"Meow..." Little Murphy looked curiously into Batilde's eyes as the latter sat down in front of the feline. It had almost become routine for her at this point, meeting the little cat here while she waited for her bus back to East Eden. "Aren't you just the cutest little thing, Murphy?" Batilde scratched behind the little furball's ear, to which the cat responded by purring happily. Cats were easier to understand than humans. At least, most of the time. She didn't have to worry about overstepping invisible boundaries or saying something unintentionally rude when cats were quite clear and obvious when you did something that was not okay in their book. With other people, things weren't so cut and dry. That's not to say that Batilde didn't try, because she most certainly did, but... more often than not, when Batilde left a conversation, she couldn't help but feel as if she had said or done something weird or mean. With animals, you didn't have to worry about social cues, or formalities. Cat needed attention? They got attention. Simple. Easy. Why couldn't mankind be like that?

So why was she even thinking about this in the first place? Well, it was because of Lui, and well... her suspicions regarding him. he wasn't a bad guy by any means, but... she had never dealt with guys like him before. He was kind of interested in her, from what she managed to gather, and had just played along with Sumi, since she had no idea how to react or deal with it... she just kinda... left him to think. He was a cool guy, for sure. But was she interested in him at all? A small bit of her wanted to say yes, and yet, another, larger part was still very unsure. Maybe it was best to talk to someone more experienced on the matter?

Completely lost in thought, Batilde wouldn't even notice if someone snuck up behind her at this point, if only to say hello.

The day was a beautiful day, so beautiful out that in fact that aria took her hoodie off and tied it around her waist something she does very rarely. She found herself in a place that she wasn't familiar with but, it looked so pretty that she loved it enough to wander around taking pictures of things. Just happy to be outside in the sun was enough for her at this point.

Then she saw it, the cutest little gray kitten and a cute girl sitting next to it petting it. A cute noise came out of aria when she saw that cute she took a picture of it before she started to walk over to the pair.

"Is this kitty yours, she soooo cute" aria said the girl sitting next to her a reaching out to pet the kitty

Batilde looked up when she heard someone adressing her from behind. "Hm? Oh, no. He's not mine." She replied, smiling lightly towards the new girl, moving aside a bit so the cat could see who she was talking to. "This is Murphy. Someone around the area owns him, and he hangs around here quite a bit. Probably because of the nice students who see him from time to time." The little cat stretched a little bit before standing upright again, looking curiously at Aria. "I see him almost daily now. I think he knows I come by here every afternoon. Cats are quite clever and observant." And with that, Batilde stood up. "Oh, but where are my manners right? I'm Batilde, the transfer student in class 3-C." Stretching out her right hand, offering the girl a handshake as she smiled warmly towards the newcomer. "What's your name?"

"Aria... My names aria" She said happily to the new girl in front of her "I actually just rejoin school, I've been out for a few years now and decide to get it over with" she said with a laugh. She said kitty under her breath as she reached out to pet the cat

"Well it's good that you see him every day, I'm sure he appreciates it," she in her normal cheerful voice "So I'm a second year so I guess we won't be in the same class but I'm sure we'll she each other around, so where are were you headed".

"Nice to meet you, Aria!" Batulde replied, returning the smile towards the new girl. "Oh, you just returned? I see. Vacation or something?" She inquired, watching the girl reach out to pet little Murphy. The cat purred loudly, satisfied, rubbing his little head against the palm of Aria's hand.

"Yeah. I'm quite happy too. He makes for some pretty good company when I'm alone here, much like today." Batilde replied, smiling gently towards Aria and the cat. "Where I'm going? I was planning on stopping by a café on my way home. There's this paticular place in Vista Square that I'm very fond of." Murphy looked curiously at the two girls as they kept conversing, not really understanding what was being said, but really, would something like this be of interest to a cat anyway?

"I was just out for a walk, not doing anything in particular..." Aria started to trail off watching something across the street. She wasn't sure what it was but it caught her eye. The cute kitty in front of her drew her back into reality rubbing against her hand. She ruffled his little head and stood back up brushing off her shorts. Doing a little scan of the street to see if she could see whatever was there.

"Strange....Anyway, a cafe?, I'd love to come along I don't many good ones in the area" Aria said happily looking at Bat, this girl seemed nice aria thought to herself. It'd be nice to have a friend in a higher grade as well. I'll see where this takes us. She thought smiling at Batilde.

"Ah, I see. On your way home, I take it?" Batilde asked wioth a light smile, standing up. Murphy looked up at her, slightly confused. The girl's eyes would then trail over to and examine the times tables, occasionally giving her watch a quick glance. "The bus is coming in about 2 minutes." She stated calmly before sitting down next to Aria again. "Oh! Lovely!" Batilde was quite happy to see the girl accept her proposal so quickly. It made things much easier on her end.
