Dude, Where's My Moped? [For Uravity+CatEars]

Just as quickly as he had disappeared into the night, a certain teenager with silver hair reemerges into the crowd. For the sake of at least making an effort to not be detected right away, he has removed the grey hoodie and blue hat that were on his person during the chase and placed them in the bag strapped to his back. On a scale of one to ten, his first encounter with the infamous 'Sticky Fingers' had been exceptionally peculiar. Mostly because his casual outing with Noriko to find a certain something had landed him in a place that he is actually unfamiliar with.

After a bit of wandering a few deadends, Paak finds himself back on the main road.. with no moped in sight. His first thought is to shoot a text message directly to Noriko. "Yo-yo, Nori-ko! Where ya' at? Sorry about leaving you behind!" Several frowning emojis are added to the text before its sent. But right as he hits the send button after neglecting to pay attention to his surroundings, he bumps right into someone whose frame seems to be a lot softer than his own.

Korie has been standing around the same place for quite a while now–for no particular reason, really. Well, not an important one at least. She was actually just waiting for her mother to arrive to pick her up. ..From buying art supplies. God, that was one hell of a nerdy reason to be wasting her night out on - but it's not like she was actually bothered by it. Only slightly disappointed that there wasn't much else going on for her today. ..And generally speaking, this week.

And yet here she was - displeased but not allowing any of her feelings to be shown on her expression, which was mostly dull, for those paying attention. She was staring down at her phone, looking through random images of paintings–not her's, of course.
At the very moment Korie found something that captured her attention-- something, no. Someone bumped into her. A person. It caused the teen to drop her phone aside and nearly trip! And if that wasn't enough... The screen met the ground first, with a shattering sound promising that it wasn't a pleasant fall for the device.

A single, deep breath is taken in as the brunette stares down at what she assumed to be her broken phone - and then she makes a sharp turn to face the culprit responsible for this, "Really?! You can't even look where you're walking?" The much obvious upset teen nearly screamed, a look of disdain very apparent in her visage.
Korie is pissed.

Given several minutes, Kenneth will notice that he's been sent a message from Noriko that'll fill his entire screen. It's an immense series of zeros and ones-- what's she doing? The technician is actually speaking in binary code, believe it or not! Perhaps it's her native tongue, when she's entered a distressed state. Well, that's exactly what it is.

Following that, she'd send her location in verbatim. Clicking said address would for-sure send him to the navigation app, which would send him directly to her. The wild Noriko is stationed atop the moped, rapidly typing on her phone. She's hunched over, almost curled into a ball in the hopes of becoming invisible to the public eye.

Two cat-like eyes widen immediately in response to the sound of a phone screen cracking. Paak looks between the girl that he bumped into and her shattered personal device, trying desperately to think of something to say! All of the time that went into customizing her cellular device.. Her contacts..The background image AND the lockscreen image, which aren't always the same thing.. And the pictures of memories from the past until now -- he double-takes to check out her form at this point, taking a half-second to imagine the pictures in his mind. Sooner than later, he snaps out of the trance and bows deeply to give her an apology.

"..I am so, so, sorry" He begins, practically doubling over with his bow. As he does so, his vision averts to his own phone in a sneaky manner, noticing the binary and eventually the location that comes from it. His mind wanders to think about how much quid he has on his person, then the fact that he had just gotten out of trouble comes back into his mind. Getting caught up for this now is out of the question.

As he rises up, a final apology is given, and a look implying how genuinely sorry he is about his next action litters his face. "Yeesh. I'll make it up to you sometime, but I can't afford to have attention on me right now, Lady!" And with that, the teen pivots on a heel and takes off into the busy crowd, bobbing and weaving his way through on a path to get to Noriko. Due to the thickness of the human traffic, it might actually be fairly easy for the girl to follow, if she is so inclined.

"..You've got to be kidding me," Korie said, just as Kenneth begins to apologize. As if that helps. That's not going to buy her a new phone, is it? The brunette stares daggers at the boy in front of her, as if she's about to lash out and actually try to hit him in a second. Truthfully? She had considered it. She snaps her head to the side, clearly irratiated he even allowed himself to glance at -his- own phone. All she could think was, 'Really?'

..And then he thought he's getting away? Like this? Hell no. Her own hand launches just about when he attempts to escape, in order to stop him of course! ..Though she fails, missing him by a mere inch.

Hell. No.

Korie picked her broken, and most likely ruined phone from the ground and placed it within her bag, and then? Then she began to run. Luckily for her, she was wearing flats-- so catching up wouldn't be -that- difficult. She isn't sure where the boy is headed, she also doesn't know where she herself is headed - but hey, Korie does know she has no plans to stop before putting this guy in his place.

Noriko's currently hunched over while sitting atop the seat of the moped. Fingers continue to rapidly type at her phone. The moped is parked on the curb near a busy sidewalk, which the technician is sure to avoid. It'll be a struggle to avoid it and attempt to remain invisible, but the technomancer is up to the challenge.

She'll soon notice the arrival of Kenneth, to which her eyes will widen! Immediate relief floods her features. Noriko attempts to get off of the moped, almost stumbling into the ground. Racing for the grey-haired failure of an escort, she aims to coil her arms around him..! "Zero-one-one-on-- I-I mean, You're back! I thought you died! -I- could've died out here! You can't get kidnapped again!"

Kenneth seems extremely happy to see Noriko as well! He is actually running directly towards her with a pained smile on his face! But rather than go for a hug, the teen aims to execute a swim-move and avoid one of her arms. He tries to wrap her other arm around his shoulder and scoop her up, keeping up pace to continue his dash to the moped.

"Hey! We should really get going, y'know? This part of town is super lame! And uh.." He looks down at his wrist, tapping it a few times. "And yeah! It's waaaay passed my bedtime! Sorry for leaving you. Ready to go?!" He speaks in a rushed tone, his eyes darting to and fro as he looks around for the keys to his moped.

Who knows how long he has before the girl with the broken phone shows up?!
