| "Nah, I guess not," Patricia spoke softer with a small frown. On anyone else it'd be a fairly neutral expression but on the happy-go-lucky girl it stood out from her well-known absent smile. "I'm not sure, I guess it really doesn't affect me all that much so I don't think about it a ton." She really wasn't sure if she believed in God or not, it was a nice idea but it was a lot different from what she'd been shown from people. It was pretty complicated. Her parents were Catholic and tried to drag her into it too, she used to go to church all the time until her brother died. And then as she got older she started to notice how those kinds of people looked down on everyone and how some of the religious people would try to take advantage of you, so she stopped getting suckered into it. Sometimes she thought about it but she felt conflicted with everything, it would be nice to have something good to believe in like that and maybe she wanted to but after everything that happened to her in her life Patty had a grown sense of dislike toward it. The angels didn't help at all. She was pretty sure if God existed the way everyone thought he did then he'd be an asshole. But she'd change the topic when he did, this wasn't something she wanted to focus on. "I know right?" she agreed to the drinking, her usual smirk appearing back on her lips, "Like, you can't stop people from drinking, it's not bad by itself. It's only really bad if it fucks you up just like anything, right?" Patty didn't make any comment on the forgiveness thing, just held her normal blank smile even though it really freakin' bothered her. Like... that's not how forgiveness works, or not how she meant it. Like some rules were stupid and you shouldn't feel sorry about breaking them, whoever should just suck it up and accept it as long as it wasn't causing any problems. Forgiveness was accepting something and moving past it, it never meant that you were okay with it and it's what you wanted or even that you weren't still mad about it, it was more complicated than that. Forgiveness didn't have caveats and it didn't have boxes to check. "Yeah she didn't wanna do it so it made it easy to get her away from it but she's okay now I think," Patricia smiled. Heretical wasn't a word she'd use, dangerous was. She could give a flying fuck what people did as long as her friends weren't getting hurt for it, it didn't matter what stupid rules she broke or whatever, that wasn't the point. Patty rolled her neck from side to side, pausing to take a few gulps of her cider. "I was up anyway, I didn't get home from work until like midnight and I gotta do stuff, y'know? Like I can't just sleep until class starts, get out, go to work and do it over again, I'm not gonna get anything done that way." She actually got out around 10 but she lied so he wouldn't feel bad, but she was up for different reasons anyway. Mostly because she didn't feel like sleeping and wanted to zone out for a while so she didn't have to think about how much it sucked not to be able to try out her new skateboard. She stretched her legs awkwardly across his lap, chewing her tongue for a moment before changing the topic. The skinny chick fiddled with her phone and found a new song. She was starting to get drunk so this was one of hers, she wanted to do what she wanted to do. "Oh hey, I love this song!" she chirped as she interrupted the end of the current one for the one she wanted to listen to. It was a sad song anyway, she didn't feel like listening to sad shit. This new song probably wasn't what Albrecht was looking for but she deserved to play what she wanted to. Patty actually hadn't heard this song until she made the playlist but it sounded pretty dope, especially for Christian rock. Like it was kinda street and kinda hippy at the same time, she felt like she could really shred to it. She started to nod her head to the music and tap her foot on his lap in time to it. Seriously a freakin' good song. | |

| "Is that so? I used to be like that, but then i went through some dark times, were not for the church i don't know where i'd be now." Maybe it was the alcohol making him more talkative, or maybe the fact he was alone with Patty and he wanted her to understand why he put so much importance to it. He did not meant to imply she'd go down the same route as he did once either. He wasn't willing to delve further on the details however, only anger in those memories. He grasped his cup tightly. "But you do you." He was no priest, he was terrible with words so he saw no point in attempting to convert her.
Much like her he would not linger on that subject. Alcohol was much more simple and something both agreed on.
"Indeed." He gave Patricia a nod, he never understood why some strains of Christianity were so straight edge or limiting on what people can do. Drinking is good for you and it has been provento be healthy to drink wine every once in a while. Of course one had to care to not fall into excess. "Which is why i'm here today, i suppose. To drink with you."
"Was it her parents who got her into it or did she entered into it and only noticed how much of a bad idea it was later?" He'd drink too, as to keep up with the purple haired girl. "Hm... if you say so. I just worried for a moment."
"Is this what they call Nu-metal?" He asked. "Hm... Good choice." He'd nod again, not noticing his feet was tapping along to the song.

