Lost and found. (Wolfie)

She watched the aside they were having about a phone with a small smile. She wanted to have friends like that. At the same time she was afraid if she got too close she'd be pulled away again, just like with her sister. She shuddered a bit at the thought before shrugging it off. Waiting patiently for their conversation to end she shortly had their attention again.

"E-eh?" she asked "No... it wasn't that cool. Father was always busy with his robots. It was hard for him to make time for my younger sister." she admitted. "She was often off in boarding school while I helped around the lab." she explained. "The lab wasn't bad but a lot of his projects I'm not allowed to talk about. Especially the ones I saw that I wasn't allowed to help with." she sighed.

"Sis and I didn't get along either... she never got to see Father." she explained. "She treated me like I was a stranger for the longest time." she glanced over to the others. "When we finally started to get along I had to come here." She summed up the recent past, leaving out all mention of demons and the robots designed to fight them.

Another short aside of them talking about compases now before a phone was produced and an app showed north. "Yes." she nodded. "That is Magnetic North." she acknowledged that the app was fairly accurate. "I'm assuming that works off GPS. a magnetic compass would be much more accurate so long as you aren't in a magnetic field." she explained. Well.... She did grow up with a scientist. Of course she's gonna be a nerd.

"Awesome! I'll be sure to find some time to come over then! When 'bouts do you finish your shift? I dunno if I'll be able to get over here again today. But maybe? Depends how annoyed Kay is at me when I get back for how long I've taken, hehe." The girl would giggle to herself. Kay wouldn't actually be that mad at her, or at least she hoped she wouldn't... I mean she never gave an exact time she had to be back by so it wasn't like she was running on a deadline! It was more an excuse for if something else popped up that took her attention and left her with no time. She was sure 8D would want to do something when she got home.

"Oh they were a scientist of robots? That's really cool!" Callie would say, her usual excited and happy self returning as she mentioned the scientists were for robots and not the other thing she was thinking of. It put her mind at rest a little. "Sounds like quite the interesting life though. I bet'cha got to see lots of cool things there!" Callie would say with a nod, knowing from first hand experience what it was like to live in a house with a scientist. J always had something super weird or interesting he was working on in the basement. Not that he often let her go in there, but it was always cool when he did!

"Aww. That's a shame... At least you two got on eventually, right? You said you had a phone at your home so you could call her up to talk!" The girl would suggest innocently. Again she was aware what it was like having to go without a brother or sister after getting so used to their company. Well, not exactly. But Callie pretty much considered 8D her robo-bro! And she found it soooo hard getting used to him not being around for the year he had to go off to do other things. She was so glad that he was back now! "How come you had to come out to Endy?" She'd then question with a slight tilt of her head.

"Whad'ya mean Zav! I totally listen when she tries to teach me stuff. I just never heard of north and south before..." She'd say with a sheepish smile as she peered at the phone interested by this so called compass. "Ohhh... It's a direction not a place? Why didn't you tell me that in the first place!" The girl would protest before giggling. "So north is that way?" She'd say, looking at the direction the red arrow of the compass was pointing before raising up her arm to then point in the direction it was. "Then yes! If you know the school is north of here then it must be that way! Zavie is super smart like that."

She paused. "I was supposed to be enrolled in the school but they don't seem to have my paperwork yet." she stated, a half truth, she was supposed to attend the school but she wasn't sure why she wasn't yet enrolled. She was sent here the same reason she would be sent anywhere, because of demon presence. But she was given so little information on why she was here and that worried her.

She couldn't say anything about her true reason for being here. "I think my Father wanted me to go to this school more than any of the ones in Russia. I don't know why." she explained. She hoped that would be enough to get the subject settled. "You both seem busy, now that I have a general direction I think I can get home okay. Thank you." she said before giving a little bow of the head.

Awesome! That gave the girl something else to look forward to for tomorrow, she was sure she'd run into Zavie at some point tomorrow anyway but it was cool to have a plan in place to be excited about now! "Cool! I'll try to get here before its too late tomorrow so we get plenty'a time to talk about stuff!" The young vixen would say with a happy nod of her head. She was glad that Zavie was so willing to spend time with her, some people that she'd got attached to before in the past got kinda annoyed at her when she tried to hang around them all the time... Yet Zavie never seemed to mind! He'd even be willing to help her learn some new things which was awesome!

"I've overheard a lot of people talk about the fact the schools in Endy are pretty good!" She'd reply to Alex, a lot of people talked about all sorts of things on the streets of Endy and with her sensitive hearing it was kinda hard not to eavesdrop sometimes and for some reason school did tend to be a popular topic between younger people... Which she never understood... School was boring! "Glad we could be of help!" Callie would giggle slightly as she bowed back to the girl and waved. "I hope ya find your way there fast!"

