Persona Name: Sisyphus
Persona Type: Initial Persona
Persona's Arcana: The Fool
Owner: Aisling Ahana
Persona Appearance: Where Aisling is a very thin, lithe woman, her persona-Sisyphus-Is anything but. Standing at a massive ten feet and eleven inches tall, weighing in at well over five hundred pounds of pure muscle. Covered almost head to toe in armor, Sisyphus is a very imposing figure, looking very little like a human, and more like a monstrous gathering of different types of metal, with a long chain wrapped around and fused to his left hand.
This chain itself is around twenty feet long, and at the end of it, it is connected to something that is highly reminiscent of Sisyphus's legend: The very boulder that he was forced to roll up a hill for all eternity. This is his weapon, and the main source of all damage that he deals aligned to his element of earth.
Looking at the armor covering this humanoid figure, it seems to be made of various different materials, being silver, gold, black, white, and many other colors, rusted in some places, and cracked in others, but not broken. As a whole, Sisyphus is a very broad, very strong persona, armored from head to toe, doomed to constantly drag around the boulder, rather than roll it up a hill. However, this in and of itself makes Sisyphus a much more useful persona.
Persona Background: Sisyphus was the son of King Aeolus of Thessaly and Enarete. He was the founder and first king of Ephyra. He was the father of Glaucus, Ornytion, Almus, and Thersander by the nymph Merope, the brother of Salmoneus, and the grandfather of Bellerophon through Glaucus. King Sisyphus promoted navigation and commerce but was avaricious and deceitful. He also killed travellers and guests, a violation of xenia, which fell under Zeus's domain. He took pleasure in these killings because they allowed him to maintain his iron-fisted rule.
Sisyphus and his brother Salmoneus were known to hate each other, and Sisyphus consulted with the Oracle of Delphi on just how to kill Salmoneus without incurring any severe consequences for himself. From Homer onward, Sisyphus was famed as the craftiest of men. He seduced Salmoneus's daughter Tyro in one of his plots to kill Salmoneus, only for Tyro to slay the children she bore by him when she discovered that Sisyphus was planning on eventually using them to dethrone her father.
King Sisyphus also betrayed one of Zeus' secrets by revealing the whereabouts of Aegina to her father in return for causing a spring to flow on the Corinthian acropolis.
Zeus then ordered Thanatos, Death, to chain King Sisyphus down below in Tartarus. Sisyphus was curious as to why Hermes, whose job it was to guide souls to the Underworld, had not appeared on this occasion. King Sisyphus slyly asked Thanatos to demonstrate how the chains worked.
As Thanatos was granting him his wish, Sisyphus seized the opportunity and trapped Thanatos in the chains instead. Once Thanatos was bound by the strong chains, no one died on earth. This caused an uproar especially for Ares (who was annoyed that his battles had lost their fun because his opponents would not die), and so he intervened. The exasperated Ares freed Thanatos and turned King Sisyphus over to Thanatos. As a punishment for his trickery, King Sisyphus was made to endlessly roll a huge boulder up a steep hill.
The maddening nature of the punishment was reserved for King Sisyphus due to his hubristic belief that his cleverness surpassed that of Zeus himself. Zeus accordingly displayed his own cleverness by enchanting the boulder into rolling away from King Sisyphus before he reached the top, which ended up consigning Sisyphus to an eternity of useless efforts and unending frustration. Thus it came to pass that pointless or interminable activities are sometimes described as Sisyphean.

Fusion Attack:
Fusion Attack Name: Sisyphus's Punishment
Persona Name: Sisyphus
Type of Damage: Terra
Description: As a whole, Aisling and Sisyphus's Fusion attack could be described as somewhat ironic. Utilizing Sisyphus's power over earth, Aisling lifts both hands over her head, creating multiple large boulders before slamming her arms down in the direction of her opponents, sending each boulder spiraling down, dealing Tier 3 levels of damage to all opponents.
Soul Skill Name: Sisyphean Chain
Persona Name: Sisyphus
Tier: Tier 1
Cost: 5 SP
Type of Damage: N/A
Description: Upon paying the cost to activate this ability, Aisling thrusts an empty hand outwards towards an opponent, sending a chain made of pure stone out of her hand to wrap around a single opponent, binding them in place, forcing them to skip their next turn. However, this ability can only be used once per combat scenario, so it must be used wisely.