| Patricia became really quiet when Albrecht talked about his own experience. She wanted to be positive and stuff but it reminded her too much of her own situation. She looked away with a sort of sad expression and sipped her drink. Church tried to be there when Patty went through her own troubles, but her experience was different. It didn't try to help her, it hurt instead. There were the doomsday cults just after the Divide that were pushy and scared her. There were the judgy people that told the death of her brother was what God wanted. And then there was good old Catholicism that her parents fell hard into and turned them crazy, changing their entire lives to "save" themselves. Everyone was clutching at her and trying to drag them down with them and lucky for Patty she had adapted to not giving a shit and getting wrapped up in something someone thought could save them. She didn't fall into the happy little lie that made you a worse person. And she'd never let anyone tell her how to live again, for better or worse. "Yeah. Okay."
Patty pulled her legs up and drank a bit more, looking sad and distracted until Albrecht changed the subject. She cracked a smile when he said indeed. SUCH a nerdy thing to say. Her mouth would open a bit in surprise before breaking into the widest grin. He DID like her! Like, he was just really bad at showing it, but that was cool! Patty didn't mind doing all the work there. The skinny chick rolled onto her knees and basically fell into Albrecht to embrace him. "Awwwww! You're soooooo good to me baby!" she crooned. She nearly spilled her drink in the process but as if she cared, the cider was starting to hit her pretty hard.
The druggie girl would squeeze Albrecht but take her arm with her drink out from around him so she could still, like, drink it and stuff. But she'd stay leaning on him, resting her head on his shoulder. "Mmmmm... I don't really know how she started it but like, she didn't have any parents. Mica was with her sister after the Divide and she wasn't around that much, she bitched about it a lot. It took us a few days after she was crashing with Lacey to even hear from her sister so I don't think she had anything to do with it." Patricia shifted to a more comfortable position where she could support her torso by herself instead of just... hanging off of Albrecht. "Like... Mica wasn't in a good spot after it happened, nobody was. We could all try to pretend everything was normal after it happened but it was never the same, too much happened and everything changed. Everyone I knew changed too, they weren't the same people after, not even me... And I guess... everyone just tried to deal with it different. Mica got swept up in one of the doom cults, a few others did too. They tried to get me too but I was like angry back then and a major bitch so I wasn't having it. They didn't force anyone but they kept promising hope and just... taking from people. It made me fuckin' sick." As she spoke Patty's mood dropped considerably. She nearly spat her last sentence. People like that were scum, the worst kinds of people. They were worse than murderers in her eyes. Like a killer could kill you but these people could take your soul away and they could get away with it.
Patricia blinked at the music suggestion, almost confused at how pissed off she'd gotten just by talking about the doom cults. Seriously the worst part about California, even with the major Death Quake that hit and fucked the coast. The lanky girl immediately dropped her bad attitude for another smile. "Haha, it's music Albrecht." Her eyes lit up and she came almost nose to nose with him when she turned her head. "Hey... you wanna pick the next song? I've been picking all the songs."

