It was a rather lazy morning... But Cass had to roll himself out of bed eventually. He had plans, a course of action, a bill of rights to see through! Or something like that... Really, he didn't remember a lot of what happened after Gaia's attack, and quite frankly he wasn't about to ask Mr. Bell about it. Nope nope, he wanted to make right with him. After all, it was his deal that caused him to come here in the first place.

He'd eventually make it downstairs of the Pendragon estate, walking over to a rather large kitchen with a somewhat blank face. He didn't know what state of mind Mr. Bell would be in... Would he be sad? Angry? Depressed? He... Didn't even know if his brother was here or how he felt about leaving his world behind. Suicide was a common happenstance here with those that suddenly arrived on Junction let alone those who simply died down in the Slums when Junction's sustained atmosphere suddenly appeared.

Really, it was all so much to think about... But he knew one thing. He'd make Mr. Bell happy!! So, he'd storm towards the refrigerator and pull out everything essential to the best breakfast he knew of! WAFFLES!! With a side of soda, fresh fruits, and so on! Did he know how to cook? HAH! AHAHAHAH!! HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAAHHH!!!

No. The answer was no. But he didn't have to cook when the kitchen could cook itself. Spoiled? Eh, just a little. He knew the basics of cooking but he wasn't about to botch the meeting over a failed dish. He'd rather it be perfect and in good shape. And so, the kitchen would go about automatically preparing the breakfast meal as Cass got ready to wait for his guest. Hopefully he'd show up...

Vel would be invited to the Top Ward the day before, and given instructions to Cassiel's estate. He'd simply have to press the intercom button at the gate to contact Cass and be escorted in.

Vel took another puff from his inhaler, if one god forsaken good thing had come from the decade plus long nightmare that was Permanence it was the fact that against all odds Vel had managed to build something of a tolerance to whatever this so called "Baseline atmosphere" was. Turns out ninety percent of the humans out there breathed a mild nurotoxen... Fucken weird. But all his time breathing the stuff back on Permanence had bolstered Fel against it, and without Gaia's sick mind games playing with his memories and sense of self he was able to breath the air of Junction just fine, so long as he took the occasional puff of pure Sulfur Gas. Not that any of this was pertinent to where he was going...

To him, all this seemed needlessly flashy, but by god did he appreciate it. Fel hadn't seen anything as decadent or fancy as this so called "Top Ward" sense he was kid back on earth. Having spent most of his life ether living in a cramped space ship or a wooden hut, he frankly forgot what it was like to have nice things. As it turns out, this Cass fellow has an abundance of "Nice Things".

The estate was huge... Massive... Probably gave Gaia's biggest Avatar's a run for their money... Didn't stop Fel from sighing and dreading his cursed luck as he knocked on the door though, small suit case in hand.

"Ah! He's here! Ah, wait, uhm... Food's ready... And I'm ready... And, I feel like I'm forgetting something..."

Well, it was true he was anxious to talk about stuff, and Mr. Bell specifically... And, uh, just stuff in general. Though, whatever! Exciting things! Let's do it!! Cassiel would dash over to the door, and swing it open dramatically, posing ever too dramatically before making a grand gesture for Mr. Bell to enter the house.

"Hellllllllllooooooooooo!! I welcome you to my home! Make yourself comfy! I've got food ready and your room too! I know you guys can't breath like the rest of us so I got the room air locked and pumped with your breathy stuff! Oh, but um, I guess I shouldn't overwhelm you..." he'd say with a nervous sigh. He really didn't know how to do things like that. He'd walk towards the kitchen though, gesturing Mr. Bell to follow so he could at least eat something. The food was all ready, a lovely assortment of waffles with glasses of soda and a spread of fresh fruit. Really, it looked quite fine! Except some of the fruit was probably beyond foreign to Mr. Bell... Maybe that's what he forgot... Did Mr. Bell even know what a waffle was?

"Um, here we are! The food's great, promise! We have the best cooker ever! Or, second best... I think they've made a new one recently, eh heh." he'd say with a nervous laugh. This was gunna be a bit awkward, but he wanted it to work! He owed Mr. Bell big time and this was the least he could do.

"Oh uh... Thank you. I appreciate the hospitality. Long as you don't try to murder me! Aha!..Ha...haha... L-Like I... accidently... On Permanence...H-eh..."

Vel could feel his left eye twitch as the air around that joke died faster then his hopes and dreams did the moment they left earth. Solemnly he would follow the young man in and... By god this house was even nicer on the inside. Vel felt whatever the opposite of claustrophobia was as looked around himself at what would be considered overly extravagant even back on Earth"Wow kid, you really are living the good life huh. If you could afford to put in an air tight chamber that quick... dang. Maybe you know what you're doing after all."

Vel would gain a bit of his pep back as he saw the spread before him. "Is that, pastry?" He asked practically drooling over the waffles. Most things grown in the Permanence soil would cause an acceleration of Gaia's affects, so safe to say that bread products and pastries were not something that Vel had seen in quite some time. Vel would, with very little hesitation, take a seat and begin to devour the sweet breads put before him, nearly crying at the taste."It's been.... so.... very... LONG!"
