Mirror Mirror On The Wall [Infinite Jest]

It should be any moment now. In a quiet lonely and empty alleyway that no one ever visited, a single individual kicked a can and it fell into an open garbage can in one fell swoop. There was a kind of restless energy inside this person. Something that threatened to explode. Shit needed to be done, but only when the others haul their asses here. Underneath the very noses of the populace and the Cadets, they have no idea what was happening. There was a sense of giddiness to be derived from manipulating all these sheep. But the true fun came from them attempting to triumph over a force that can be barely understood. It made this masked Jest wonder if they ever will at all?

The breaking sounds of the wheels as they churned was the ordinary handle of individuals went approximately their day by day lives. Ignorant of their genuine circumstance as the toys of the one with the evil grin, things proceeded as they were as all moved to this tune.

This tune of torment and wretchedness was as it were the starting, there more to be done in the title of L.

The one of wax was substance to a degree. The complexities of life were eradicated and supplanted with the feeling of suspending the act of thought. In any case of the result, it had to be the wants that they continuously looked for. Such was the lovely constable of the evil ones. When the one of wax arrived, the clothing was that of a work cap that was pulled down the larger part of the way to cover the eyes. With a combination of gloves, long sleeve shirt, and a pair of dark cargos, it was all topped off with a little tidy veil to cover the mouth.

The city was alive and well all around. The various transports zooming about, the various chatter of human and animal alike, the various smells that surrounded it all like a sickly perfume. The masses who lived in their safety bubble believing as long as something fought for them they would be forever safe. It was a foolish thought pattern, but one that could not be hated. After all, the masses were only children that had yet to be awaken to reality, but that was fine. Let them sleep on. Let them continue to be oblivious. In time, they too would get embrace by something beautiful, but not now. Not today. Today they got to stay a little while longer in their dreamland.

In the quiet alley where the figure of wax and the other masked man were, another would join the crowd dressed in similar black work clothing as the first. Black pants, black boots, a black jacket zipped up over a chest that suggested that whoever was underneath may have been a female. The tailored clothing and curves suggested the same. However the face was covered by the shade of the cap and the strange work of bandages and animal skin that hinted of pale skin underneath and red lips. Stopping within the ring of the two men that was there, the feminine figure would shift its weight to the right as green eyes looked from first the one of wax to the other that they assumed was here to give the orders.

wheels turn to stop. screech squeal exit. door thunks shut. train leaves platform. time for walking.

the people dont know. the people will learn. the people will learn the truth they will learn the truth.
the joke was on them they would laugh at the joke it would be a funny joke. so much laughing sounds like screaming.
walking to the alley to see friends. best friends they were in on the joke it would be a funny joke.
the world was a joke. the punchline was five years ago. the joke was getting old. time for a new joke.

this person came dressed best to impress the rest.
everything was lies.

the clothes were lies. reversible brown jacket inside pockets stuffed to look fat. tearaway pants with weak stitches to be ripped off when the rip off rips off. trucker hat hides the head. a big bag messenger bag for things many things. there were things in the bag it was reversible too inside out like a backpack one way but it wasnt that way yet.
the face was lies. big thick glasses and brown eyes. long grey hair in a ponytail. big bushy grey beard. dark face dirty face covered in dirt like a construction worker.
the people were lies. fake the fake people this person did. they were stupid they didnt know the joke but they would laugh it was a funny joke.

this person walked into the alleyway to see their friends. they got the joke they knew the joke. the man in the mask would set up the joke and the wax and the lady and the one who came would deliver the punchline and the people would laugh and laugh. like screaming.

quiet. time for listening.

The Masked Man noticed the three arriving to the scene. When there was two from last time, now there was three. Did the recruitment campaign those few nights ago actually work? It mattered little in the moment. He could recognize the two of them despite their disguise, but the third was new. "Three this time? Great. Studio's down the block. Can't miss it with a building that big. Don't worry about the receptionist. She won't even care, I dealt with her. You'll need to get into security and shut off the cameras. Hard for me to sneak in if those are on."