| There it was again, she calling him 'baby'. He didn't comment on it or did anything to stop her from hugging him. Too buzzed to care about that stuff, if anything the succubus was happy about it... or maybe that was the issue, he was making her way too happy about this without noticing. Just thinking about it gave him a headache, his intention was just friendship but he kept making her want something else...Well, at least she is cute and cool. But he shouldn't be looking at her like that. "...That sounds horrible." People changed... that's definitely something that resonated with the Knight, his life was just not the same anymore and he'd never be able to restore to what it once was, even if the world comes to peace someday. Then he'd just no longer be useful. "Good thing she had you, to think others were pulled in to said cult." He had been warned of such heretical cults while studying in Helsreach, he also feared Endymion had some of those within it, right in plain sight and nothing was done about it. As for Patty... she might be prone to excess and be without direction but she had a good heart in his eyes. She got way too close to him when he commented on the music genre, her emerald eyes were too close, and that enticing smile again. "Uhm.. sure." He scratched his head, it would take a couple minutes for him to put anything on. First wasting some time on figuring out on how to operate the device, then on trying to remember any songs he knew and trying to find them with the few scarce details his memory had. "I'm.. not quite sure where i heard this first. But i found it." | |

| It was almost weird, he wasn't grumbling or just dealing with it this time. She kinda missed it. It was pretty cute. But she didn't wanna take his compliment unlike she did the others. Patty knew she really didn't do a whole lot that time. "Everyone lost a lot when it happened, all we really had was each other. I just didn't wanna lose someone all over again like that. The world's bad enough without that." Mica wasn't a great friend but she was someone she knew, someone she saw everyday and interacted with. When it started happening at first it was just gossip. Did you hear? Mica's been talking to those weird guys, the ones that try to brainwash you. And she didn't do anything then. It wasn't her problem or her choice, everyone had a different way of dealing with what happened. The lanky girl didn't do anything to stop her. When she came back it was a different story, she was pissed at her and yelled at her and had to apologize later but it was for her own good. Lacey really did all the work in letting her stay and making sure she got looked after, Patricia just kept an eye open and pretended she didn't know where Mica went. Sometimes she went to see if she was okay but... Mica didn't wanna talk about it and Patty didn't wanna ask but she'd hang around for a while, just to make things normal like they were before. She didn't think she did enough back then but she had herself to worry about too and the fucked up shit with Reggie. But maybe that's why she helped at all, because she knew what it felt like. Patricia shook her head and let a distant smile grow over her frown. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't of brought it up, I don't really wanna talk about it. Like, I'm being a total buzzkill right now right? Let's get some tunes bumping instead." There wouldn't be any trace of her sour mood as she came closer to Albrecht and when he got shy she giggled a little bit, lilting her head at him with an expectant smile as he scratched his head. She'd pick up where he left off and as soon as he stopped scratching his head to look at music she'd start doing it where he left off. Patty would stare at him for a bit as he adorably avoided the situation by digging into her phone but she'd get bored pretty quickly, eyeing the screen as she continued to scratch absentmindedly until he picked one. The lanky chick listened for a little while into the lyrics kicked in. It was like... German or Spanish or something but it had a really kickin' beat. She didn't know the words but she liked how the song went. Patty nodded her head and bopped around for a bit before a goofy grin spread across her face. "Hey hey! Take guitar and vocals, hahaha!" she laughed, quickly setting her drink down and getting some space from him with a playful push on his chest. Patty took the "drums", hammering out the air as if she were playing and headbanging with her long hair. She'd look over every now and again to see if he was gonna join in or not. The delinquent girl really wanted to dance instead but she didn't wanna jump around on her foot and this was almost as good. | |

