Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? The Answer may Surprise You! (Joseph/Cadets)

Jackie tended to be fine doing the Grocery Shopping himself. Normally he couldn't screw it up all that badly, but this time was supposedly a special case. How was he supposed to know Fish Sticks wasn't supposed to be a joke? Boss had gone out of his way to EXPLAIN the joke to him. Obviously he needed to update his definitions...again. Still, he had been forced out of the shop for the night, and was now just...walking around Suzie-Q. Specifically the same block over, and over again. To anyone else, it might seem suspicious, but honestly, he just had nothing better to do.

It wasn't particularly that he enjoyed pacing, or that he was thinking of anything, he just...had nothing. There were drawbacks to being a robot, and one of them was that he could never really find actual enjoyment in anything for himself. Emulating was easy, he had been doing that for a little over eight months but....putting it into practice was incredibly difficult. More so than he could have imagined.

He stopped to stare up at the night sky, finally just leaning against a sign post outside One in the Chamber. Which...actually just looked way more suspicious. Regardless of the fact he had the keys, and could really just let himself back in whenever he wanted.

Plans never come to complete fruition.  

Joseph wasted more time than he would've liked. He hated doing that. But when life gave you lemons, you had to make the most out of it. He had his nap and wanted more free time. But his brothers needled him to head down to Suzie Q to pick up some electronic device from a local store. Problem was he barely visited Suzie Q and lacked any familiarity with the part of Endymion. The GPS app worked just fine until battery shorted out, it was out of juice. Just his damn luck.  

He tried to look around for anything that may tip him off, but no good. In this sea of bars, clubs, and stages, nothing mattered. Where was he going to find that shop?

"Hey," he called out to the plain nobody who was walking around near him. Joseph noticed the expensive-looking sunglasses before asking, "You know where I can find the Guitar Wings?"

Such a dumb name for a shop. If he were the owner, the entire establishment burned down in the next pico-second.

Immediately, Jackie went into human mode. "Guitar Wings?" He partially asked. "Um...I don't know." He admitted. It sounded vaguely familiar, but he couldn't place it. Given it was Suzie-Q, it was probably around SOMEWHERE. "I-I mean this sounds like the right place, but I don't remember a place like that..." Dammit, it was probably deleted last time he emptied his recycling bin. All the 'useless' info tended to be. He adjusted his sunglasses slightly. Expensive they were...surprisingly, given how cheap his creator tended to be about most things. Not that it was his place to comment, though.

Though, he felt as though he should remember a place named THAT weirdly. Guitar Wings...bah, his files said Guitars didn't have ANYTHING like wings!

Joseph was not pleased by this news. He already had the certainty that this store was in this area. At first he doubted it and was under the belief that his brother's memory had one inconvenient faulty moment. But the GPS application earlier verified that dubious claims. Nothing what this boy said provided any new information. His displeasure aside, he remained courteous and calm. But deep inside Kerrigan grew impatient and desired to finish this task as soon as possible. So he prodded Jackie further, "(Fucking useless, shit) Really? Okay, then do you know anyone who knows their way around in these parts? Or do you have any idea where I can find electrical stores are usually around?"

Even if this guy wasn't that useful, he should at least be more familiar with this place than Joseph was. But he wasn't that hopeful knowing his routine disappointing luck.

"Oh...um, yeah, there are tons of electronic stores around here. A lot of them are just up the street and to the right...honestly there aren't a lot of stores down this direction." Jackie rubbed his arm, feeling that the person was starting to get a bit annoyed with him. It was fair, he supposed. It was his fault he couldn't remember, after all. He should have payed more attention to what files he was deleting. In the future it could be something more important. "Sorry..." Well, he was sort of sorry. Not very. It wouldn't take this person very long at all to find it himself if he continued searching while paying attention. Not that he'd ever say something like that. Maybe.

This meeting wasn't a total waste after all. Now Joseph had a general idea where to go, but if the desired store wasn't present, he always could try asking someone there for directions anyway. Memories of that GPS map seemingly aligned with what the boy supplied with whatever meager help he had. He was about to turn in order to begin leaving. But he stopped to say his last words to Jackie, "Thanks for the help. And don't be (you should be)."


Joseph began to leave Jackie behind. Unless the latter had any other issues to address. But Kerrigan had only so much patience for today.

Jackie was torn on what to do next. Curiosity dictated he follow, but not coming off like a creeper told him to just stay where he was. He didn't really get to know the person, and honestly he was somewhat glad. There was SOMETHING about him that made Jackie feel...well, somewhat useless. He gave his arm a rub, before shaking his head. Whatever, if that was all the person had to talk to him about, then he wasn't going to follow them. The information honestly seemed a bit pointless to remember...THAT he wouldn't mind wiping the next time he deleted a few things. With a tiny huff, he went back into One in The Chamber. If he was capable of actually holding a grudge, he'd wish the person never found their store.
