the notion of protecting people. She became a Cadet to fight against the demons, secure her own survival and win the war she believe exists. The fact there’s people who are too cowardly to do the same angers her to no end.
Loyalty is a big part of Eryka’s personality and core beliefs. She is utterly loyal, even to a fault, sometimes. However… her loyalty is not to the Queen. While Eryka is grateful to the Queen and desires to thank her royal highness by protecting the peace she has created, Eryka’s loyalty is ultimately to the current state of peace and the government institutions which ensure it. If, by some quirk of fate, the Queen herself became the biggest threat to the continued stability of Endmyion then...well. Eryka would simply respond accordingly.
Generally Eryka can be very hard to approach or hold a conversation on account of the fact she sees no real point in it. She doesn’t see the point in talking to people for entertainment, companionship or to solve her problems. If she wants entertainment she reads or trains. If she wants companionship she goes to work. If she wants to solve her problems? She wouldn’t bother talking to people about them. She’d just go out and resolve them through her own efforts. Companionship and human bonds are not something she cares for.

The Potential
|
Strengths:
—Strength Name: Heart of a lion. —Description: Having lost her parents in the Divide and spent more than a few months living alone on the streets, Eryka is immensely hard to shake. As such her courage level starts one higher than it normally would be.
—Strength Name: Street fighting. —Description: Even though she spent a fair amount of of her life living without Eryka does still know how to kick box thanks to her own efforts at the orphanage. Since then she has only improved and learned to fight dirty to compensate for missing an arm. This knowledge still has a great deal of use even with her replacement arm.
—Strength Name: Soulhand —Description: Eryka’s prosthetic arm is also her soulbound and functions accordingly. It has taken her a LOT of practice to learn how to limit the amount of physical strength she puts into it. A good thing too or else she might end up breaking people’s limbs by mistake; sadly it is still a soul bond and does not play nicely with people.
—Strength Name: Mechanized mobilization. —Description: As a result of her own interests in machinery (they're easier to understand than people) and the fact her mechanical prosthesis requires a fair amount of maintenance, Eryka's naturally developed entry level mechanic skills. She can enact minor repairs of engines, bikes and even some computers. However, her real expertise lies in the repair and maintenance of her own prosthesis.
—————
—Weakness Name: Electrical motor. —Description: While Eryka’s prosthetic arm is pretty advanced it is still powered by a small scale electrical motor which in turn requires batteries and a fair amount of maintenance. It is also vulnerable to electronic magnetic pulses. The batteries running dry, an electrical fault or even the aforementioned EMP could easily shut her arm down.
—Weakness Name: The direct approach. —Description: Eryka doesn’t see the point in stealth, thievery or breaking in well..that’s not entirely true. She admits they have a use but she simply finds them an inferior way of getting the job done. As a result of her always preferring the direct approach she has to go through the first level of understanding twice. This connection is down to her being opposed to learn more subtle tricks, such as thievery, rather than her poor understanding in general.
—Weakness Name: Loss of touch. —Description: As her left arm is a prosthesis she has no sense of touch in that arm.
—Weakness Name: Modern age-modern weapons. —Description: Given the strong association Eryka’s persona has with more conventional weaponry, any and all magic damage (that’s magic skills such as Agi, Zio, Bufu and Garu) is decreased by 15%.
-----
Soul Bound Weapon:
Weapon Name:Airgetlám Weapon Description: Airgetlám has no set physical appearance for it, technically, does not exist physically. Instead, it merely opts to manifest inside of Eryka’s prosthetic limb in a manner of moments. It does not change what her arm looks like but, in accordance with soulbound weaponry, it does improve its performance considerably. Weapon Image: - picture:
Weapon Attack Type: Strike Weapon Element: N/A
Side-Arm Weapon:
Side-Arm Name: Heavy Bolter Side-Arm Description: It’s a really big gun that shoots really painful bullets out at really fast speeds. It’s big, it’s heavy and she could easily knock someone’s teeth out with it if she wanted not that she can cause rules. Side-Arm Image: - image:
Side-Arm Attack Type: Gun Side-Arm Style: Machine Gun

The Background
|
History:
- history:
Prior to the Divide Eryka’s history is unremarkable. He father was an electrical engineer and her mother was a tank crewman inside the German military. As a child Eryka was often left to her own devices as, sadly, her parents were forced to work immensely demanding hours in order to provide. As such, independence was something she learned at a rather young age.
Now let’s skip forward to the Divide where everything goes incredibly wrong incredibly quickly because I am a cruel heartless deity and ruining lives is how I get my kicks. Anyway. Eryka and her parents were visiting Endmyion. That was when the Divide happened, demons showed up and in the words of Rogal Dorn it was “Bad. Very Bad.” Obviously demons are dangerous things and amid all the chaos Eryka found her parents just gone.
It was a good thing she never knew what happened to her parents for demons are not gentle beings. Sadly, that didn’t change the fact a fifteen year old teenager was still alone and without parents in a very dangerous world. How she managed to survive is a secret Eryka has never fully divulged as when pressed for answers, she just gives out general answers such as “I stole food” but the truth? She spent a good two years fighting for her life on the streets of Endmyion.
After these years living on the streets of Endymion she was forced to seek out medical help as following an incident she ended up seriously injuring her arm. The severity of this injury forced her, not that she liked it, to seek out medical help or risk dying. This is when the “official” record takes over as after being treated at hospital Eryka was sent to an orphanage; it was a good thing too because the streets are hard to live on especially for a cripple.
Years past and Eryka slowly, but surely, grew up eventually having to leave the orphanage on account of being a legal adult which left her with one question: what am I going to do with my life? She had no skills outside of how to fight (something she learned while at the orphanage to deal with her anger issues at being short an arm) and didn’t know what to do. All she really wanted to do was...well honestly that’s the thing. She didn’t know so she simply joined the Cadet program.
That was a year ago and since then? Eryka’s decided what she wants to do is ensure the life she lives continues hence why she’s opted to go through, fully, with the Cadet program as despite her irritation with “ordinary people” she doesn’t want the world to go back to how it was during the Divide. Trying to survive, alone, in a post-Divide world on the streets is something Eryka would not wish on anybody which is why she views the “conflict” against the demons, and related parties, a war.

| You probably want the last sentence of Electric Motor within Soulhand instead. It's a nitpick but it's a Weakness, it isn't supposed to benefit you.
For Stable Aim you cannot double your Dex stat. You can make 2 Gun attacks with your sidearm but you can't double your Dex value with a Strength. Doing both in one Strength is right out. If you mean you can attack twice with your Sidearm put that instead. | |