| Again. So she lost someone close to her when the divide hit as well, he felt empathy for her as he had lost his sister. It was no surprising however, there were too many deaths with the Divide, caused by the demons and the unlawful. Which is why he crusaded against the spawn of satan, why he sided with the Queen despite her flaws. At least that's what he told himself to justify his thirst for slaughter and personal vengeance against a whole species. But his empathy for the girl was as true as his blood lust.
"Having someone there for you sometimes is just what people need. In the end she was safe, and you had part in it." The forgotten figured it was a subject that should be dropped, it only brought the mood down.
When he felt her touch on his head his face turned to take a quick look at her. His mouth opened for a moment, he was about to demand that she stopped but... he enjoyed it and so just returned his attention to the screen of the gaudy phone.
He watched as the girl enthusiastically began to 'dance', When those verdant eyes met his with expectancy he couldn't help but look down, his head hanged low in shame and guilt. He fidget for a while, but at some point he chugged his drink down and jumped to go along with Patricia. He felt ridiculous doing that but the two were alone there, nobody to judge him doing an air guitar. He didn't knew the language, but he knew the lyrics and what it meant somewhat, at some points he'd get a bit too close to Patty and lightly bump shoulders with her without noticing. When all was over he smiled for a second before falling on the futon with a sigh.
"I'm sorry, i'm getting carried away."

| Patty was enjoying herself for freakin' sure. She was having a blast! It was pretty cute how he just kept avoiding her, he even let his jaw drop for a second like he knew what she wanted to do but she missed her chance. She kept going even if he was too shy and kept trying to avoid it, it'd work eventually and she was super happy when it did. It took more alcohol but he ACTUALLY got up and started to dance with her and sing a little bit. She laughed out loud and got more into it, letting her body sway as she hammered out on her imaginary drums. Patty noticed when Albrecht bumped into her and the second time it happened responded herself with a hip check, sticking her tongue past her teeth devilishly in a taunt. And then he smiled. She liked it when he smiled, and not like the "I'm smiling because I'm uncomfortable" smiles, like a real one. The druggie chick could tell the difference, he wasn't a good liar like she was. All she wanted was to have fun with him since he was here, it made things easy when he actually let himself enjoy it for once but it was over pretty quick. As Albrecht fell onto her couch Patricia would stoop down to drain the rest of her cider, raising the empty cup triumphantly in the air for a moment before chucking it across the room. "WHOOOOOOOO! Ahaahaahaaheeeeeeeee!" She cackled and turned on her heel to fall backward onto the couch, splaying across his lap. Okay so NOW it was hitting her pretty hard but she didn't care, Patty wanted to keep drinking and having fun. "Hahaha! Who knew you knew how to rock out?" she encouraged with a lopsided smile. With a flash of insight she scrambled to grab her phone and pick the next song while it was still in her brain. "Ooh ooh gimme! I like this one!" It was a separation from their normal genre but she still really liked this song. Patricia snapped her fingers and moved her head back and forth in time to the intro while the song kicked up before beginning to sing, staring into Albrecht's eyes as she did so. "I can feel it COMIN' in the air tonight...! .....Oh Loo-oooooord.... an' I've been waiting for this MOMENT, for all my lii-iife... Oh Loo-ooooord...." Her rendition was a little loud and off-key because she was drunk but like, this was a bitchin' song. Patty could and would sing it the full way through, too. | |

| She was getting drunk, very drunk. Not that he was much different, he was feeling wobbly already and already dropped some of his inhibitions. Patty clearly was having a blast with all this. She looked kinda cute sticking her tongue out as much he loathed to admit it, not because he disliked her, which he didn't, but because it meant his mind was considering desire, to be with her as more than just friends. Which was something she was also interested in, making it even more dangerous. He would have to watch himself for the remainder of his time there.
"Yeah i was surprised too..." He almost sighed reflexively. It was a struggle of half of him wishing to go along with Patty and the other half struggling and watching that he does not make any severe mistake while there. "Huh?" His head tilted when the next song came up, the lyrics sounded very familiar. Like he had heard a version of it before.
Patty seemed really into it, whatever it was. Yet again he found himself lost in the verdant forest that were her eyes, he didn't even notice the off-tone singing while like that. Upon noticing he was in a pseudo trance he shook his head and stood up.
"I'll go grab some food." And so he stood up leaving Patty alone in the couch for a while. He returned shortly after holding a bag of potato chips, he'd take a step towards the couch. And in his drunken state of mind he thought it would be a good idea to hop over the couch's arm, in an unsurprising twist he miscalculated and his foot got caught in the arm causing him to fall down, swiftly with his free hand he would attempt to hold onto anything as to not fall on Patty. Though despite his success now he was only a couple centimeters away from the girl while getting close face to face.

