Like Permanence before it, like Abara before that, and like the trillions of trillions of trillions of worlds before it, Junction arrived in Determination suddenly and without warning. Unlike Permanence however, this world reacted, and reacted immediately.  An open line of communication was established between the leaders of Determination and Junction. Discussions of what Junction was and why it had come were quick and surprisingly smooth given the outlandish nature of the city and where it had come from. Soon, talks of diplomacy and trade were tabled and eventually... Talks of diplomats were brought to the forefront. Lady Annabelle thought it pertinent to send a Seeker to meet the representatives of the new world, and it just so happened that one such Seeker was a close personal friend of one of her most trusted and newly appointed advisers. He had informed the lady Annabelle that...

"Yes yes, Damsel is the woman for the job! She'll do a Bully job and have a smile on her face the whole time! It'll get her out of my nonexistent hair at the very least...."

Thus the Seeker known as Damsel was given the task of meeting with the chosen representatives of Determination, a job she surely would take seriously and only bring with her the strongest Seeker allies she could find...

Right?

Thus began the Seekers of Junction's adventures in...

"Ok... So I may have lied an intsy wintsy bit... But that dosn't mean we can't still have fun!"

Mission: Damsel's Date Original
"Just think of it as getting paid to hang out and have fun! Sure we'll have to talk to some boreing diplomats or something but Lady Annabelle says that we get to go see the race to! I'm way past excited! Now we just have to figure out who's who's date?... Hrm..."

Junction had landed in a largely abandoned and rundown racetrack on the outskirts of Blurr City, the capital of Determination. Luckily it hadn't landed in a position that would cause any lasting damage to the city or it's residents. Damsel and her dates would be escorted first to the base of the city, then to a designated meeting spot by the newly appointed Seeker First Contact Administrator, F'Xiong.

F'Xiong would explain to the group that they were to be on their best behavior as they were representing the city of Junciton in this first contact. Followed, of course by a glare directed squarely at Lucian, and something about how he was quote, 'This close to a promotion' when all this 'Seeker Bullshit' started.

After what would feel like an hour of walking, the group would reach a long, sturdy bridge leading back towards the city. On the bridge was a man and several motorbikes.

Junction dimensional jumping had taken an even weirder turn somehow. But admittedly, Blake was kinda of out of the loop. Maybe because she was having a hangover while everything went to shit but that's not relevant and nobody has to know, if anyone asks she was quietly at home petting her dog waiting for shit to normalize.

Why was she going to Determination? Well, in one of her rare day walks she had somehow stumbled across Damsels mission. It appealed to her for many reasons, first one was that she got to explore new places thus satisfying her wanderlust, there was money involve and she would probably get to cockblock some creepos who were likely drawn by the prospect of dating a cute girl. It would be funny.

Mission: Damsel's Date CYz1hET
"Hey. You Damsel, right? What's up?"

She greeted the pink haired girl, smiling. So there were other people too huh, she'd give them a light hand wave, admittedly she was slightly suspicious. But just kept on smiling and waving.

"Race? Well this oughta be good. Though i'd rather go on a date with the cutest girl here." She nodded, there was a grin on her face, a genuine grin. From the sound of it this world was filled with speed demons, kinda exciting. The bartender would follow the group and listen to the instructions and infodump quietly. They eventually would have reached the bridge, she'd let others handle this for now. The bikes looked pretty rad, though that guy need to do something about his eyebrows.

Well, this was definitely a little more than he'd been left to expect.
No matter.

Mission: Damsel's Date Irvine21

"Sounds good to me. Whole goal's enjoying ourselves, and hell if a few stuffy bureaucrats are gonna get in the way of that!"

Irvine grins wide as his gaze turns to Blake, mischief in his eyes. "Interested in our fair Damsel, are you? Well, if she's interested, then I've no plans of getting in between you two." The grin develops into a smirk as he slowly looks over to Lucian. "Which'd mean I'm stuck with Cravat over here...well, can't say I'm particularly into guys, but no reason I can't still have fun with this."
He quickly slips over to Lucian and takes one of his hands in both of his, giving him the most over-the-top, starry-eyed look he can manage. "I'm counting on you for a good time, okay?" For all the sap in his voice and hope being poured into his look, the little twitch of his lips betrays his amusement at it all.
Just as soon as he's closed in, he backs off again, hands in his pockets and focus back on the rest of the entourage. "Alright guys, let's go have some fun!"

