Current Events
Updated: 20/07/2020

**ALERT!** After a rather eventful evening at Maksim's Party, three teenagers seems to have gone missing. The doors of Vault Olympia have been breached due to a to this day unknown assailant, who sabotaged the doors locking systems, allowing demons to make entry. Thanks to the excellent defensive capabilities of the Vault's Security drones, the Attack was put to an end, and the invading monsters fled to the outside. Right now, the Doors of Vault Olympia are currently open, allowing any survivors of the fall to seek shelter within the Vault's safe halls. What Vault Security officials think of this development remains unclear as the Chief of Police and Security of Olympia refused to leave a comment. This is Rianara, of Olympia news, signing out.

The site is entering a new era as our team of mods works tirelessly on updating old and obsolete information threads and links. Over the Summer, we aim to make many changes to the forum, including writing a comprehensive beginners' guide to help new players accommodate to the combat and other rp systems in place here.

Opening Theme
Starring: Takeru Kagemaru
Work Thread:
The Frostice League.

Takeru woke up the next morning reenergized. After last night, he had managed to snag quite a bit of sleep from what he could of the remaining night, and this time, he finally had the inspiration he needed.
Well, it came from last night, and some weird dream he had starring Masako. Which has certain implications that Takeru decided not to dwell on. So the second he got done eating breakfast that morning, he freshened himself up quickly and hurried right back up to his room.
He proceeded to sit down at his desk, his personal writing studio, then he fired up his music player, put on some headphones, pulled out one of many notebooks kept inside a drawer, some pencils and erasers, then opened up the notebook, new, and wrote on the very first page at the top:
The Frostice League.

PostSubject: Re: Takeru's Work Thread No.1 (Done!): The Frostice League.   Takeru's Work Thread No.1 (Done!): The Frostice League. EmptyFri Oct 07, 2016 7:52 pm

Once he had got himself situated, he began to write down the premise of it all, the setting of the story. The words came like a geyser, and he wrote like he was born to do it, like he had been doing it all his life. (He did always have a way with words, but in this case, we are referring to the idea he had).
So his pencil began to scrawl out the idea in a quick, precise print, written in his own unique style.
Not quite as good as the other novel he was writing, but it was a nice start.

Please note that from here on out, the description of the Premise is what he's writing. Also, remember that this is all just a story created by him, and that none of it is real... maybe/hopefully. Who knows. Any resemblance to characters here to people you know, dead or alive, is purely coincidental (for the most part), and/or proves you have some strange friends.

This is Endymion, but not the one you know. This is a world where the skies are forever a red twilight color, weird creatures walk the earth, and evil rules the ruins of what's left of the city as reality itself is in a flux state in both space and time within the city. Humanity has been even further reduced down, the result of demons running rampant.
The result of a second Eternal Divide.

Where the castle of the queen once was, there is now a giant pyramid above, the fortress of the evil being who started it all, Illumina, and the source of a giant crack in reality that, left unchecked, will annihilate it all. It is from there the "Weirdness waves" start at, an (un)natural phenomena that, each time, causes reality itself to warp, the source of the constant fluctuations. The weirdness, thankfully, has yet to escape Endymion, being kept in check via unknown means, but those same protections have left Endymion cut off from the outside world.

But not all is lost.
The cadets still exist, the guardians of the remaining humans in Endymion, but there is a twist: Many of those cadets are also demons. Demons that chose not to harm humans, but protect them, for one reason or another, are nearly half the remaining cadets. These demons grouped together, making sub-groups of cadet-demons, and some are the reasons why human life there hasn't died out completely in Endymion over the 3 weeks since the Second Divide.
Amongst these many groups, there is one particular group of note:
The Frostice League.
A team dedicated to putting Illumina on ice for good, they are one of the brightest teams in this ruined world, a shining hope in the darkness of despair.
They are the ones who shall save Endymion, and with it, quite possibly the world itself.

