A Trip to the petting Zoo [Sos/Gabe]

Just hours after the heist of theirs and handling themselves against the government and their agenda. He figured that Nola had a bit of a rough time with the past few days and wanted to maybe surprise her with a bit of a small celebration. Gabe didn't necessarily reveal anything as of yet, only inviting her for a small drive as he waited in his car.


"Hmm..."

Checking his watch, Gabe wondered if she would be coming soon?

Having received a call from Gabe earlier Trinity had been getting ready for a simply drive, she assumed he wanted to talk about what had happened the night before, granted she had to tell her parents she was just going out for a walk or something, since if she told them some man was coming to pick her up....well questions would be asked and she doubted that Gabe wanted those kind of questions asked. So she left and headed out of the house thankfully her parents were busy with other things. To keep her story solid she even grabbed all the things she normally took on a walk, her large backpack, and a rolling suitcase with her things in it in case she got Ideas for songs or wanted to read a different book.

Walking over to Gabe's car, which was out of sight of her home for obvious reasons, she put her things in the back and took the passenger seat next to Gabe "Hello..." she said simply as she assumed he had the topic he wanted to talk about.

"Hey, there is a place that I want to take you today..."

Gabe would say as he started to drive off and hit the road. As the drove along the road, Gabe played some slow jazz music in order to set a more casual mood for the road trip.

"She hit you pretty good, is your face alright?"

In regards to that, Gabe was talking about when superbia decked her. He was worried about Nola and knew that sometimes she could come off as a frail girl. Gabe wasn't too sure what he would have done if Nola didn't immediately get back up or acted a bit staggered.

"Well, it's over now..... i'd like to think that this may be our very first line of success. Or with some hopes, this could be the first of many. But do you think I made the right choice with what I said?"

Hearing he had a destination in mind she nodded a bit, and then they were off, well at least he seemed to not want to do random driving. Maybe have a destination was easier? Ether way they were going somewhere and as they drove he turned on some music and she looked out the window as they went about their business, at least for a while before Gabe asked her how she was after the hit from Superbia.

"We are fine, the punch didn't do any real damage, We believe the loss of the creature caused her to lose all her strength as well, it only surprised Us, not really leaving a bruise or anything that would be permanent damage or even really temporary" she said honestly with that toneless voice of hers and her expressionless and unblinking gaze now locked on Gabe as they drove.

His section question was a bit harder to answer, but she wasn't going to not tell him the truth, honestly he had asked her to be honest anyway as he proclaimed he would be honest even if it was something she didn't want to hear, so doing the same made sense.

"Your message was yours, and that is nothing that We can say is right or wrong, however, We have made our position clear before...They seek to live with the so called demons, to be able to coexist, our little friend is proof that it is possible, seeking them out and destroying all of them is not something We are here for. However We also need to show some united front when dealing with the public, so as for what you said We can say We believe you did your best" she said honestly to him.

"I understand that Larsinny is trying to do the right thing, i'm not trying to condemn demon and put everyone on a witch hunt with them. You might say that they want to live in peace, but the desire to live in such a way in a world that we call our own is debatable. Going over the contents of the speech, it's about what the people of Endymion want, not you or me. If everything is united on a forefront of trying to coexist with demons as a strange form of making up for what happened in the past, I wouldn't go against it."

He drove silently and listened to the music for a while, being a little over a half hour before they got to their destination in the area of the Lexaco ranch.

"Here we are..."

Parking the car aside, Gabe would open it and motion Nola to follow as we went to the back of his trunk. Popping it open, he would reveal a picnic basket.

"Well, here is the surprise, we are going to not only have a picnic, but I'm taking you to the petting zoo! You can meet all sorts of animals there, the chickens, the rabbits, the ducks, things of the sort. "

Trinity listened to his reasoning, but still she had her mind made up, she was going to try to reach that goal if she could, she understood that Gabe had personal issues with the Demons, he had made that abundantly clear, even his words hinted that he may blame all demons for the past, rather then the two people that had caused the issue in the first place, two humans, she had to wonder if he even realized what he was saying? But she sat in silence as he finished, she would have to talk with him more about this later, right now seemed a bad time.

While listening to the music she couldn't help but compare things, events that had happened recently, people she had met so far, the division of the playhouse as others had gone on a path that meant killing, whether they were doing the right thing or not, but in the end the Demons were just like people, their were good and bad ones, some made the choice to work with the government or not, some made the choice to stay out of it or be rouge elements, there was nothing to say to that honestly except that in that manner they were just like humans.