Irvine takes to the rest with a constant good humour, and a snicker at F'Xiong's blatant enmity toward Lucian. It's tempting too see just whether the man's face is something he can manipulate, but he pushes that idea down.
Hard.
That's not something you do to a guy.

As they meet the man and his collection of bikes, Irvine can't help but smirk again. "That's right. Sorry about the delay..." He looks over to Lucian. "I think my friend here can explain it best."

Mission: Damsel's Date Empty
PostSubject: Re: Mission: Damsel's Date   Mission: Damsel's Date EmptyWed Mar 28, 2018 2:11 pm

It hadn’t been that long since their adventures in Permanence – and even less since his meeting with that creep of a reality-warper, and yet to him and his daughter it felt like an eternity had passed. The mere realization that this whole ordeal with the corruption and Personas and seekers and equestrian paranoia went further beyond just a large-scale civilian incident was something they had all assumed, but never really been forced to admit, and subsequently never admitted. With the way things were developing, however, it became increasingly more apparent to both Lucian and Alice that they couldn’t postpone the realization any longer: this whole conflict was on a scale like none other before. It was no longer about them, no longer about their life, no longer about their world, no longer about all worlds, no longer about Junction; whatever it was involved reality and destiny itself. There was no going back now from the role of what would either evolve into a hero or villain.

Among other things that ran amok on Lucian’s noggin as he arrived at the meeting place was the fact that this morning he’d woken up and been told by Liber that he was “Slowly becoming one with the ultimate pariah” before fading back into his subconscious. Eeriness of said cryptic comment aside, more surprising was the fact that he now possessed some kind of ability to manipulate light independent of his own Personae. Lucian wasn’t exactly displeased by the idea of gaining new powers and abilities – in fact, it made him feel like one of his beloved comic book heroes, and God knows he’d be lying out of his ass if he said it wasn’t outright fun – but the mystery of where exactly he was getting these powers from and why he was attaining them in the first place weighed heavy on his mind.

“Good morning.” Lucian greeted all present, arriving last on the scene. “You must be Damsel, right? My friend James told me about you. You worked alongside him during our time in Permanence, I'm told.” Confused and pensive as he was, he was in a good mood today, and particularly excited to visit this new world (which was why he took up this request in the first place). He’d offered Alice the chance to accompany him today as well, but she’d turned him down on grounds of needing to “sort out her thoughts”. Frankly, he could do nothing but relate.

D…date? “I think I’d rather just be the fourth wheel, thank you.” He joked between chuckles. Even if Damsel wasn’t doing this all as an excuse, he was way too old to go around dating, he thought. Besides, smooth talker as he was, his first, now previous marriage had convinced him he was no good at romance. “What’s this about a race, though?”

“Um…” Damsel being jestingly flirty was one thing, but the president was not expecting to get hit on by a guy. Not that he had any negative feelings towards the notion, he’d just… never considered it might happen. Then again, he did marry a pawn of the Horsemen, so it was likely he’d already indirectly courted part of a man by the most technical of definitions. “…I apologize, but the only good time I’m able to hand out here is timeliness. Speaking of which, we should probably get going, shouldn’t we?” Lucian couldn’t help but grin internally at F’Xiong’s display of spite. He’d consider the satisfaction he’d gotten out of it his payback for that slap he gave him back in Permanence.

Huh… that’s a lot of motorbikes. Wait… was… was this man trying to throw him under the bus? Lucian could have retorted by “explaining” that their delay was a fault of Irvine’s own failure to keep basic social etiquette and the rest of the group’s duty to educate him prior to going into an important diplomatic meeting, but he decided to be the better man here and simply let him off with a stern glare, waiting for Damsel to take charge of the conversation.

"Oh my. Well I supose I'll have to fine some other way to entertain myself..."

Damsel's shy smile turned oddly suggestive in response to Blake's comment, her eyes taking on a playful... yet sharp and flirtatious as they met Blake's. "Sense you'll be far to preoccupied with yourself for little Ol' Damsel. hehe." Damsel's jovial giggle returned in full force as she skipped to Lucian and Irvine, leaving Blake to stew over what she had said with nothing more then a glance back and a wink for her troubles.

