| As the last zombie crumbled into ash from the savage lightning strike, Lui took a knee, his breathing becoming labored. Shirokishi moved to stand at Lui's side, his head bowed to look down at the exhausted hero.
"Never fear, Lui. The power you have sought for so long has been granted to you because of your mental strength. Know that I will always be at your side, ready to guide and defend. There will be others in need of your help. Do as you will. Farewell..."
As Shirokishi disappeared in a plume of blue lights and his rapier faded into the night, Lui moved to remove his mask, watching the armor retract into his mask as it slid off his face and popped out of existence with a white spark. He got back onto his feet and thanked his savior.
"T-thanks, madam. That was a close one. Name's Lui. So, can I ask what that was all about? What happened to me? You seem to be able to summon this "Persona" thing, but why does it act so... off with you? Has using these things always been so strenuous? Feels like my body's on fire... with a bit of frostbite."
"Mind if you come with me for a bit...? There's a lot more you should know..."
"Um, sure. But can I ask for your-?"
Before he could finish, the biker woman expelled her weapon and dragged him by his arm, further into the woods. While he would have protested, he knew that this person had something important to discuss with him. He walked with them to avoid dragging his heels, making sure his phone was still in his pocket.
"Man, what a night... And it isn't even over yet."
--Lui has awoken and left the area--

| Notre Dame gave a sigh of relief as the lightningbolt struck down their last foe. "Phew... You handled yourself pretty well there. Nice job." The lady patted Lui on the back, a smile present on her face, even though the other could not see it. "That, Lui... I'm afraid I can't really answer you... I'm still looking for answers myself..." She said in a slightly downtrodden tone, biting her lip under the helm. "All I really know is that it's tied to your body and soul alike. And as for the strenous part, yes, it's quite harsh, but your body will adapt to it after a few times of using it. Your power though... it felt so different from my own... Astrape barely obeys me at all, while yours didn't even hesitate to help out... Why is that, I wonder?" Was there something wrong with her persona? It certainly didn't feel the same as Lui's or that other girl's persona earlier... they had this warmth to them that Astrape lacked. Bronte, the other facet of this spirit, wasn't that much better. In fact, she was probably even worse. It was like trying to control a panicking horse. It went wherever it wanted to with you having zero say in where those hooves took you. "Mind if you come with me for a bit...? There's a lot more you should know..." And without further delay, the woman dispelled her soulbound, and grabbed Lui by the arm, and dragged him away from the scene and deeper into the forest... to a camping-site where she had met that mysterious metal dog.EXIT | |
