The team was back together. Good. Now maybe they could finish this one quicker and stick together better this time around. Not seeming to wallow in the miss from earlier, the older Cadet would keep an eye on his team’s condition as his eyes took inventory of each person with him. He would take note of the strike dealt to Jackie, but the guy still stood and seemed still ready to fight. No worries there, yet. His eyes would shift to the enemy as he gave a calm command to his persona. “Again.” “On it boss!” Was the cackle he got back in turn as his persona moved forward again to attack.

“....” The Cadet would gather his strength and move forward to attack the enemy directly.

It worked out better than expected once the skeletal demon was demolished for good. Little blessings in such small things when nothing horrible came out of it. Joseph gave an apologetic look at the rest of his comrades, barring Takeru. It gave a bad taste in his mouth that something like this ever happened. But  "Sorry about that. Won't happen again. I'll take point like last time."

He was concise and short to the point. Apologetic or not, these Cadets were on a job. Joseph eyed another group of demons ahead.

With the battle resolved, Jackie felt a deep sense of satisfaction. At least one of the enemies had been dealt with. It would have been nice to be able to pick off the other skeleton too, he supposed he'd have to take whatever he could get. While he was still worried about the other one, he couldn't do much else at the moment. It was probably long gone, considering how tough that last enemy had been, and how long it had taken to defeat. He gave a small 'sigh' of relief, before composing himself. "Well...that could have gone a little bit better, but no-one died! So you know...silver linings." He offered, with a shrug. While he still wasn't totally behind killing things, Demons were...different. Logic told him, deep down, that if they were let go they'd go kill someone else, eventually. Still, it was just a bit...off-putting. It was what he was built for, though. Which meant he had to force down his nervousness, put on a brave face, and throw the entirety of his strange, Wind-Related powers, at whatever Demons he came across while on patrol. He started moving. "Um...I mean, since no-one died it's probably okay but...we should pay more attention in the future. Not everyone can be as well built as me..." With that cryptic comment dropped, Jackie went quiet. He never really had much to say between rounds of combat. And it was easier to prepare himself for the next fight, anyway.

Strangely, he felt a bit more powerful after that last one. Or at least, it seemed like he had a new Power to play with. Maybe he could expand his use in combat from just making things mildly windy. He gave an aside glance to his bag. Well, there was THAT too. Customizing the damn thing had been hell, but...it was an option too. If things needed to be shot. He'd have to try it out at some point, but at the moment, he'd stick to using his Persona, unless absolutely required. It was easier, and it was probably better to get used to the thing quickly. He was made for it, after all...After a moment of walking, he saw another enemy. "Right" He noted, more seriously, following Joseph. Time for more combat...more strength, which meant he'd be able to protect the city...that's all that mattered. He adjusted his sunglasses, tightened his grip on his weapon, and steeled his nerves once more. Time for the execution.

It was strange how collected the Cadet was. Despite all the misses and what had happened in the few moments they had been here, outside of a small flare of agitation, the older male did not feel joy at the situation. He was just neutral as he watched the demon go down before his eyes drifted to the group as folk spoke. He’d first turn his attention to Joseph as he apologized for what had occurred. “No need to apologize. Just be more aware as Jackie has said,” the Cadet would say to the young man. Then looking at the others with them, he would give a faint smile. “All in all. Good job. Let’s work a bit more in unison next round and keep each other’s back,” he would say before becoming serious once more and nodding at Joseph, giving the other permission to take point again. The older Cadet would stay still just long enough to become the tail end of the group once more. Moving forward, he would follow the group being very quiet as he kept a lookout for things and simply listened to the chat that went around.

He was not a big chatter box. Nor was he one to make comments to sugar coat or try to boost the situation up onto a happier plain. He disciplined where discipline was needed to be dealt and he gave credit where credit was due. He was good at this sort of thing and compartmentalizing things to stay focus. What he was not so good at was the idle chat part. He could think of only one person he could easily chat with, but said person was not here now nor was something he could afford to focus on if he wanted to keep himself and the others alive.

Making a mental note for later, the Cadet would take note of Jackie’s strange comment, his eyes narrowing as he wondered exactly what the guy meant by “built.” Was he talking about training or did he mean that in a literal fashion? The kid did seem more or less normal and seemed to even carry nerves like a human, so what was that suppose to mean? Hmm. Perhaps he would ask him to further explain at a later time. That aside, the Cadet would keep walking until he saw what looked like another demon ahead. This one seemed to hold a different power than the last one. As he heard Joseph's words, the Cadet would nod.