OOC: For anyone curious as to just what Takeru is listening to as he writes all of this:

At that point, he noticed the first page was filled on the front side, so he turned to the back side, and started to write again from there, this time, titling it:
The Heroes of the Frostice League:
Below it, he began to write down each character, their origins, and their powers, going onto the next page when needed.

Note: Again, from here on out, this is once again sheer fiction composed by Takeru. Please don't hold it against him. Thank you.

Frost Five: All Frosts grew up with the legend of the Rainbow Frost, who gained his powers from an almighty rainbow syrup, who was said to be invincible to all but almighty energy, as anything else would simply bounce off him harmlessly due to the power of the syrup. Said to be a protector of all life, it was one of the most powerful demons to ever exist in the demon world. However, it was thought to be just that, even amongst demons: A legend.
That is, until said legend came out of hiding during the second divide.
It fought bravely, but due to it's age, and the fact that it had been far too long since it had gone into combat, and as a result, he was significantly weaker, and he was defeated.
However, five Jack Frosts found Rainbow Frost on the verge of death, and he, at that moment, had one last idea. Calling out to them, and asked them to be his successors, for he would give them each a part of his power, for he thought that, what he alone could not do, surely five could do- and more.
These Jack Frosts, so in awe of their hero, said yes. And so, he made them swear a solemn oath to protect all life, even human life, and then gave them each a portion of his power before dying. The Five Frosts, now changed by the syrup, renamed themselves based on the color part of the rainbow syrup they had been imbued with: Thus, they became Strawberry, Blue Hawaiian, Milky, Lemon, and Melon Frosts. But as one force, they needed a name:
It didn't take them long to think of one.
The Frost Five.
Now, the Frost Five protect all life from those who seek to extinguish it, in honor of their hero.

Powers: Like all frosts, the Frost Five have the power to manipulate ice, and together, the ability to reflect all but almighty energy. Separately, however, they each have the ability to reflect and manipulate certain things (Strawberry, for example, can reflect any physical blow, no matter how strong, as well as nullify the effect of any flame, and he can also use immense physical power in a fight).

Raiho: Once a simple demon named Hee-Ho kun, something happened during the Second Divide that caused him to take up the mantle of Raiho. The most mysterious of the of the Frostice League, he is also the leader of it, and is the greatest detective demon to ever walk the world.

Powers: Raiho possesses a keen intellect, sharp powers of observation, ice manipulation, and extreme proficiency with a sword, particularly a Katana claimed to be passed down from Raiho to Raiho called the Hee-ho Katana.

Frost Ace: A Jack Frost who lost his family during the Second Divide when they refused to side with Lord Eligor, he found the legendary Icy vest, and decided to use it to stop Lord Eligor from making anybody suffer what he went through ever again. He and Raiho are the best of friends, and the two often work together in battle.

Powers: Frost Ace possesses a wide variety of useful gadgetry, as well as the legendary power of the Icy Vest, which greatly increases the potency of his ice attacks. It also grants him the ability to withstand Flames, typically the Frost Clan's one constant weakness.

At that point, the pencil point snapped, and Takeru had to pause to go sharpen it.

Takeru's Work Thread No.1 (Done!): The Frostice League. Empty
PostSubject: Re: Takeru's Work Thread No.1 (Done!): The Frostice League.   Takeru's Work Thread No.1 (Done!): The Frostice League. EmptyFri Oct 07, 2016 8:52 pm

Once he got done sharpening the pencil point, and refreshing his erasers, he turned the page, and picked off from where he had left off.

Note: The fiction starts here again. Again, don't you dare hold it against him. Why do you think he's publishing it under a pseudonym?

Demonee-ho: A rookie Frost with a suit of armor that he made himself to protect others, all the others were destroyed when he refused to side with Illumina, and as a result, he swore vengeance on him. He acts as the team's go-to tech guy, and is extremely adept with machines. His gun uses almighty energy as a power source, making it one of the few things capable of harming the Frost Five. He is still optimistic, though, and can put to use the equivalent of demonic military training.

Powers: Demonee-ho's armor runs off his ice powers, but gives him resistance to fire and physical attacks, as well as being bulletproof. He doesn't use his ice powers due to the armor restricting them, but more than makes up for it with his quickness, military-type training, and skill with his almighty-energy gun.

Black Frost: Typically seen as a symbol of evil, this big, black titan of a Frost is the result of a heroic King Frost and his kingdom fusing their entire selves into this to give humanity a chance when they chose not to follow Illumina's orders. As a result, he is amongst the most powerful heavy-hitters of the team, being one of the only frosts capable of truly nullifying the effects of fire... and the only one capable of actually using it. It is with his power the team owes a good number of victories to.

Powers: Black Frost possesses immunity to both fire and ice, and can manipulate the two freely, as well as wielding immense physical power, and Dark energy. With it, he is on par with Lucifroz and the Frost Five in battle in terms of sheer strengths.

Lucifroz: A Jack Frost that betrayed his clan who was exiled to the underworld, he now seeks to redeem himself with new power granted by a Morningstar gem that must be recharged every 24 hours by reciting an oath. It does not let him kill, however, human life. Though an outcast in the league, he is still seen as a valued ally and comrade in battle.

Powers: The Morningstar gem that grants Lucifroz his power grants him the ability to manipulate ice, light, and flame immunity to great degrees, putting him as one of the most powerful members of the league. It is recharged by reciting an oath that reaffirms one's will to be free of their sins through righteous means, supposedly. He wears the gem itself like a ring. The oath itself is, as follows:

In burning day, in coldest night,
No hee-evil-ho shall escape my sight.
Let those who try to bind what's right,
Beware my power, Lucifroz's cold light!

At that point, Takeru ended the section, believing that that would be all the members he needed so far for it. He decided to take a short break at this point to stretch for a bit and to once again sharpen his pencils and let himself relax.
Once that was done, he wrote down on the next blank page the title of the next section:
Enemies of the Frostice League.

Once again, he paused to think about what he wanted out of the villains before writing it all down. But before he did, something else occurred to him:
He should write under a pseudonym so as to avoid getting mobbed if it was published, and the reviews went either way.
At that point, he thought up of several pseudonyms, but he also had to find a way to prove that it was him if he had to in order to keep imposters from popping up. It took him a while, but he finally settled on one:
Kataru Makaruge

To anyone else, this one somebody totally unrelated to Takeru, but if one wrote it in Japanese characters, then swapped around the order, you would get his name in it.
That settled that issue for now, and so he decided to set himself once more on the main task: Writing the villains:
Also, once again, this is where the information flow starts up again. Remember, this bit is fiction written by Takeru.

Illumina Codex: An evil demon who started it all, he is responsible for the second divide, and all the chaos the ensured from it. He is the Frostice League (and, to an extent, all of the cadet's) worst enemy. He manifests as a living pyramid being in the physical world.
Powers: Illumina is a being who possess massive psychic reality-warping powers. On the physical plain, he is indestructible, but on the dream realm and mental level, he is all but invincible.

Sir Zwart: A tall, black warrior created by Illumina as a mindless destroyer, Sir Zwart is truly a force to be reckoned with, carrying a sword reading "TERMINATION" in Demonic Script. Even the most powerful of human cadets would have a tough time trying to match him in power, so demon cadets are the only ones that can fight him on equal terms.

Powers: Sir Zwart possesses immense strength and durability, his sword being able to cut through solid steel in one swipe with ease, and a cannon of a right arm that fires shots capable of leveling whole buildings, he is not to be underestimated, even if he is mindless save for the ability to follow orders, and programmed with absolute loyalty to Lord Eligor.

The Sinful Seven: The embodiments of the seven sins summoned by Illumina as part of his "Henchmaniacs", they were all too happy to wreak havoc on the human world when given the chance to. It was they who caused the fall of Little Tokyo and the death of the district heads. They represent the very things heroes fight against, and are therefore everyone's enemies (except for their own troops).