Alexandra gave a gracious head bow before smiling softly. They seemed almost like siblings, it was heartwarming. "I will be on my way, thank you for your help Zavie and Callie. It was a pleasure." she spoke more confidently, likely because of the formalities. She then turned and headed north. Disappearing around a corner after a short distance.

"Baiiii! It was nice meeting ya!" The girl would call back, waving Alex off as she started to head off in the direction they'd given her. Callie would watch her walk off up to the point where she rounded a corner before turning back to face Zavie with a look of confusion of her face. She didn't understand something about all that, something that her head made her feel didn't really make sense to the girl. It was an odd feeling that she hadn't felt in a long, long time.

"Zavie..." She'd begin, biting her bottom lip in an attempt to figure out how to say what she wanted to but still keep it making sense without her ending up in one of her non-stoppable rants that usually would start. She'd felt really uncomfortable at first when Alex mentioned scientists, it sparked a fear in the back of the girls mind that she despite affecting her greatly she couldn't fully remember what it was that actually caused it at all. It confused her even more since she knew that J was a scientist... A-and he didn't freak her out? W-what was the difference? And why when she mentioned a scientist of robots did it all suddenly seem okay again? "Z-zavie, why di---"

"Cals, please... Don't let this bother you, it's fine. There's nothing to worry about." Terra's voice would play within the girls mind in an oddly stern tone that what Callie was used to hearing when Terra talked to her. He protected her from all the bad things in the world, whether it be demons, horrible people, emotional pain and even her memories where needed. It wasn't that he enjoyed doing it, or even that he fully knew how much of a great affect he truly had on his host and how he manipulated her. It was just a part of the shadow he was, and all he wanted was to keep Callie happy.

Callie would sigh and look down at her feet, the more she thought about it the more it just confused her. It wasn't like Terra to completely dismiss a topic entirely, usually if something was upsetting the girl even slightly he'd say something to make the situation seem better or show a way of why there was an up side or why it wasn't as bad as it seemed. She didn't know what to do... She was curious and wanted to just ask Zavie for his advice on the subject... Yet she also didn't want to ignore Terra when he told her not to either. Instead she'd simply clutch the bag of baked goods close to her chest and lose herself in thought until Zavie said something to break her out of it.

"Y-yeah... It's nothing like that... It's just..." Callie would close her eyes and wince slightly as Terra tried his best to keep his hold on the girls mind and stop her from talking about anything that made her upset. She'd go silent again for the moment as she carried on thinking of what she could even do to get what she wanted. It was a thought that had never come up before... What she wanted, it wasn't so much a case of that most of the time, usually it was just choose the thing that makes you happy. Which usually Terra always gave his own input into. Yet as much as Terra was good at his job of keeping the girl happy, she still wanted to be able to share certain things with Zavie... It's what she wanted.

"T-terra... Please..." She'd begin, talking internally with her shadow once again. "You know I care about you, you've always been there and I trust you." She'd pause briefly to try to find the right words to say, she had never disagreed with Terra before. It was strange, she had never needed to do so in the past. There was never anything that he didn't approve of, or anything that wasn't his idea in the first place.

As she spoke to him, Terra could feel himself getting more and more upset about this whole situation, why did this have to happen now? That stupid girl had to spark something didn't she. He'd audibly sigh in the girls mind before having trouble himself knowing how to respond to his host. She'd never ignored him like this before, and the worry of it was loosening the grip he had on the girl for a short while. "But... Cals, it's not imp---"

"Well it is to me!.. I-I care loads about you Terra, y-you know I do... And I'm sorry... B-but I care about Zavie too! A-and if you wont tell me what I'm feeling, why I feel so confused and scared... Then I-I'm asking Zavie instead!" The girl would sniffle and finally take her gaze off of the ground to look back up at Zavie, even if just momentarily, Terra had lost his control over the girls emotional state from her determined desire to speak her mind. Zavie would be met with a rare sight of tears running down the girls cheeks after he shouted about not being afraid of her...

"H-huh...?" The girl would sniffle, wiping the tears from her eyes as she looked at Zavie confused. "W-what are you talking about Zavie...?" She'd question with a light tilt of her head. Her head was a mess right now, she couldn't really think straight or make sense of why he'd suddenly shout that. Did she miss something whilst lost in thought with Terra...? The young vixen would shake her head as she tried to collect her thoughts as Zavie spoke again.

"Thank you Zavie..." The girl would reply, a genuine smile of her own slightly forming on her face through her teary eyes. "I-I just don't... Don't know why I got so scared... I-its confusing and I just don't understand how I'm feeling. I-I d-don't even know why I'm feeling this way... Why Terra got mad at me... Why my eyes are wet..." She'd say, wiping another tear from her eye whilst her small smile grew the slightest amount. Even before he could give his reply, or even before she properly explained what she meant. Just getting something, anything off her chest to someone she trusts made her feel better.

As much as he wanted to keep protesting and stop Cals from doing anything she shouldn't, Terra would eventually give up and let whatever was to come from this happen. He'd always been proud of himself to keep the girl happy through the majority of her life, it was like a big accomplishment for him. Aside from everything else he was worried about for this whole thing, he was also kinda jealous of how the boy could make Callie feel so happy as well... It was bad enough to deal with 8D doing it...

Callie would look down at Zavie's hands that had just grabbed hold of her own and looked at them as she listened to him talk. So being scared was something other people felt a lot too...? Was it weird that she didn't feel this way more often? It felt so unnatural to her. But Zavie was right, this feeling of being scared was just a thought. A thought that she wasn't quite sure where it came from, but regardless of why it was there it was still just a thought. And thoughts come and go all the time, there wasn't really many thoughts the girl could think of that actually stayed within her mind constantly. The only true things she always thought of were her friends and family.

The girl would slowly raise her eyes to look back to Zavie. "Thoughts are just thoughts... You're right. T-they don't matter in the end. Nothing matters as long as you have someone there to protect you from any bad stuff." Her smile would brighten slightly more than before as the girl held the boys hand. Callie still didn't know how to actually explain her fear that caused all this to begin with, but at this point it didn't matter what the fear may've been, she knew she could trust Zavie into putting her shattered mind at ease. She was so glad to have someone like Zavie to express herself like this with... Terra would always back off from the topic or try to change it into something else without real explanation and as much as Callie loved 8D, she didn't like making him get sad by not being happy around him. "Scary thoughts come and go... But true friends like you I want to keep forever. We'll always keep each other safe, 'k-kay? I-I wanna be there for you too!" The young vixen would say, nodding her head back in return.

Callie would nod again at Zavies comment on their demon weapons, he was definitely right about most of it. "Y-yeah... Terra likes to keep watch on me, make sure I'm happy and safe... He was trying to stop me talking to you now about fears cause he didn't want me to get upset..." Her voice would trail off for a moment as she mentally thanked Terra for everything he'd ever done for her and apologizing again for ignoring him this one time. She just hoped he understood that this was important enough this one time. "They're like little guardians, huh?" She'd say, trying to express her usual teasing tone. "But sometimes bad stuffs gotta happen, and the more people looking out for you the better."

"Heh..." Maybe he had been selfish... Terra had always just wanted to be the soul reason for Callie's happiness. The soul protector who'd keep her from harm and sadness. It was his life now, it had been for years. He cared about the girl and he wasn't sure if he'd ever be able to live a life without her again. Plus he knew the risks of them being fused, if she did die... So would he... He couldn't let that happen, he wanted to be strong for her... Yet despite all of that, his little girl wasn't as little as when they'd first met. She'd grown so much even if she didn't often show it. And she was right, the more help they had the more likely they were to survive... A-and if this boy was someone who'd bring his girl happiness... He'd just have to learn to share.

"Even if they were sad tears..." The girl would give the best smile she could through her teary face before leaning forward and wrapping her free hand around Zavie's shoulders, dropping the bag of baked goods on the ground as she did so. "You've made them happy tears..."

The girl would nod, she loved having so many close friends that wanted to protect her and that she wanted to protect in return. They were special, they made her feel special. She'd come a long way from the nights she used to spend sleeping out in the allies with just a teddy bear to keep her company. "And as long as we're together, nothing bad will ever happen!" She'd truly believe that in a sense, she knew there were still countless things that could always go wrong just like there always was. But nothing ever seemed as bad when you had a friend alongside for the ride.

"Yeah. Both me and Terra are learning new things all the time, or even learning that old ways weren't as good as you thought they were." The girl would agree, both herself and Terra had changed a fair bit from when they first met over eight years ago now. Life was a constant development of changes and experiences that bring all kindsa new things to life! The very fact Terra came back into her life recently was a perfect example of this. "Sometimes Terra just wants everything to be perfect, but I think mistakes have to happen sometimes. Otherwise where's the fun in it all? It'd be like winning a race without having to run."

"Welp. Guess you still got things to teach me as well hidden away in that brain of yours, eh? Nehehe." Terra would tease the girl internally as she went to hug Zavie. He didn't like to admit that she was right, but she had a point. He just hoped that they'd make their mistakes where it wouldn't cause too much of an issue and learn from it before the time really comes where they need to know exactly what to do.

At first Callie wouldn't respond to what Zavie said as she hugged him, she'd simply keep hugging him for a moment as she let the last of her stress and worries leave her body. "I'm happy your happy about being happy." The girl would giggle light heartedly as she finished her hug, took a step back and smiled. "O-oh!" The girl would suddenly remember the absence of the bag in her hands and look down at the ground to see the bag of baked good lying off to the side of the pair. She'd quickly pick it back up and look over everything inside, luckily nothing fell out again and everything seemed fine... If not a little squashed. "Hehe, I'm such a klutz."
