Mirror Mirror On The Wall [Infinite Jest]

As the team finally grew closer and closer to the source, they finally arrived what was the cause of all that noise. The door opened and here and behold they saw something particularly interesting. It was a stage like the last room, but it was organized and decorated in a different manner. It seemed to be made in a setting of an old manor. A working camera crew was active with their attention glued to the scene before them: a man in red costume fighting off two pretend enemies in dinosaur and robot theme costumes respectively.


A bluster of exaggerated movement and impressive acrobatics can be seen as the actor continued his acting with his costumed co-workers. The guards that were present in the building had their attention on the scene as well. But it didn't mean they weren't doing their jobs either way.

They would stick together. Their movements in sync. They were one and as one they would continue to be. They would enter the room with the sounds of movement and the opening of doors behind them. They would see the toys, but decide not to play. Too play would draw much attention and end the fun to soon. No. No play not right now. Maybe later.

They would back out of the room of toys. Back out and back into the halls now full of life. The fake and the real would mingle together, like well blended ingredients for a perfect dish to be served. They would not be able to tell each other apart, the faces of the grinning dolls that talked and laugh as they milled about. They would walk among these dolls undisturbed. For the dolls did not think nothing of things that looked like they belonged.

The dolls just continued to chat and laugh as they drifted along among them; however, there were dogs and screamers among the droves of dolls. Dogs that patrolled the halls moving this way and that and screamers that kept them all in view from above. It was these things they had to watch out for as they moved and swayed in the sea of grinning, laughing, talking dolls.

They would continue on. A step or two here and pause. A long dash there. And pause. The dolls, the dolls. They were leaving now. They went to play other games leaving only dogs and screamers to worry about, but they would be nothing to them for now. The dogs had not caught their scents and the screamers remained blind to their doings. They were safe for now. And now more movement and a pause. Now they were in a lively room. Another stage, but with a play and many people. Watching. Watching. And dogs. Sniffing. Sniffing. The sound was loud and the attention on the red bird and creatures on stage. But careful they would be. For the dogs may not see, but sniff, sniff they did. Best not let them sniff and find them there.

A brief pause to enjoy the atmosphere, rest the feet, and the engage the mind. Tick tock. Tick tock. The bell went off. Time to go. Go. Go. Go. Forward and turn and down and turn and up. Pass the dog. Pass the black birds. Follow the snake. Now hide and wait.  

Movement:

The Red Feather Ranger made a dramatic pose before dashing over and making an impressive jump kick towards the reptilian enemy. A grunt escaped from the monster upon impact. They seemed hurt, but it wasn't enough to put them down. The hero of the show even made a quick somersault away from the counter the robot monster lashed out with his metallic arm! Underneath the mask, the man known as Jack Ranells smirked.

After a bit of a disaster, the one of wax kept on take after along in case there was any plausibility of messing up any longer. They needed to dodge that, victory would cruel there were more openings to act upon the internal wants of chaotic acts. "Cut!" The cameraman hollered out just as Feather Ranger Red was about to make one more exaggerated pose. The trio of costumed actors looked confused. It was rare that they had a cut in the action sequences. Jack was usually pretty great in them with little need for it. The camera crew fiddled with the device they were using, but they seemed just as confused as well for a while. "Hold on, guys. Something's wrong with the camera. Hey, dude in the back! Jared, right? You mind checking up on the cord back there? We might've overextended or something."

There was also the sound of footsteps farther from the stage's right. "Yo, Jared. Get on that or I'll tell the boss you've been slacking."

In the back, a guard annoyingly hollered back before beginning to step towards the team's direction.

The plug was back on. Just as the guard was about to near even further to the group, the cameraman noticed something was going on with the camera. Through the lens and the LCD screen, it was back on again. Weird. But he wasn't going to complain about it as long as they can get back on schedule, "Never mind! It's working again! My bad, guys!"

The guard groaned and simply walked back to his usual meandering shift. The rest of the employees made nothing out of the situation and went back to work.

strange. strange to feel the chest thump feels like frighten so oddly. the MaGnIfIcEnT BeArD was never afraid but the man behind the beard could be less man there were things out there there were things inside in the head talking rambling brambling voices rusty red they had to go fire sale everything half prize like a carnival ride. rides were very diversionary they could distract the puppets and make them laugh like screaming everyone would be entertaned forever and not at all.

after the eye stalk was back in the head the red ranger would dance red ranger with his red ranger friends.
No one would suspect anything at all. They were all blind idiots. They couldn't see their hands in front of their faces. The truth would be revealed and everyone would laught it was a funny joke they would love it and everyone would like each other again.

As the actors, the guards, and cameraman continued their work, they would never notice the slithering group that continued to gleefully connive to ruin their work for their own goals. Once the Jest team finally arrived at their latest destination, there was a switchboard with cables straddling up to the ceiling and linking to the electrical lights above.

the buttons were trouble. they were conspiring against them. all the tid bits and gizmos wanted to see them fail they screamed for help at a gentle touch and the puppets rushed to quiet the babes luaghing. time was wasting away rotting like fruit flies like a banana rotten filth.

it was important but why? meaning is meaningless unless they could guess the test of the jest sneaking sneakily like snakes frustration. what did they want? they told them what they wanted but they didnt tell them what they wanted for this place.
