The night seemed ever pleasant for Touko. Yet, it was far too peaceful for her tastes as usual. There was always something happening beneath everyone's noses, even hers. Frustratingly enough, she had to stay out of such business with her role as a Velvet Attendant. What awful timing, it would have been better if she had awakened to her own Persona. But she couldn't quite say no to the Room's master. Those blood-shot eyes and that hook-nosed had an enigmatic charm to it for her.
The cafe she hung out at was rather quiet. Not many stayed up late in the first place. It was her favorite establishment, mostly because it allowed some level of smoking. It was such a pain to find one where it allowed to indulge in her habit.
She sat at an empty booth all on her own, idly watching the ashes start to form on the tip of the cigarette and watched it drop into the ceramic ashtray.
"Hmm..."

Gabe had actually just entered his favorite coffee shop in order to enjoy a quick cup of coffee before heading out to do the rest of tonights activities. By tonights activities, Gabe kind of motions over to the precious terrorist situation that he has landed himself in, even though he doesn't seem to be complaining as much, he's just weary and figured that it would be a long night. Though, as he walked in, he stood by a table that had a familiar redhead. "Ahh, Miss touko, what an unexpected surprise. Though, not really now i guess, since we're more connected than before. " The red string of being someones guest, how far does it travel.
Mind if i join? I am quite the coffee drinker myself."

The redhead leaned back into her seat, staring at the mundane stucco ceiling above her. Everything seemed so uniform and orderly. Not that it was an entirely bad thing, but the predictable can be so boring after dwelling in it for so long. She had considered leaving right after getting her white ceramic cup of coffee. But it seemed that she was certainly getting an interesting bit of luck of someone very familiar.
"Evening, Gabriel. Feel free, I was feeling quite bored anyway," she smiled at the young man and gestured him to sit across her in the booth, "What brings you here?"

What brings me here? Ahhh that seems to be the question now....right?" Gabe would take out his deck of playing cards and start shuffling. It's been a while since he did this, and he didn't want his skills to suffer in any kind of way. "This is my favorite cafe to relax in, so i find it rather surprising to find you here. Just a little down time before i have to attend to my other obligations. You know what i'm talking about. It was pretty much known that Gabe came here, due to the coffee was placed on the table without him even ordering it. "I'm surprised they let you leave the room sometimes, not like the others, right?

She nodded at his response, understanding where he came from. Yes, the Persona Users still had to make their own obligations to finish their own "journey". But it didn't mean that they couldn't stop to enjoy a nice cup of coffee from time to time. She idly noticed the cards leaving his pockets and being played around between his hands. It isn't exactly an uncommon habit, but from the woman's observations, he awfully seemed to be a card player of sorts. Perhaps he was a risk-taker or maybe he just liked to shuffle. Touko always had an awful habit of over-speculating people's tendencies and their backgrounds.
"Cards, Gabriel? I take it you like to gamble?" the redhead idly asked from a faint bit of curiosity. Her eyes focused on his moving hands and the shuffling cards as she took another drag from the cancer stick. She found herself smiling when the man noted she tended to be the one hanging about outside of the Velvet Room.
"Well. The Master has been pretty good to hard and loyal workers. But it's not like we're constrained by any tangible force or obligation, so as long as we don't get too involved in your journey. That and I have my own services set up in this realm. It'd be an awful pain to move my office, you saw what a mess it is."

Yes, in fact I do like to gamble quite a bit. I work at a casino called lucky clover, so there’s always that t take into account. Being a dealer is a big job, you know? Life is chance, there is a chance for everything, never fate. Fate is man’s acceptance of no sort of change occurring that’s revolved around a particular outcome, in my opinion. Due to that, I choose to believe in something else. I choose to believe in the uncertainty. “ Gabe would then smile. “I also know a few tricks, I’m just good worth my hands, and like cards, you know?”
Gabe would laugh at the idea of Touko moving the office. “Yes, I’m not too sure the moving companies in the city could account for supernatural forces coverage if something were to go wrong in the middle of the move. It’s probably best the keep the office where it is, but how about I help you clean up sometime?” Gabe would offer his help, and then something occurred to him. “Get too involved in our journey in what way?

"Uncertainty, huh? How fitting, given your current journey, I believe that best suits you. So that's how you see Fate, huh? Sounds fun." Touko mused with a small smile, "I see. Sounds absolutely fun. Maybe I could try my luck there at one point."
A gambler as a Guest, quite the interesting one. The Velvet Attendant never had a guest with this kind of background before. This sounded positively amusing. What kind of choices and risks will this one make? Touko chuckled at his offer, "You sure you want to help out? I do have a lot of things you probably don't want to touch anyway."
She looked back at the array of mannequins that took up nearly the whole basement downstairs. Not even just those, she remembered the wide array of other equipment and paraphernalia that would just simply weird out the boy.
"Oh you know. Fighting in your own battles. That kind of thing is the jist of it. I can give you advice and my services, but ultimately the decisions you make is your own. What exactly your journey is, I'm not supposed to say. But it should be obvious now that you've made your first steps by now."

"It's not always fun, i can name at least one time that when i decided to try my hand at something, it started to go south just a bit. " Gabe would say with a small smile, not necessarily losing it. "Even in unfavorable situations, being brave enough to play the game instead of playing it safe, things can turn around almost instantly. "About the cleaning thing, Gabe simply nodded his head. "Well, you help me with what you do, did you want this to just be a one-way relationship? Even if its every once in a while, i'll do what i can, the smallest things and whatnot. "He will ty to help, that much is tue.
I see, so you can't get too involved and whatnot. Frankly, you might know whats ahead for me, but can't say. IT's ok though, all apart of the surprise right?

"Aye, that's the thrill of it. That very uncertainty of failure or success tends to keep many very interested when things are at risk," Touko agreed, "Well, as far as our relationship goes, that's on you. I ultimately am supposed to provide you my service anyway. We seem to be getting along well enough, so either works for me. I'd be willing to go an extra mile if you give me some information on what's happening around this city during your journey."
While her role as a Velvet Attendant had limited her activities in one way, she could still rely on Guests to provide her what she wanted. After all, they were the very people getting involved with the trial taking place right now.
Touko smiled, "Something among those lines indeed. You are an interesting guest, so I have high expectations from you, Gabriel."

"Thats fine by me, no secrets then. Well. I'll tell you as much as i can as i'm able to if i think that it would be beneficial for you to know. Don't know how much you can monitor me or anything of the sort. Gabe would say passively as he took a sip of the coffee. "What would you be interested in knowing about in particular? That way, i would have some sort of filter as to what useless information to you and what's not, you know? Gabe then smiled at the compliment. "Well, thank you, i lived a... good life... i guess .." Gabe laughed at his own jest as he placed the deck on the table. "Want to play a game? Its a fortune telling game that i took an interest in for a while. The top card you pick tells your fortune for today. Interesting right?

"That's up to you. Any information on the city and the current situation at large is fine with me. But I'll take anything interesting," Touko replied as started to squish the cigarette against the ash tray. "Mmn, sure. I don't mind. Relying the cards to choose my fate, eh? How quaint."
She leaned back and then started to pick on a card.

Oh, something interesting huh......." When she picked the card, Gabe took a look at it and smiled. "The four of hearts, so this it for today, eh? Travel, change of home or business. Well..." Gabe would say as he put the card away and started to shuffle. "Maybe thats referring to what happened recently, you probably just returned to your old job, and now you are in the business of attending to people like me. That could be it, and as for traveling..." Gabe would then laugh a bit. I dont suppose traveling to you nearest coffee shop applies, right?" Who knew for sure?" Oh, i do have something interesting to tell you, i don't think i ever recall telling you about the girl with green hair, did i? I met her five years ago..but.... ahh... you have to promise me to keep it between us. I dont tell anyone this. Touko, can i trust you?"

"Hm, how fitting," she remarked as she folded her hands before her onto the table, "Nah, I doubt it. But I guess it would be funnily mundane."
A lot of it fit her current description, not too surprising. Touko had traveled quite a lot since leaving the Velvet Room for one time. But his way of fortune-telling seemed fairly accurate as simple as it was. How curious.
"You won't have to worry, dear. Maintaining confidentiality is another part of my services. My lips are sealed. And what about this "green-haired girl"?"

"Well, i agreed to play a game with her, that evening. If i didn't, she said she would hunt me later that night, as well as probably endanger my family. It got messy, but i'm stuck in a strange game of Russian roulette, i don't even know how to play, and i think something worse than dying happens if i lose. You see..." Gabe continued to speed in a low tone and pointed at his head. "I don't know, but... something's wrong with me touku... that night... i saw her... and... she tried to make me do something i didnt want to do... and... it took all my will power to fight it.. but... then you kno.. you was there... those demons... im the reason why they left... that was my punishment. " Gabe let it sink in for a moment.

Touko intently listened to what Gabriel had to say. It sounded all strange. A gambler that was afraid to play a game? He didn't exactly seem to be the type to easily turn a round down. She wondered what kind of person this green-haired girl was. Something about it was awfully strange. Indeed, she was starting to remember. That Pyro Jack had once mentioned of a "weird lady" back then. Could that have been her?
"...I see. Can you still feel her presence right now, Gabriel?"
This is an interesting bit of information here. So there is some kind of tie with the Eternal Divide. She started to wonder what kind of tie that this girl had with that feline-like boy. "How did you survive that night, then? Have you already awakened to your potential back then?"
