Hmmm.... could he heave the chest back? No, what if something attacked him? If he wanted to get at what was inside... Well, there were simple ways of getting past it. The lock WAS made of crude iron. But he didn't want to try destroying it. Times like this, he wished he had access to his armor's weapons systems again, Sparagarmos in particular could have easily cut it open. Welp. Only one thing left to do then. Try and find the key (Assuming the natives didn't take it with them, that is.) Dutifully, he began to search. If that failed, he'd try to bring it back.
Action::
Searching for the key.

After a thorough search of the inside of the tent, it becomes obvious that the key is not here. However, sounds have started to come from outside.

"Uh-oh. Did the natives send some people to go back to the camp?" he thought. Elpis got the feeling that these guys might not be as friendly. Sure, tribal people could be peaceful, but they also had warriors, more than likely. In his experience, staying too long might attract unwanted attention. He had the feeling he didn't want to know the answer. But what to do? He couldn't find the key to the chest, and by this point, he was down to 3 options (other than doing nothing).
One, stick around trying to hunt for the key, and take his chances. Two, Try to take the chest back with him, and take his chances. Three, just run, report back to Junction what he had found, and that would be that. Of course, that also meant taking his chances with the sounds, but this option was the least likely to stick around long enough to find out just what it was.
He decided that Option 3 was best, as there were no nearby corpses to take if this ended fatally. Also, there was no telling what was in the chest. For all he knew. there could be anything, and frankly, unless it was some priceless relic, it wasn't worth it. He had known too many dead adventurers in similar situations that had thought otherwise. The fact that they are dead should say volumes about what kind of ideas they had.
As Elpis made his hasty retreat from the camp, a figure stood in his direct path.
Blocking Elpis's path, illuminating the slightly darkened path stood what looked to be a local fauna, however it's sharp gaze appeared far more intelligent then that of normal beast.
"Are you yet another invader from the lands of metal?"
The beast spoke, not with words but thoughts, as if reaching into Elpis's mind itself. With this however... Something else within Elpis seemed to click... whatever it was had been pulled out by the best, as if it was trying to draw out the truth.

What in the... It was a creature known as a llama, and apparently, a telepathic one. Interesting. "I... am from there, yes. But I would not call myself an invader. Merely an explorer." he said.
Very well. He was going to have to fight. His combat software in the suit booted up. The tentatcles, Touching the Moon, appeared. He was ready to fight.
"This will hurt." he said calmly before firing a burst of light from his helmet at the creature.

Hm. It hadn't died. This could be a problem. Regardless, it once again took aim and fired.
