She wouldn't say anything, although she was clearly pleased that they wouldn't be abandoning Maria, and beyond that she was looking forward to the chance to show off. It looked like the recruit from the debriefing would be tagging along with them, so she made a mental note to keep a close eye on his skills and performance. I've proven myself already and I'm gonna do it again tonight, so don't waste your time worrying about me."Cecilia spoke those words, but the glare she shot Gio would probably be enough on its own right to get her point across. She didn't have anything against her comrade and she appreciated his concern, but aside from not wanting to be a burden on her team's mind, the simple fact of the matter was that what he was saying was an insult to her pride as a Cadet. He probably didn't intend for it to be taken that way, but Cecilia was in no mood to have her skill questioned tonight... especially not by one of the people who let Alice slip free. She was sure that they did everything they could and there was no way in hell she was going to bring up a tragedy like that just to prove her point, but that didn't mean it reeked of hypocrisy any less. That was tu quoque though. Whether she believed them or not, Cecilia couldn't dismiss his concerns as entirely baseless. In the context of merely moving from point A to point B they were irrelevant, and when it came to pure talent she wasn't slacking either, but there was one major complication that held her back which refused to concede to sheer denial alone. The mission had been going spectacularly so far, but the man's doubts caused her own to reemerge in the back of her mind like they so often tended to one way or another. The pink-haired Cadet clutched her forehead and attempted to suppress the concerns that were overtaking her, though it wouldn't prove enough as the deafening sound of white noise consumed the world around her and the yellow glow in her eyes flickered on and off in a fashion reminiscent of a broken streetlight. Cecilia knew what Svalinn was telling her; nevertheless, she refused to listen and would continue to ignore it in favor of the certainty that her current perspective offered.