| "You should totally dance more often," she prodded, "Like it's way more fun in a crowd, we should go to a metal show, wanna go?" Patricia kept getting her signals crossed with the mixed ones he was sending. Not like she was trying to stay in the Friend Zone but she liked him and having fun and sometimes one of them took priority over the other one. It was totally stressful to just keep focusing on getting Albrecht to do something so sometimes she'd go back to relaxing and not worrying about stuff, like, that wasn't the point of this anyway. Either way the lanky girl wanted to enjoy herself, whether that was dancing or going to a show or screwing around, it was whatever.
The thug easily noticed how Albrecht froze, how he was staring at her. This was what she was waiting for. As she kept singing she picked herself up on her arms so she could inch closer but he'd pick her up off of him and get up to go get snacks first. She didn't act quick enough. "Yeah okay." Patricia flopped down on the couch with a small, thoughtful frown. She hugged her arms to her sides and stared up into the ceiling. Fuck dude, how did I mess that up? I should of just went with it, I don't know what's wrong with me. She bounced her foot up and down as she waited for him to come back but she totally hadn't thought he'd trip over the freakin' couch. Patty let out a gasp as she threw up her arms to shield her. "Haaaaaa...!"
He stopped himself though and she sorta helped catch him with her arms on his chest. He was really close now, freaked out and with a quick heartbeat just like she was. She could feel it. Patricia panted out her shock but... ended up doing what came naturally. He was close, their blood was pumping, and they were drunk and laying on her couch together. Patty narrowed her eyes and leaned up to kiss him. It wasn't an innocent kiss, not completely innocent anyway. She gave him a little tongue and nipped his lip as she pulled back. Her head was foggy and she wasn't thinking clearly, just the way she liked it. She could lose herself in the moment this way. It was a good moment. He felt warm. It was nice. Patty cocked her head at him with that same sultry, slant-eyed gaze and tried to go back in for more. She needed it. It made everything not suck so bad, she didn't have to think about her foot or stupid school or anything that wasn't this. It was just her and Albrecht and the heat between them. And it was peaceful this way.

| "I'm not sure if i would have the time." A metal show... He knew he wouldn't fit in such environment, concerts also tended to start late at night and go on until after midnight, at that time he should be fighting demons or going in missions. So he didn't want to make any promises he might not be able to keep, this was one of the issues of letting civilians get close. Being unable to stay close to them when they want or need.
"Ahahah..." There was drunk laughter coming from him for a while, too busy laughing at himself to pay mind at how close his body was to hers and then he felt it. Their lips touching, his body tensed up at first in shock and his hand released the snack bag he was holding. Due to the alcohol in his system however he quickly let himself be taken by the moment, the heat and excitement. It was his first kiss, he'd allow the delinquent to lead him on, he was unsure what to do and would caress her cheek but would eventually retreat his hand for its previous position. She stopped, looking at him with inviting eyes, his breathing was a bit heavy and his heart rate skyrocketed it felt like it could jump out of his throat at any moment. It was only a brief moment for him to contemplate on these feelings she had invoked before it all started again. For those few moments the desire to shed blood was erased, the angst of loss was absent. Just him and her drunk in that couch.
Of course it all would eventually come to an end, as everything does, once the second kiss was over Albrecht sat on the couch, his cheeks with a vibrant shade of red while his head hanged low. He had not sinned, yet his heart was filled with regret. He could not be what she wanted, not without hurting her that is.
"I'm sorry, Patricia." That was the first thing he said before getting up and directing himself to her door to leave, probably the last thing he would say too if it depended on him.