"Oh you're Jame's friend? He was such a sweety! A little brash and old for my tastes but a sweety none the less!" Damsel would chuckle and hold pace with the two men listening to their exchange, her cheeks puffing out as Lucian shot down Irvine's more then stellar advances."Psh, what a stick in the mud, you sound juuuust like Gnary. All hoity and toity. Thhhhffffffffttttttttt" Damsel chuckled to her self as she blew a raspberry in Lucian's direction, no doubt getting spit on his suit. "As the leader of this expedition I expect you to loosen up Lucian by the end of the mission! Got that Soldier?" Damsel Snickered as she saluted Irvine with a wink.

F'Xiong could only groan.

"My apologies for the delay sir, we are the representatives of Junction yes. We came as quickly as we could. My name is Damsel, these are my companions Blake, Irvine, and Lucian. And you are?..."

Damsel's demeanor took a sudden and rather noticeable shift as she began talking to the officer. Becoming more ridged and professional, carrying with it an air of authority and practice. The man would look slightly taken aback by the small woman, however he regained his composure quickly. "My name is Delimet. Officer Spei Delimet. Good to meet you mam." Spei would outstreach his hand and shake Damsel's before turning to the rest of the group. His eyes settling on F'Xiong. He seemed visibly shaken, the color draining from his face before composing himself and continuing. F'Xion scoffed and mumbled something about Baseline Racism before turning and walking away from the group.

"I've been sent to escort you to today's race so you can meet with the representatives of Determination. Unless you have any questions that can be answered quickly we have to get going, it's across town and the race has probably already started. If you don't have an Accelerator, hop on one of these bikes and follow me."

Spei would don his helmet, waiting for and answering any questions the group had. Once the group had finished, a spark of blue flame encircled Spei's feet, and with a wave of his hand he would summon forth an ethereal motorbike. He mounted the bike and revved the engines in one fluid motion, before taking off down the bridge.

Damn that girl was way more intense than Blake had come to expect. It threw her off even... at least internally, somehow she kept wearing the same smile, even biting her lower lip lightly. If Mio looked at her like that, gosh, she'd be blushing and frozen in place. She'd quietly watch Damsel skip away and talk to others, she'd be surprised to hear the name James thrown around. Now there were many James out there, but brash and old narrowed it down a bit. She couldn't help but wonder if it was that one.

"James? Is it a cyborg that smells like cheap beer and cigarettes?Short hair? Has an A.I wife?" She blurted out, she just had to know if it was the same dude.

At the bridge Damsel would have been the one to handle the introductions. The officer soon followed by introducing himself. His name had caused the bartender to snicker for a brief moment before she contained herself.

"Spei Delimet? Is it a French name?" The girl inquired with a surprisingly straight face despite the fact she was just being a shithead. Hopefully this wouldn't cause some sort of diplomatic incident. Or get her in jail, that would be troublesome, she gotta be at work at ten. Once the officer had relayed even more information on them, Blake would undo her twintails, letting her hair down before hoping on the Accelerator excited.

"I used to ride a motorbike when i was younger." And drive cars too, not that she could legally drive them but she did anyways, now she actually has a license but no car. She'd hop on the accelerator. "Hey Damsel, wanna ride with me?" She'd rev up the engine to show off and wait for Damsel's choice before speeding off. Feeling the speed and the wind reminded her of her teenager years and the freedom she once had...

Any composure Irvine had is shattered to pieces the moment Damsel blows a fucking raspberry at Lucian. Irvine cracks up outright, returning the salute and the wink with ones of his own.
Oh, he liked her. They were gonna get along just fine.

_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/

Damsel was a very interesting girl indeed. This was not the girl who was blowing raspberries at Cravat before. This was a girl who did a job, and did it damn well. He was glad that wasn't his first introduction to her, otherwise he wouldn't have gotten to know just how much fun she was.
A little smirk was all the sign of amusement he would show at the man's name, but that was nothing out of the ordinary for his expression. He wouldn't comment on it, though. Name's a name, no need to take the piss unless they named themselves something ridiculous even by their own world's standards.

Irvine watched with interest as the ethereal bike formed, settling himself in on one of the other more mundane bikes. Didn't have things like these back home, but he'd had more than enough time to get used to them. He looked over to the others as Spei...sped off.
Things were going to be interesting if other people had names like that.
"Come on, let's not keep the guy waiting!" Black creeps across his skin as he shadows over his helmet, painting it black and hiding his eyes to the world. "Time to get moving. No need to slow Spei down."
Irvine takes off after Spei.