Her thoughts were interrupted by Gabe's announcement that they had reached their destination and she looked out the window a moment, then to Gabe as he gestured for her to exit and so she did, meeting him at the back of the car she looked into the trunk of it that he had opened and seen the basket and before looking up at him about to ask what was going on.

He answered her question before she got to ask it, and though her normal expressionless gaze was locked on him, she gave that gentle little huff from her nose that she did when she was happy, and she nodded a bit as she looked back to the basket "We have always wanted to go there..." she said as she looked to the basket a bit more, though she wasn't good at expressing anything it was obvious she was excited as she grabbed the basket and lifted it out of the trunk and held it above her head and looked to Gabe waiting for him to lead the way, and gently bouncing on the heels of her feet.

"Really? This was basically a shot in the dark when I decided to bring you here, I didn't know if you were going to like it or not. But judging from your reaction, it's a good thing that I managed to bring you here and keep you in high spirits. This means that I'm more likely to surprise you with what I have in the picnic basket. Which is a complete surprise! So you cant have lunch until later on, alright?"

It's been a while since Gabe hanged out with Nola, he wanted to least make it memorable for her. She seemed pleased, so it was about time that Gabe started the tour. Heading over to the pig pen, Gabe noticed all of the little piglets playing around and moving over to them as they smelled the milk bottles and wanted to get to them. There were other little animals like goats, ponies, ducks and rabbits.

"There is plenty to choose from in other sections, but I wanted to see if you wanted to stop here first? I got some feed and the bottles are over there. "

Trinity followed along still holding the basket aloft above her head, still clearly excited, well clear to anyone that knew her well enough anyway, Though the teasing made her want to look in the basket she didn't cave into that desire as she followed along. Already she was having a bit of fun just from the fact that they where going to a Petting Zoo, she would get to spend time with cute animals and be around them all day, she was quite content with this, it wasn't really an option normally to come to such a place.

Still following Gabe she looked around, that expressionless gaze falling on everything around them as she walked. Stopping at the pig pen Nola looked at the little piglets and reached out to gently pet one then she looked up at Gabe as he spoke, and on mentioning he had feed and where to get bottles she nodded "Yes please..." she said in that monotone voice, and letting out that happy little huff from her nose as she looked back to the little piglets.

"Alright, let me go and get that then..." Gabe would shift on over and get two bottles, one for himself and one for Nola. After walking back over, Gabe would hand her the bottle as he pet the pig on the head. It oinked happily as he caught a whiff of the bottle and motioned over to Nola a little more. "Looks like it likes you..." Gabe would say this with a smile as he saw the little ducks playing with each other in the distance. They looked pretty clumsy as they tripped over each other, causing Gabe to laugh a bit. After a while, another piglet curiously walked over to Gabe and gave him a questionable look as it motioned over to the bottle. He started to feed it immediately once he noticed that the piglet was hungry.

"You feed them like this ok? Something like a baby..."

As she was handed a bottle Trinity let out another one of those happy huffs from her nose, and as the little piglet scooted closer to her she crouched down and held the bottle out just as Gabe was demonstrating, and she nodded as she pet the little piglet, a small smile on her lips as she continued to feed the cute little piglet, honestly she had always wanted to own a pet but with the schedule she always seemed to have, things had gotten to the point where she couldn't get one, only lately had things seemingly died down enough....or rather she was more aware that her extra activities were digging into what free time she had.

But she simply stayed there feeding the piglet, petting it gently, it's cute little oinks pulling her attention to taking care of the little thing. "Thank you....." she said to Gabe as she continued to feed the little piglet.

"With the amount of time that you have to be a superstar and perform with the rest of your siblings, I didn't think that this is something that you would be majorly interested in. At the worst case scenario, maybe you saw a place like this before and outgrown it, but judging from your reaction, it looks like you have yet to experience such things as being driven out to a farm to meet with the rest of the animals. "

Something like this seems achievable, but was it possible that her busy schedule didn't permit for it?

"What exactly have you done for yourself in terms of self-interest over the past few years? Music could be something you wholeheartedly wanted to pursue but was there anything else you guys had an interest in but couldn't pursue as well?"

