Appearance: Niki have a very ordinary appearence. He have a small build, being around 4’7 (“Hey, i’m a growing boy!”) and 64lb. Small dark eyes and his light brown hair are other traits of his appearence. He’s always wearing pretty much the same thing: a dark blue hoodie, black gym shorts and a dirty and old sneaker. It doesn’t matter if it’s winter or sun, he’s always wearing pretty much the same thing.
Alternate Appearance: With his persona, his appearence doesn’t change drastically, only his clothing. His mask is shaped as a dinosaur skull with its mouth open. It’s a big mask, that covers a great part of his face: the head of the dinosaur covers from the top of his head until his nose, and the skull’s jaw is positioned below his chin. He goes shirtless and barefeet.
Personality: Niki is a smart and very mature kid despite his age. He always try to find the rational side of things and appear to be very cold during the serious moments, don’t considering the others feelings. However, in casual moments that he hates thinking too much: he rather stay ignorant than see how dirty everything is. He's also a very patient guy and shows the courage to do almost everything, and never back down, even if he's getting into a dangerous or stupid thing. He's an easy guy to manipulate.
He always looks like a little distant when he talks or interacts with other people, and responds really bad to any signal of love or caring directioned to him: he tries to end it soon as possible, showing some discomfort. Catching his attention may seem a though task, but soon as you talk or show him something he has curiosity about or likes, he will stop ignoring you, but he's always observing everyone.
But although you can have really mature conversations with him, he’s still a 12 years old kid. At a lot of moments he can be really stubborn and childish, as well showing that he likes a lot of childlike things.

The Background
|
History: Niki is an orphan since he was very little: he doesn’t even remember his parents. However, it’s not like this left an emotional scar in him: he always treated it very naturally, never showing any kind of sadness or angry for his past.
Since he was very young Niki seemed different from the other kids. He learned to read and write at a very young age, was always a step ahead from the others. This ended up leading him to start school at age of four, and finished middle school at the age of 9. But no high school accepted him due to his young age. Niki didn’t really got upset with this: he understood why he had to “take a break” on studying.
However, this lead him into having nothing to do during the day. His curiosity leaded him to start wandering around the streets, where he met a homeless man. After some talking, the two of them became friends. Every day Niki brought his lunch to share with the homeless man and a shogi board so they could play all day. By the homeless man, Niki met some criminals who were not much older than him, and started to spend time with them during the nights. Hearing their stories about how the society excluded them and made them go to the life of crime, Niki started believing that he also was left out of society: he was different from the other kids, so he couldn’t live like them.
Now with 10 and rejected again at high school, Niki started to spend more and more time with the criminals and turned out to start working for them. But he didn’t steal or became an assassin, Niki always refused to directly harm another. He started auxiling some arms and drugs dealers. It was perfect for him: Niki would directly harm other person and it was something that his intelligence would come handy. “Shogi” became his nickname. He soon entrered at the police’s radar because his orphanage reported that he left and didn’t went back for days. It wasn’t hard for them to deduce that he was involved with arms dealing, and it was pretty obviously after a talk with him, but they couldn’t prove it. The police knows that he’s involved but not only Niki is too young to be charged, they don’t have a single proof. Niki is always so careful that he never leaves a trait behind. Everything that the police could do was taking him to spend the night at the station for violating the curfew, since he always runned away when took back to the orphanage, and try to put some sense in his head.
Niki is now 12 and was finally accepted into High School, although he rarely shows up. He’s still working as an arms dealer and don’t seem like he pretend to change it.

| Most of your application appears to be alright, but there are a few things that need addressing.
You've selected a floating strength and a floating weakness for him, but these aren't something that should be filled out during character creation. For now, you should just leave them blank. Other than that, you might be interested in knowing that you can take strengths that affect your social qualities, although this isn't required if you don't want to. As an example, you could have the intelligence strength you took for him have the mechanical effect of making him start at rank 2 Intelligence, or you could make it so you gain points toward it at double the rate of other characters. Keep in mind you'd have to take a social quality related weakness to balance this out though.
Please specify the length of your soulbound weapon. You don't have to do this for the side-arm, just the knife.
Last but perhaps most important is your history. While you are free to make whatever kind of character you'd like within the boundaries of reason, it does seem a bit unrealistic for a twelve-year-old child to be so directly involved in the criminal underworld, so I'd strongly recommend raising his age at least a little or removing/downplaying his black market connections. As for the part about him being brought into police custody, that's definitely something that needs to be changed in my opinion. Endymion is a city where the word of the queen has reigned supreme ever since the Eternal Divide and the laws are enforced very strictly due to the nature of its society and government. In a place where the authorities have practically no limits so long as what they're doing is deemed necessary, Nikishiro being let go when the police are so set on arresting him doesn't make much sense even when one factors in his status as a child, so please revise that accordingly.
Make the necessary changes and I'll be more than happy to approve Niki. | |

I didn't meant that he had deep connections with the underworld, sorry if it looked like that. He's meant work more like a "delivery boy". Someone sells and someone buys, it would be unnecessary dangerous for the guy who sells to also deliver the things, it would be more easy for the police make an ambush, for example. That's where Niki enters the scene. He acts like an intermediary between who buys and who sells, so he carry messages between those peoples, make the "deliveries" (arms, drugs and those kind of things) and use his intelligence to not leave any trait behind. He's not more than a delivery boy, something that normally criminals prefer kids or young people to do, because they are less like to draw the police attention. It's not like he provides or sell things on his own. That's what i meant. Is that ok or do you want me to change? If it's ok, i will edit the story to explain more about his role too. - Azami wrote:
