Lui's twin sister and younger sister of the deceased Kei Saito, Sumi attends Class B of Seven Stars Academy. A member of the cheerleading team the previous year, she decided to take a break to focus on her studies. After the events of the Divide, Sumi passionately dedicates her life to becoming a member of Class Zero and join the Cadet forces to protect families from the tragedy she faced. This goal and her outgoing attitude makes her a popular girl among the students.

Personality wise, Sumi is a high-energy, adventurous girl who keeps in tune with the popular trends of society. Her positive aura can lighten the mood of most moody individuals, and her flirty attitude naturally draws guys to her. However, Sumi has little filter on her speech, often saying what she's thinking regardless of whoever is present. Despite her flirty attitude, Sumi is very hesitant to enter a relationship, and the stresses of both school, family, and her past can bring her down when they become too heavy to bear. Nevertheless, she will always be there for her friends and put her life on the line for what she truly believes is right.

Sumi can be frequently found around Suzie Q, usually either on the dance floor with her multitude of friends or browsing the shops for the latest fashion accessories. She can also be found lounging around the house in Little Tokyo every now and then.