| A surprise, but a pretty welcome one. Patty didn't expect him to kiss back. She expected Albrecht to freeze and let her do all the work while he just... didn't know what to do, like he did with girls. He let her take charge sure but he wasn't exactly unwilling, she could feel him tense in her embrace. And then relax. She let her hand drift to hers as he stroked her cheek as if to hold it there. It was the perfect kiss for what it was even if they were both drunk, falling between the hesitant brush on the lips and the "fuck it, I'm wasted in the club so let's play fuckin' tonsil hockey" extreme. It fit. Everything else ceased to exist and it was dwarfed by the moment, it just wasn't as important. It wasn't as real. THIS was real, this was what reality felt like when everything went right. For a little while they were breathing the same breath, they were living the same thing, and everything just clicked. She didn't have to think, nothing was complicated, everything was just... there. And it was good, at least for a couple seconds.
Patricia was starting to pick up steam, going in for Round 3 when Albrecht pushed himself away. Her dreamy eyes snapped back to the real world as he did and she pulled herself up too. Then came the awkwardness but it was a lot less awkward for Patty. She rubbed his arm with a reassuring smile, not something inviting but comforting as if to tell him that what he did wasn't wrong because it wasn't. After a little while she started to recognize that look and it wasn't what she thought it was at first. Patty expected embarrassment, shame, a little shyness but that was okay, that was kinda normal if you didn't usually deal with girls or anyone like that really. Her face fell when she registered regret. "Baby-"
He cut her off as he got up to leave and pulled the rug out from underneath her. For once in a rare moment Patricia panicked. She picked herself up, stumbling on her bad foot and lunged after him to grab him by the wrist. "Albrecht wait," she pleaded, but adopted an obviously fake and goofy smile to hide how concerned she actually was. "Wassup, ha ha you good? Talk to me, Albrecht." It was probably a lot less serious than she should've been but old habits died hard. If anything could make her heart beat faster after that kiss it was something like this. Patty knew what came next. It wasn't the first time she'd been here. And like every time before it she was gonna try to hold onto something before she had to let go of everything.

| Third time, third time she called him baby. It did not annoy him, but it was worrisome. He should have cut her off during their first meeting to avoid all this, back when neither her or him cared much for each other. He was foolish of not casting diversions aside early, instead he assumed he could continue his life style from Helsreach. It was a mistake he knew in his heart from the start but denied it, few in Endymion could be his friends without being hurt.
The girl didn't had to catch his wrist to stop him, when he took notice of the girl stumbling around he turned back to her to offer support. He didn't want to see her hurt herself over him. He looked down for a moment, only looking back into her eyes when she called his name for the first time. She carried herself with worry, worry for a beast mad with rage.
"I'm fine." He was not, but he wanted Patty to forget about him and move on. "Look, i... really enjoyed my time with you. But i can't do this, nothing good will come from me, only death." He did not wish to dwell on the details. In fact he believed he had said too much, no such thing would have come out from that mouth were him sober.

