Angst and Petulance, Late Night Phone Calls [Flat 413][Pen]

"Yeah, you should sleep too." Pendleton nodded. "I'll let you know if I find out anything after school, and I won't mention any names...I think the most important thing to do is avoid suspicion in general though...who knows what kind of trouble we could get into?" Pendleton sighed. He then hung up, before going to flop back onto his bed. He was doing a lot for someone who was pretty much a complete stranger, but he couldn't just ditch her...he'd have to talk to Lui, and see if he could get him to help.

As he stared at his roof through blurry eyes, he began to wonder what they'd actually find at the end of their investigation. Hopefully whatever it was would just be nothing, but if an actual demon was involved...he'd have to set up an email to automatically send to his parents, unless he cancelled it. With a shake of his head, he finally managed to fall into a restless sleep.

Esra lay for a while more in the almost dark, silent except for her breathing and heartbeat. Tomorrow she would skip the gym, skip baseball, just skip everything. Try to work out what was going on and stop the pressing feeling that she was going insane. It wouldn't be so long before she would have to get up, she closed her eyes and drifted off.
