Get tipsy[Maria:Night]

"I believe you have once. But last time you haven't elaborated much. Continue, if you would please. Maybe he did mention about it before, but she wouldn't admit this time around that her memory was fleeting as of late. But having it recounted to her again made her wonder if they suffered from liver disease. But then again, it did help to get a lot of that pent-up stress out. Perhaps the Black Scriptures could learn a lot from them. There was a lot of doom and gloom within the Church and it made her wonder if Albrecht was uncomfortable about it. She was about to make the final knot to tie up the wound as tended to. "There, that should do it. Just let it heal. Change it out after every few hours. I can go change your sheets tomorrow if you want."

"It's pretty much a party they hold for the best performing squads every month. It's always supervised so no knight is let too loose... Not really much to it." The knight simply stared idly at the ceiling as he spoke to Maria, the Scriptures and Lions were very different but he didn't mind, he expected it would happen when he transferred over. His sergeant even thought a more mellow branch would help him temper his rage and battle lust. After Maria was done, his eyes drifted to her. "...Thanks once again, Sister. I think i can take care of the sheets, i'm used to cleaning blood from cloth."

"Work hard, then play hard, is it? I'd imagine someone gets hurt from time to time as all part of good fun and then just laughing it off from funny antics. Here in the Black Scriptures, it's very... dull," Maria wryly remarked. She remembered watching a bunch of old drunks making asses out of themselves from all the booze they had from her father's restaurant before the Divide. If anything, perhaps it's the same everywhere. Revelries sound fun in that case. Especially when people like Albrecht could become such floozy drunks. She nodded at him, "Are you sure you're alright with... this Church? We don't have much of an exciting drinking culture, I'm afraid."

He stared at the ceiling, ruminating on what Maria had said for a moment. While he agreed that a branch such as the Black Scriptures could help him mellow his anger, Maria made him think on how he felt about the Black Scriptures. He was an outsider with no bonds of companionship, rarely talked to people other than Maria. Even with the cadets he fought side by side weren't people he'd truly consider battle brothers, even if he refereed to them as such out of habit. He had Lamina Sanctus, but that was about it.

"Hm... It does feel lonely at times." Albrecht spoke, were not for his drunk state he likely wouldn't have admitted to being lonely. "Not that i dislike the people here in Endymion, most i feel like are good people or have some respect for, but none here are my friends or true companions."

Maria felt a little melancholy, but she could understand a little where he's coming from. She did expect that some members of the Church would feel extraneous here. They were entirely from a different background. The Cadets were there to save Endymion's citizens. But the Church? They existed to eliminate all heresies and the Lord's enemies. "I'm a little bit of the same. I get along well with the others. But, I've always felt... a bit out of place... I've always wondered if I could actually be considered a Cadet..."

Her question certainly caught him off guard, the surprise on his face was clear, neither he ever considered that Maria might feel lonely. Not only she was a local but he was also under the impression she was quite popular among cadets. He sympathized with her, maybe even felt some faint sense of companionship towards her... She definitely was the person he was closest to in Endymion, even if that wasn't a lot.


That was a hard question to answer, they definitely got along with each other, it just felt a bit too early to consider her a friend. Even if he had interest in becoming buddies with the Nun.

"Well. Either way, it doesn't change that we're comrades. I'm just glad you're here," She smiled gently at his answer. It wasn't for very long that they met and they got along well. But again, it wasn't for very long. Looking back, everything was just a part of business so far when it came to the Cadets... and the Church. But at least, he wasn't so insufferable like Lisa to his credit. She glanced at the clock on the wall. It was getting late and the Cadet was sure he'll need his rest. "It's late. I'll leave you be then, Brother. Take it easy. But please remember to send the sheets to the laundry room tomorrow. Father Jorge is a bit of a stickler for cleanliness."

She began to retrieve the metallic box with her and began to retreat through the door. At least Maria gave him a wave of farewell before disappearing through the threshold as the door began to close behind her.

"We are, yeah." Out of all the cadets, he understood her the better. Not that it meant much, people were complicated and hard to deal with. He tried his best to socialize but at times he can't bring himself to care, after all he lives for the combat. "I'll try... hopefully the hangover won't stop me."

The knight would weakly wave back at the nun before he slowly began to fall asleep in his bed.