| Whether she had to or not Patty grabbed him by the wrist anyway. It was something to hold onto to make sure he didn't just go. The lanky girl liked Albrecht, she did, but she didn't trust him enough not to walk away. Not after he was already talking about it. He didn't wanna get involved with her and she could get kinda get it but also kinda not. He was a church boy and she was a party girl, those two backgrounds didn't mix that great but it's not as if he was the bad one in all this. She'd only shown him the best parts of herself, he hadn't seen the bad yet, and it hurt more knowing that he was going to leave without that. Like she was fundamentally fucked up, an incurable disease. He was scared she knew, and he was too drunk to make sense.
But someone had just started to care and she accepted it, it was too late to shut him out and not get hurt. She wasn't about to lose this again.
"Albrecht, what are you talking about?" she asked in an uplifting tone with an underlying desperation, "Ha ha, c'mon! Stay here and drink with me!" Patricia beamed her most adorable smile and her voice was sugary sweet. He liked her when she was cute. If she kept being cute he wouldn't wanna leave, he'd want to stay. The few times she acted like that he listened against what she thought he would, he took concessions, he even danced with her. It just had to work one more time. But what if it didn't? What if this wasn't enough? She wasn't sure what he wanted and she'd have to think quick. Albrecht didn't wanna do this, soooo... she'd give him an out. It'd hurt a little bit but it was better than getting completely shut out. Patty was a fighter and this was something she was willing to stand up for, but she didn't think she could do this. She didn't think she could make him stay and just accept her, so she went for the next best thing. Her cute face dropped a little into a plastered on smile with sadness in her eyes. "It's okay, Albrecht. This doesn't need to be anything you don't want it to be, we can just let it be what it is and tomorrow can be different, 'kay? We can go back to havin' fun...? You were havin' fun, right? Ha ha, c'mon, stick around."
As she talked about going back to having a good time Patricia slowly pulled on Albrecht's arm to lead him back into the room. Or at least she'd try to. She really didn't want him to go and leave her alone again. She wanted it to go back to a couple minutes ago where everything was easy and nothing mattered and everything was lighthearted laughing and dancing like idiots... and she'd say anything she had to to just hold onto that a little longer.

| Albrecht could see as she struggled to try and keep him around, even if just for longer. Even if just as friends. His goal had been to get away without hurting her feelings but it seems such thing was impossible, she was sad that he would abandon her, scared even. The knight stared at his feet, head hanging low in shame. He tried to search within himself for a solution, how to cut off ties without making her sad. He reached the conclusion that such thing was impossible, lingering would only prolong the pain. He should make it like ripping a bandage, very painful but momentary.
"I'm saying you are better off without me, Patty." The forgotten was concise, he didn't stutter or hesitate when he spoke back. Though he couldn't hide his discomfort for seeing Patty sad like that, she was upbeat almost all the time. She even tried to negotiate, saying how fun it was for both and while true, his fun did not matter for his decision. He had nobody to blame but himself for that situation. "Have a good night."
He would not bother to gather his belongings, too drunk and too busy worrying to remember about that.

| It stunned her like a sock to the jaw when he tore away. She just stood there with her arms out and a look of concern and loss. And it sucked. It really, really sucked. "N-no, I'm not, Albrecht c'mon," she muttered in half pleading. But he was gonna leave anyway. He was gonna leave her alone like everyone else did. And it sucked. It shoved a nail deep in her chest because of what it meant, like she didn't know what it meant. How he came over to see her but she had to push it and now he was gonna go and leave. It sucked because it meant it was her fault. Patty didn't like to think about it but it was always there and it was there in her bad moments. When you smell shit wherever you go check your own shoes. Shyeah, it figured. Everyone kept leaving her. It reminded her that she was the problem and she didn't know what to do about it. For a moment she wanted to let him go and damn him, demonize him, hate him for fuckin' doing this to her and hurting her like this. He'd lumber out like he was doing and she'd go back to drinking or she'd take something to fry her brain and she wouldn't have to think and it didn't have to suck.
...but Patty was selfish and she wasn't gonna do that. She wanted this and she was gonna freakin' fight for it. Seek pleasure, avoid pain, and this was the best thing she had right now and if it was up to her she wasn't going to lose it like this. Resigning to her own pity was easy and she always took the easy road. But denial was even easier. Her face shifted from worry to complete anger and she shouted after him through the open door. "Albrecht!" The lanky chick took a step and looked around. Shoes? No shoes. Fuck it, we're doing this without shoes. Patricia sped-walked after him, wincing a little with every other step. At least the alcohol made it a little easier but right now she didn't fuckin' care about her foot, she was doing this anyway. Patricia stormed after Albrecht looking like she wanted to wrap her hands around his throat instead of talk to him like she planned on. She wasn't gonna let him leave like that. "Hey. Hey. What's wrong? You better start talkin' to me. Hey."
