Throwing Down The Gauntlet [Case File, Cadets]

Class Zero was ultimately empty in the evening. Perhaps some personnel might be hanging around these grounds for their entire devotion to their work. But tonight it was going to be a little different as a gauntlet has been thrown down before the faces of several Cadets. Tonight was no doubt going to be a tumultuous clash of sorts. Not out of the chaotic act of lethal combat, but rather as a conflict of wills and of capacity as a Cadet. The doors to the building's Training Area was wide open. A gale of scornful laughter could be heard.


"Oh man, I really didn't think the Lamecia's can be comedians.
Sheesh, you really want to do this?
You're going to hit the curb at terminal velocity."


Alex immediately sniggered at her severe scowl. But Maria looked tired of the exchange while attired in her battle uniform, she didn't waste much time to get ready. If anything, she just wanted this night to be over.

Even though Athena expected Class 0 to be empty she still found the almost complete lack of bystanders disturbing, it was a facility meant to house lots of people, without them it just looked like an empty stage and the young model would swear she could feel the eyes of an unseen audience staring at her. However, as she approached the training area her paranoia gave it's place to a much more realistic worry she had to fight princess Lisa.

Athena couldn't care about the brat's well being, even the fact that she dared to insult her made the girl's blood boil though had it been anyone else Athena would have scoff at the challenge and carry on with her duties but she was challenged by the princess and her code of etiquette inclined to answer. Athena was not a fighter, and wasn't planning to become one, sure she would fight the occasional demon but she couldn't picture herself standing her ground alone against a powerful adversary the last time this happened she almost got herself killed. After taking a deep breath the model entered the training area.


Athena made sure to sound hurt as if she actually though the spoiled shit as friend or someone worthy of respect. "It pains me that you feel this way and I believe such things should be done in times of peace and not when terrorists run free in our streets spreading chaos... but I digress your pride is certainly important and you are a prestigious member of our royal family therefore I'm willing to believe there is wisdom behind that challenge. I must warn you though I am not a warrior, at least not like my colleague Maria." Even though she didn't like paying compliments to that zealot she would rather watch Lisa get her ass kicked by Maria than actually do the fighting herself.

It turned out that everyone was here tonight as they turned their heads to acknowledge Athena's arrival. Alex rolled his eyes at what Athena had to say, it all sounded like a bunch of bullshit. After hearing what her fellow Cadet had to say, Lisa responded with a scoff, "I can't believe this... someone like you is a Class Two? Everyone within the ranks should be prepared and be able for battle. This is precisely why tonight's so important."

"You're wrong," Maria interjected firmly with a hand on her hip. She sounded disappointed, but not surprised of the Princess' behavior, "She still had a role and use for my team during the Dragon's Maw. It sounds like you haven't learned quite yet from that morning, Lisa."

Lisa darted a venomous glare at the composed nun as Alex smirked at the remark. It was a deliberate jab at her, but one that Maria didn't enjoy using at all. The Princess needed to be taught a lesson sooner or later, or someone was going to get hurt badly at this rate. It was a miracle that the team sent to capture Alice came back without any casualties, but next time they might not be as lucky. Many of these newer Cadets didn't have a trained background like Maria, Shiina, or even Lisa. Maria felt like she owed it to them to try to get them out in one piece at least. After all, they had families and friends to come back to.

"The only most important and relevant lesson out of all of this is that only strength matters. I'll have you learn what that truly means now that all of us are here," she said in a low determined tone. The Cadet began to unsheathe her blade and swung it to the side as she summoned Power, "I'll take on all of you right now!"

Maria shook her head, but began to pick up Andraste, getting it ready for a battle. Her young senior muttered with a smirk as he readied his own weapon for battle, "This is gonna be good..."

Lisa, Level 10:

NPC Tensions for Athena:

Athena was glad that Lisa's attempts to insult her were countered by Maria, perhaps the nun wasn't so bad after all, certainly better than the royal brat. However no matter the advice Lisa decided to carry on her silly challenge, Athena bit her tongue to avoid giving her a piece of her mind then again she needed to appear as polite as possible.

"Surely you realize that brute strength has it's uses but it isn't the only weapon we should use against demon and terrorists, wits and tactics are equally important.
Perhaps we should demonstrate this tonight." She said fighting the need to pull Lisa's hair and call her whore while beating her to floor. Athena was almost twice the bitch's side and her little bird arms didn't look like they could do much, it was a real pity persona powers were infused with the power of one's personality. Without a hesitation Athena summoned her persona.


"Alex, Maria let's not overdo it...." She said in a caring manner as she stared at Lisa "Having to clean Lisa's remains from the walls will be bad for business" she added later quietly she didn't want the others to hear but at the very least it felt better.