Mission: Damsel's Date Empty
PostSubject: Re: Mission: Damsel's Date   Mission: Damsel's Date EmptyFri Mar 30, 2018 9:00 pm

“…” Lucian remained silent as he used his handkerchief to wipe Damsel’s spit off of his suit, clearly annoyed. This lady was certainly a handful and a half… but no matter! Lucian wasn’t going to let her inconsideration ruin his good mood and excitement; frankly, he was a little sick of every day being a bad day as of late. He was on a grand adventure of his own, for God’s sake!

“Ha! He wishes J.U.L.I.A would see him that way. Other than that though, yes, that seems to be the man.” Lucian jokingly replied to Blake’s questions. My, it seemed James had been getting around the block throughout the last few days. Good for him; it was also nice to know he had something to keep himself occupied with other than torturing his lungs and/or liver. “Do you know him?”

Ah, well, it was good to know that she could at least take herself seriously when the situation called for it, and her diplomatic persona (heh) was certainly fleshed out and tested, if Lucian’s own experience in negotiations was anything to go by. Nevertheless, that altercation in between her happy-go-lucky demeanor and her serious side would definitely take some time getting used to.

The president couldn’t help but subtly raise an eyebrow at the mention of the officer’s name. Spei Delemit? A race? Next they were going to tell him the national anthem was a Eurobeat song about places and/or situations that have already been encountered before.

…shit, he should’ve made that change during his first term.

More calling to his attention than that awful pun of a name, however, was Blake’s own snarky side-comment. French? As in, France French? “Blake, your world had a France too?” Wow. He realized it really shouldn’t have been from what people told him, but that would make Blake the first person other than his family that he’d met in Junction hailing from an Earth of any sort, as far as he was concerned anyway. “How about five continents, two tropics and 70% or so of the surface being water?”

“Yes, I have a question.” Lucian chimed in, his hand politely raised. “Ever since we got the briefing there’s been mention of a race, but nobody’s bothered providing us – or at least, me – with the details. I know what a race is, but what makes this one so important that we should be pushed to see it?”

“Accelerator? What’s…” Lucian’s question traced off as he saw familiar blue flames circle Spei’s feet. These flames… they were the same as those that showed up around Vel whenever he summoned his Persona, as well as Lucian, Alice and Azul… well, while they were outside of Junction, at least. Instead of a Persona, however, Spei manifested a… motorbike? Huh? Hold the phone; was this man’s Persona just coincidentally also a ride, or did he mean something else when he brought up an Accelerator? “Well, I don’t know about any Accelerators, but we’ve-“ Once again, his words were cut short as he reached behind his back to pull out his Summoning Flag but was instead greeted by the feeling of a short pole around his fingers. Curiously perplexed, Lucian yanked it from its hidden little pocket of non-existence and saw that instead of a large, undulating American flag, he was now wielding a small, checkered, white-and-red racing flag. Fortunately for him, by the time his curiosity had dragged him into bringing out and consequently perplexing him, Spei had already sped off.

Not having to fear a similar reaction from Spei to what he gave F’Xiong anymore, Lucian eagerly waved the flag and summoned forth what… well… at the very least he could sense it was Liber, but…

Mission: Damsel's Date TTj9Zvi

“…Okay, WHAT?!”

This was… he didn’t… how did…

“…”

As Lucian stood dumbfounded, he heard the familiar voice of Liber ring out in his mind.

//Officer Delemit is moving farther away.//

//…Fine, but you owe me a complete and detailed explanation.//

With that out of the way, Lucian hopped on his newly transmogrified Liber and sped off to follow officer Delemit. Even though he’d never ridden a motorbike before, somehow he knew exactly how to operate this one. He assumed it was similar in function to the way he just kind of knew what his regular Personae could do, or how he now just kind of knew how to manipulate light around him.

These Personae were gonna drive him insane.

//Oh, god dammit!//

Mission: Damsel's Date Empty
PostSubject: Re: Mission: Damsel's Date   Mission: Damsel's Date EmptyMon Apr 02, 2018 6:19 pm

Mission: Damsel's Date 238123
"What the hell is a French?... Anyway, the race today is a Qualifier for the one hundred and first Ego Grand Prix. Team Black Rider is racing against team Wild Style for the last open slot in the Grand Prix, it's going to be a big one."

