Patrolling 2: The Electric Boogaloo (Jackie/Haru/Takeru)

The night felt remarkably crisp today. Probably due to how cold it felt to be walking around at this time. It was strange, winter wasn't coming yet. But he absentmindedly disregarded that observation. There was work to be done tonight and he was anxious to finish it. With arms crossed and foot tapping in a slow rhythm, Joseph waited for his team to arrive.

The young man that approached the one waiting would be seem unfamiliar to those who may have met him before. His usual dark hair was gone replaced by white hair now and his business like clothing he typically wore was now down to something more casual - jeans, a black shirt, and a white jacket that seemed much too heavy for the weather, but one the man wore with ease anyway. The only thing that remained the same about this young man was the earrings in his ears, that serious expression he wore, and those strange mismatched eyes of his. This young man was indeed the popular artist known as Faces, though his look was radically different than before. Perhaps this was a sign of a change in the young man or maybe he just did it because he was tired of having the same look. It was a mystery and one the young man would not clear up as he approached the young man waiting there.

Haru would take in the guy as he settled a respectful distance away from him. The guy was unfamiliar to him, so maybe he was a new recruit. Either way, the observation would only last a second before the idol, blinked and looked off to the side to observe the scenery; however, he spoke despite his behavior. “You’re a new face to me. What’s your name?” he would say in a soft and calm voice that lacked the sweetness that some would take advantage of. No. His tone while non-hostile still carried an air of danger to it should someone push him the wrong way. Still, he wasn’t looking to harm anyone that was suppose to gather here. No he’d save that for something else. In any case, he’d let the question stay there as he waited with the other for the rest of the folk that were suppose to gather to come.

Jackie had set off after making sure he had everything. They had far more supplies this time, but also more team members. While there was certainly safety in numbers, this presented an issue of having to choice when items were used, and on who, if there was to be any chance of success. Upon reaching the agreed upon area, Jackie took notice of Joseph, and someone who he'd never seen before. Still, not one to be senselessly rude, he nervously waived with one hand as he joined the group. "Uh...hey. Jackie reporting. I made a stop for an extra supply quickly...b-but I see I'm still not the last person here." He frowned, looking around as if expecting their fourth team member to be some sort of Ninja. While he tended to fancy a good gun himself, Ninjas were pretty cool too, he supposed. Still, he seemed to realize that wasn't the case after a minute. "...How late is this guy?" He mumbled to himself, shaking his head.

"O-oh, I'm sorry, I didn't ask your name!" Jackie seemed to suddenly realize, with a wince. He lowered his sunglasses for a moment, as if checking to see if this person's hair REALLY was white. Maybe his optics were just screwing up...

Takeru arrived, late.
"I'm so sorry!" he said.
He had gotten caught up in a chain of events not mentioned here that led to him being late by accident.
Of course, he knew just how bad this looked, and he bowed nervously, too embarrassed to talk much more.

He lounged around as he waited for his team. Ideally the rest of the group would be here soon. But if they weren't, it didn't hurt to look at the local news on his phone. It turned out he didn't have to do it with someone finally arriving to the scene. This 'guy' who arrived gave him a weird vibe to him and there was something familiar about him, but Joseph just couldn't quite put his finger on it. Even if he didn't know who this guy was, it looked like he was of a higher rank than the recruit. "Joseph Kerrigan. A new recruit, a pleasure to meet you."


He offered a hand to shake before noticing and acknowledging Jackie's presence with a nod. Though he just couldn't say the same with Takeru. The kid looked like a bumbling idiot compared to the ASSW. "We ought to get started. I can see a few demons near us. Let's hit them up?"

Jackie shook his head. "Don't worry about it too hard. Make it up in battle...that's all that'll really matter tonight." Jackie composed himself, before speaking to the final member of their group. He then followed the others in, his soulbound weapon, a deceptively simple bag, appearing in his right hand. "Alright, lets make sure this goes smoothly, everybody." He offered, before
moving to engage the enemy.

"Acknowedged. Takeru Kagemaru, ready for battle." he said, nodding.

The idol’s strange eyes would slide over to look at the young man he had spoken to as he gave a name before moving to hold his hand out for a hand shake. Not exactly against such things, the idol would shift in his spot and move to take the other’s hand in firm, yet gentle grip. “The pleasure is mine,” the idol would begin and then stepping back he was about to give his name when a third arrived. Taking in the appearance of the new comer, the idol would remain calm and serious as he gave a light nod to the other. “Extra supplies. It is good to know you came well prepared,” the idol would tell Jackie before shifting his gaze so he could see both of them. He didn’t seemed to mind being stared at. “My name is Hatsuharu, but you have my permission to call me Hatsu if that is easier. In any case, I am your commanding officer tonight and pretty much here to make sure you stay alive and return home safely," the idol would pause giving the two with him a small smile perhaps trying to break the tense air around him. He wasn’t anything to be afraid of despite his behavior. Well how effective that was, the man would not know as his smile faded as he looked around the area for their last member. The memo did say four no?  

Just as this thought crossed his mind and he heard a mumble from Jackie, the fourth would arrive and almost immediately the idol would give a frown of disapproval. Some of the frown was because of lateness, yes, but the biggest reason he was frowning was because he knew the guy….and the last time they met well things didn’t go very smoothly. And now it seems he was one of the Cadets. Hmph. Well then, let’s see if he could prove his worth then.

“Takeru, be aware of the time the next around lest you get left behind,” the man would say giving the other a stern look before his eyes turned to Joseph. “Mmm. You take point then Joseph and I’ll bring up the rear. Let’s stay together now,” the Cadet would say as they took off into the place before them. As they walked, he would hear Jackie trying to cheer up Takeru, but he would offer no comfort to guy and when the enemies came? Well.

“Yes. Let’s clean them up people,” the Cadet would say as he joined the other two, but noticed one did not take his position. Steely eyes would turn to Takeru and narrow.

“Take a position and fight Cadet.” he would say to the other currently not seeming to wield a weapon or exhibiting power.

“...” The idol would lock his eyes on the enemy and after seeing what they were, he would calmly summon his soul bound to his hand. Then leaving his spot he would attempt to strike the skeleton on the left.

Takers didn't panic. Not on the surface, anyways.
"This. Is. Not. Sparta!" he said, making a joke to disguise the fact that he was currently terrified. Horrible jokes like that kept him going when he was scared out of his wits.
The panic kept him focused.