Trinity continued to pet and feed the little piglet, that very small smile still on her face, and as Gabe spoke she let out another of those happy little nose puffs, and she simply stayed silent as she fed the little piglet, she had always wanted to see the animals on a far or something, but she had always been busy training, practicing, recording, her parents wanted what was best for her and for her to live a "Fulfilled life" At least she thought they truly wanted her to enjoy what time she had, but...they never asked her if this is what she wanted, they had the Idea in their heads to do this, and they assumed it was what she would want. Granted she never spoke up about it, but..they had started her training and practice almost as soon as they had adopted her.

Looking to Gabe for a moment as she pets the little Piggy "We haven't had the time to pursue anything but music, only rarely did We get the chance to do anything else unless it was something We could do at home like trying to make handicrafts, but We are not good at those, or read, but only lately has Our time to ourselves increased, Though it may be because..." she suddenly stopped talking as she assumed he knew what she meant.

She herself was already aware her time was running short, if she was lucky she had at most six more years, maybe her parents were letting her spend more time doing what she wanted because they where already well secure? she didn't know. But she was glad she was able to come down here before she was unable to move around so easily.

"You don't have to say anything, I know. I understand that due to some medical difficulties, you have the particular outlook that the time you have left here is limited. But I personally don't believe that. Doctors say things like that all the time, the doubts and fears of inevitability shouldn't transpire towards the expectancy of your life. However long you have, it could be doubled or even tripled. Or heck, maybe a treatment to help you might come along. As long as you maintain the strong will to live, there is always going to be hope. "

Petting the pig once more, it ran off to play with the other little piggies as a baby goat came along and started to chew on the side of Gabe's pants. For some reason, it seemed intrigued by his clothing or had a taste for it.

"I refuse to accept it, I refuse to give up. "

Gabe was..different then Selenus to say the least, it was odd really, Selenus would comfort her but he wouldn't deny the facts. Gabe meanwhile told her he would always tell her the truth even when it was something that she may not want to hear, but here he was denying the medical facts of things in favor of hope, it was such a strange things to see and experience, she had honestly thought his reaction would be far different in the long run.

Looking at the Pig she nodded, the little piglet finishing off the bottle and staying near her, the little creature letting out cute little happy oinks as it snuggled close to her a moment, before nuzzling her head and heading off to play with it's siblings, something that Trinity wasn't about to stop it from doing, the small smile stayed on her lips though as she looks to the baby goat that was currently trying to eat Gabe's pants.

She started to pet the baby goat, and pulled the bit of cloth out of it's mouth so it wouldn't go eating Gabe's clothing "Thank you, to be honest We had been thinking of...alternatives...however since current happenings We have not taken any steps towards them as it seemed...pointless now...Maybe We will start looking again..." she had meant the death of Selenus, honestly at the time she had been looking up the Idea due to wanting to be around her friend forever, he had always seemed rather...lonely, maybe it was because he could have out lived them all as far as natural life span would go. When he died she had stopped looking up information, she seen no point in it due to one of her main reasons having been taken from her, but..maybe she could start looking into it again.

"Do we have anything to feed the goat? We worry that he may try to eat your pants if we do not have anything for it" she asked as she gently pulled the baby goat into a hug to distract it from Eating Gabe's pants again.

"The past happenings, I'm sure you aren't talking about the recent events that led to our night escapades as a whole. It would have to be something deeper than that. So what you mean is..." She was the closest to Selenus, of course, it'll hurt her even now. "Even if we were all to disappear, regardless of the circumstances, you shouldn't live for the sake of others. I'm not criticizing you for using Selenus as a motivational tool for going on, but he would have wanted you to continue, reach adulthood. Maybe if you made it that far, name your son after him. Maybe you can dive into science with his "Father" once we find out where he is and rebuild him based off of new tech and your memories. There is a different form of existence that he contains, not only the one that will always live in your heart, but the one that you can rebuild as long as you have the memories and mannerisms of him. In a way, you would be living for yourself for the sake of bringing him back along the way."

Gabe spoke briefly, but he was sure she understood what he was going about. As for the food for the goat, Gabe walked over to the coun machine that spat out grass and other tasty treats for the goats. After putting in a dollars worth, he handed the grass over to Nola.

"Pesticide free, specially grown for the nutrients and development of a baby goat. Believe it or not, this farm thought of everything. "