With no other questions or delays Spei lead the group over the bridge and into the city. Spei would take notice of Lucian's Accelerator before driving off. With a raised brow he would give it a quick once over, nodding and impressed by what he saw. Though, if he noticed anything important, he wouldn't say anything as he took off. F'Xiong would say nothing as he mounted his own Accelerator and sped off after him. Unless directly spoken to, he would probably not have much to say for the rest of this trip... As frankly he simply did not have anything to say, nor wanted to be here.

Damsel would stifle a giggle as she mounted Blake's Accelerator, holding on tight to the young bar owner "We better hurry up! I wanna see this race! Go as FAST as you can Blakey!" Damsel's peppy demeanor returned as she  snaked her arms around Blake's waist. "You look like a girl who likes going fast after all... Ey Blakey? Hehehe." Damsel whispered into Blake's ear as a mischievous smile etched it's way onto her face.

Blake and Irvine's bikes would give quite a jolt as they quickly accelerated to their top speeds, topping out at around, according to the console at least, three hundred kilometers per hour. Yet even at this speed they were unable to quite catch up to Spei who had to slow down slightly to keep pace with their mechanical rides. Lucian, however, would feel Liber speed up quite naturally under him, as if he were running himself.

...
..
.

Mission: Damsel's Date Parallax_scroll
"Stay close, the roads get tricky up ahead. Were almost to the stadium."

As the city sped on by, the group would get a good look at the world that Junction had found itself in. Compared to Permanence and even their home-worlds, this world was a technological marvel. The roads, instead of pavement and concrete, were constructed of hard light that could be turned on and off at a moment's notice. The buildings and infrastructure of the city seemed to be built around this concept, built on the need for speed that permeated the very air around them. The roads twisted and turned around the cityscape, turning the commute into a race in and of itself. During their ride the group did not encounter a single stop sign or light, instead they would traverse countless over and underpasses, merge and divert from flows of traffic constantly and not once slow down from their blistering pace. It was almost as if the city itself was a living being, and it's roads it's bloodstream.

Mission: Damsel's Date Falcon-park-at-sunset
Not long after beginning their ride, the group of Seekers would reach the Colosseum. Spei would lead them around to the loading docs of the track where they would see several crews preparing for the race by doing everything from engine tests on racer's Machines to test laps around a smaller course off to the side. None of the workers would pay them much mind as Spei brought the group to an empty garage. Once there he would hop off his Accelerator and direct them to park near the back wall.

Mission: Damsel's Date Adsfad10
"Alright, wait here for me to get back, I need to go check in with my higher ups to see where you guys need to go. Just hang tight and don't touch anything."

The group would be left to their own devices for a bit, and told not to touch anything or go anywhere. Whether or not they listened to that instruction was up to them.

Inside the garage were many tools and equipment.
From outside they could hear the roar of engines and what sounded like large footsteps. This engine sound however sounded different then any they would have heard on their way here, as it would sound echoy and almost hollow. The reverberations would pull at something deep within Irvine and Blake... Almost calling to them.

PostSubject: Re: Mission: Damsel's Date   Mission: Damsel's Date EmptyTue Apr 03, 2018 1:12 am

"That's the man, yeah. Fun guy to have around." Though Blake didn't interact much with him, he interacted more often with and was served by Jack. Maybe they share some kinship in one being a soldier and the other being a retired cop? Whatever the case, James was little more than a good acquaintance, and despite Junction's cosmopolitan nature she managed to run into people who knew the cyborg.

"Don't mind me Officer Delimit, just thinking out loud." She had a shameless and rather childish sense of humor at times, it didn't get her in trouble so it was all good. The twintailed bartender found her attention set on the president once again."It had a France, part of Europe. It also has a place called Australia where Wild Life is out to destroy you. They have a legendary creature named Emu that managed to defeat the Australian Royal Artillery." The girl in twintails stated with a straight face, with some luck Lucian or the others would come from a world where the Emus weren't a thing.

Mission: Damsel's Date WFdrvB4

Blake would have to double take, looking back and forth at her own panel and the other two ahead. This was kinda of insane, 300 km/h was already insane. Yet she was having trouble keeping up. She really wanted one of those vehicles they had. She'd also take a moment to appreciate the city, it reminded her of her own world somewhat, but brighter.