The Man drew out what seemed to be a a thick package that was almost the size of his torso from the side of the street. He held it up to accentuate why it would be difficult for him. "And we got good timing, the guards in there are gone since it's lunch. But some are still around in the hallways, you can nab a keycard from them if you're smart enough for it. Also, can you guys try to the set the fire alarm on? Helps to clear the crowd and makes things easier for me. It's optional, but I'd appreciate it. Any questions?"

As the rest of the group begun to appear, the one of wax had a little feel as to what to expect from a few of them. One of them was somebody that the one of wax had met some time recently, another was a lovely modern confront. Be that as it may, it didn't matter who it was, all that mattered was that they could drag their weight for this work. Tuning in to bearings was something associated with the standard of working with this happy group. There was a periodic gesture here and there, which implied that the one of wax was prepared to go and didn't need to squander any time.

After the others replied, whether that had something to say or not, the mission would start.

Green eyes would drift to the third that entered though no words of greeting would come from those hidden red lips. As the one giving orders began to speak, she would listen and absorb it all. When the other was done speaking, she would blink slowly before her lips parted and she spoke.

“We’ll see what we can do for you, darling,” she would say her voice sweet like honey as she winked at the one who had given them orders. Then looking over at the other two with her she would continue. “Shall we then?” she would ask her tone seeming amused despite how calm she appeared to be on the surface.

the mask man talked. listening. understanding how the joke goes it happened the understanding how the joke goes.
two men and a lady walk into a bar the bar is a studio for the joke. they hack the cameras. they trip the alarm to trip the people to take a trip outside. a man walks into a bar with a big box the bar is a studio for the joke. the punchline comes later. it is a funny punchline it will make people happy. they will get the joke.

new faces new friends new frowns to turn inside out it will be a good day.
the time is flying the day is dying no more dying day time for goodbye. there were people to make happy and laugh and sing.

"Eager, aren't we? Just don't let the cameras see you doing anything suspicious and you'll be fine. Head on down. Meet me back here when you're finished." The Masked Man gave a thumbs up towards them in his approval and then jabbed it behind him before pointing with his index finger at the direction of the studio. it was a simple enough direction once they exited the alleyway. Taking the direction his fingers pointed at, they would easily notice a rather showy large building. It seemed to be housing several stages inside, something very close to a theater in a way. Once they got inside, there were a cluster of people meandering about in their own meaningless tasks. But in the center of it all was a woman at the receptionist desk. Though she seemed rather vacant, especially to the point to not noticing the group.


Now they were on their own with the crowd of people moving in and out with security guards fixed in their station. For further sense of security, the watchful eye of the cameras stared at the vacuous space before them. There was a dull muffled noise to their left and it was up to them if they wished to investigate it.

Feeling as in case a small bit of work out could be utilized, the one of wax strolled ahead to the region. Holding up around the corner, their movement would stop until the watch turned absent. Ideally, the others would follow along.

they did not want to tell the guard their joke. they would not laugh at the joke it was a funny joke but not for everyone they would ruin the punchline.

They had their instruction and so away they went. She’d follow with quiet footsteps and gentle sways. When they entered the lively area, she would take note of the receptionist who seemed like she didn’t have a care in the world as the three of them walked right on in undisturbed. When they got to where they needed to be, she paused as she watched what was happening before her. The person of wax took one path and the one with the beard took another. There were no words to explain why this had happened. No words of what they expected of her. The pieces moved leaving her to choose. What to do? What to do? One had to wonder. Though wondering would be short lived as she gave one glance at the path the being of waxed had taken and then with a slow blink, shifted her weight and went with down the path the man with the beard had taken instead.

After exploring a bit, the one of wax figured that it was the off-base way to go and chosen to turn back instantly. Maybe a distinctive course would open up?