"Uhm... Blakey?" She had spaced out for a moment, having focused on the speed demons ahead for a while. She stopped for a moment, thinking on how to reply. "It's just kinda nostalgic. Though with you i would take all the time in the world, baby." That one was cheesy, but it was purposefully so. Honestly to her it was kinda funny to just flirt like that, maybe because she had no emotional attachment. Damsel was cute though, and seemed like a nice girl even if too cheery.

Their destination was an empty garage. It was mundane. Mundane for her at least. As she walked in, she quietly set her twintails back before sticking her hands inside her coat pockets. She would have remained quiet if it was not for the engine sound.

"Huh?" Now her curiosity had been sparked, she would take one careful step at a time to peek outside to see whatever cool vehicle was causing all that noise. She didn't plan to take long, just a peek before returning to the garage and wander around the garage and looking at the junk like nothing had happened.

"Any of the wildlife taste any good?" Hey, he had to be on the watch for potential new ingredients for Ray to work with. Sure, they might be deadly, but that didn't stop people serving half the things they did on Junction. Just a quirk of the business in that place.

Damn...these things were fast, and Cravat and Spei were going even faster. No wonder they thought they were slow to get here if this is what they were used to.
Hell, just...damn. This was something special, alright. It just worked. There was a cohesive flow to it all, even as the road he was just on vanished to make room for new paths. Organising all should be a nightmare...but it worked.
Or at least, it seemed that way...he had no idea what lurked beneath the surface.

As Irvine dismounted in the garage, he nodded to Officer Delimet, and sighed as the man left the room. "Too bad we can't find out what any of this does...or really, how it works. With what we saw on the way here, they've gotta...have..." Irvine trailed off as he felt the strange sensation that the engines were creating in him, the pull on something deep within himself...something he'd made efforts to ensure remained that deep within. "Hey...anyone else feel something? There's something..." An unusually troubled expression sat on Irvine's face.

"...I need to see what's doing this." Following in Blake's footsteps and further beyond, Irvine moved toward the outside, a need to know what was stirring this feeling driving him forward.

“Yeah, that sounds about right.” Lucian nodded, confirming his suspicions. “It would seem we come from parallel worlds, then. Small multiverse.” Hopefully there was nothing resembling nuclear destruction or the Horsemen in her own universe.

That… didn’t really explain why it was considered so important that aliens were being invited, but if Lucian had to guess, it had something to do cultural differences. This place did seem like it was shaping up to be a racer’s dream, after all. Without questioning it much further, Lucian simply nodded his head in understanding of the officer’s explanation.

As Lucian sped forward on Liber’s motorcycle-like form, he could feel an immense sense of thrill overcome him as the wind lapped at his face. Even at his age, he still wanted to do these kinds of things as he’d wanted since he was young, but the opportunity had sadly never come up. This speed, this unrestrained velocity, for lack of a better word… it was… straight up fun. Lucian couldn’t help but let out a chuckling yell of excitement as he sped across the highway. It was nice to remember he wasn’t that old in spirit from time to time.

When the group finally arrived at their destination and got off their respective rides, anyone looking at Lucian would notice a big dumb smile on his face as he hopped off of Liber before the latter disappeared back into his subconscious. His hair had been slightly disheveled too. Shame, that. “Whew, alright, um…” Lucian chuckled at his own inability to regain his bearings. “Wow. We should have jumped here a long time ago.”

Having regained his usual demeanor and hairstyle during the walk to the garage, Lucian simply nodded as Spei told them not to touch anything. As agreed, Lucian didn’t intend to touch anything as he walked around the garage with his hands clasped behind his back, but he definitely intended to look. All this machinery… the allure of the mystery of its purpose was hard to resist. “Hey, Blake? What do you make of…?” Lucian’s question trailed off as he noticed that Blake and Irvine were currently staring at something highly noisy outside the garage. Curious and a bit concerned, Lucian walked back to where the two were standing. “What’s all this about?" He asked as he looked outside himself.

Mission: Damsel's Date 183861

"..."

Soon as the group stepped from the safety of the garage, a dark blue blir would speed past their vision, caring with it a tremendous gust of wind that threatened to knock them from their feet with it's monsterous force. It would not be for a few moments after the blur passed them would they hear it's passing and feel the earth shattering sonic boom that traveled in it's wake. F'Xiong's smoke form would be blown back, followed shortly by the small black solid body underneath, sending him flying into a nearby tool bench. From there he uttered a loud and clearly untranslatable curse that was drowned out by the blur's second passing. The second gust knocked Damsel from her place and flung her back a few feet before she was able to right herself."W-What the hell is it!?"

The blur would pass by twice more, getting slower with each pass before coming to a skidding stop a few meters from the group, in-front of another garage.

"I'm feeling a slight pull to the right when I hit the peek of the turn. Might be the weight difference due to that being my shooting hand. We'll need to weight my left shoe to compensate."

The odd man stood from his bike, allowing it to vanish into the ether. His stature was an imposing seven foot seven inches, clad from head to to in riding leathers. An air of hostility radiated off the man in waves that felt as if they held physical force. Yet, the pulling feeling that Blake and Irvine felt, that tug at something hidden deep within them, clearly came from this man, and what ever was in the garage he had parked in front of.

A sudden clanking would break them from any stupor they fell into however, provided they could still hear after the multiple sonic booms. A second figure exited the garage, equal in height to the first, yet dwarfing it in heft.

Mission: Damsel's Date Skull_10
"I doubt it will have that large an effect..."

The same growing sense of conflict radiated off this second figure as well, it's armor shining in the midday sun as it cast a lazy gaze over the first. An uneasy silence would fill the space between them as they turned their attention towards the group's garage, regardless of if they were still watching them or not.

The growing tension inside Irvine and Blake grew, almost snapping... almost breaching the surface.

"Yeah, Emu, Kangaroo and crocodile meat are edible. Medium rare is the perfect point, anything beyond it dries out." The bartender replied, how she knew about that she was going to keep a secret. She just had really strange companies as a teenager. On that subject she wouldn't say anything beyond that though.

"Holy shi--...!" She exclaimed while struggling to keep herself in place and her skirt down. She felt like she could be blown away at any moment just like F'Xiong or Damsel. This shit was surreal. "You two okay back there?!" She glanced over at the two people who had been blown away.

Her attention returned to the two racers, their vehicles looked pretty rad. They looked cool themselves too, though a bit goth. Normally, she'd have listen to Officer Spei Delimit but this... thing inside her compelled her to approach. What the hell was she going to do once she approached the dudes? No idea, but she did anyways.

"Yo!" She blurted out. God damn it Blake, why are you doing this to yourself?

Mission: Damsel's Date Empty

"Gotcha!" It wasn't clear just when he pulled out the notepad, but there it was, and Irvine jotted down everything Blake told him before putting it back away again. "I'll have to get some for Ray to work with. Guy's a genius in the kitchen, I'm sure he can figure something out." And even if he couldn't by himself, he had a whole ghostly entourage who knew the art very well before their release from their mortal coils. They couldn't sample themselves, but with a good enough description they wouldn't need to.

Well...looked like Cravat was a closet speed demon. Interesting. "Well we're here now! Have fun while it lasts, buddy!" He grinned wide as he spoke.

If Irvine hadn't been used to crazy winds before now, he'd have been sent flying too. As it was, he had to grab his hat and brace himself, gritting his teeth as he was forced to watch the others get sent flying while he anchored himself on...whatever the hell the weird doohicky he'd just grabbed was. Even that was budging. "Smokey! Damsel!" The moment the winds passed, he rushed over to help F'Xiong back up.
You had to figure the guy who got thrown into a tool bench could use the hand more than the still standing Seeker.
After making sure he was alright, Irvine looks back to see...Blake going out to whatever those blurs were. "Souls unbound, Blake!" He rushed out after her, to find her approaching two...distinctly oppressive presences.

Dammit. The feeling inside was growing. It just wanted to PUSH its way out and be free.
Nothing about this was good. Not at all.
Beckoning to the rest of the group to come and help, Irvine followed after Blake. As he did, the blackness that covered his left hand seemed to grow and writhe, and Irvine's shadow seemed to be trying to twist into a shape that was wholly unkind. He looked over to Blake with a casual smile, the sentiment only betrayed by a sharp glint in his yellow eyes. "Hey, come on, leave them be. They've their own stuff to do deal with."