Powers: All of them are extremely powerful lords of the underworld, and so possess powers too numerous to list, being extremely different.

At that point, Takeru found that he had to go use the bathroom, and being done with that section, took another break to do so.
Once he was done, he decided to write about the rest of Endymion in the world he created, and the allies of the Frostice League.

Takeru's Work Thread No.1 (Done!): The Frostice League. Empty
PostSubject: Re: Takeru's Work Thread No.1 (Done!): The Frostice League.   Takeru's Work Thread No.1 (Done!): The Frostice League. EmptyFri Oct 07, 2016 9:55 pm

Sitting down again, he began to write again, deciding to go and explain the state of Endymion now in this world, and titled the next blank page such.

Warning: Fictional stuff follows here. Kataru Makaruge is the one who wrote it... who is Takeru under a false name. As such, the material is like the name: false because it is a work of fiction.

-The Rest of Endymion Now:

The Tower Now: Where the Queen's magnificent tower is, lies only ruins. Now, only Illumina's Pyramid fortress remains floating above it, a stronghold where the main rift is, and the place where it must be closed at.

Sancity Rehabilitation Center Now: The once mighty prison has been converted into the fortress of the remaining cadets and citizens. Its gates barely hold against the constant flow of the mad mutations sent by Illumina to attack it, but they do, in no small part thanks to the demon cadets doing their best to try and hold them off, and perhaps one day undoing the mutations. For the mutants that attack them are actually Endymonians caught by the Illumina and infected with a virus that induces madness, and a psychopathic desire to kill all beings not like them. It is this fate that makes many human cadets that know they will be captured commit suicide rather than suffer such a thing.

Little Tokyo Now: The once prosperous Japanese district has become a den of sin, with the Sinful Seven setting up base there once they were done killing the district heads. Because of this, many powerful demons are also found around there, and it is unlikely that the current level of resistance is enough to overcome it.

Backlight Now: The First Capital Bank serves as a safe haven for survivors until they can be transferred to Sancity, but there is talk about the resistance maybe converting it into a whole other residence for survivors all together. One of the nearby warehouses also houses the Young Frostice, a sub-group of the team headed by Kid Frost (A.k.A petit frost)

Vista Square Now: Where the Smile Broadcasting TV station tower is, the Machina Militia, allies of the Frostice league that are mechanical-themed demons, mainly, have set up shop. They are also in charge of broadcasting the main distress call for survivors to come to... as well as keep Illumina's forces from finding them. The TV tower is protected by a huge defense grid built by it's new inhabitants. thus keeping it from being overtaken.

East Eden Now: It is here that another sector of the cadets exist, this one in charge of trying to get and produce supplies the best they can. Protected by the Living Legion, a collection of demons specializing in natural phenomena, they eke out an existence through sheer luck, being that Eligor considers them not a threat.

Suzie Q Now: The once great entertainment district is a constant war zone, with Eligor's forces fighting against a battalion of cadets garrisoned there called the Q-Troop. The Picaro Posse, Demons mutated by a weirdness wave that have the ability to shift into more powerful "Picaro" forms in combat set up camp in the concert halls.

Endymion Metro Station Now: The once bustling train hub is now an underground battle as both sides fight for dominance there. The Dark Dwellers, however, are not as appreciative of being disturbed, being a neutral force of demons that really don't give a damn, and are more than happy to rip apart anyone that trespasses into their territory.

Seven Stars Now: The once great School is one of the few structures left standing, and is one of the other main cadet strongholds, being a home to many of the survivors as well (you can think of the prison as the place where soldiers are garrisoned, and the school a place where civilians go). Protected by the Freedom Fiends, a group of fiends hell-bent on freeing the city from Illuminatus, it is not someplace he will be taking anytime soon.

Sunlake Palms Now: The once peaceful outskirts are now almost a ghost town. The forest of the lost is where the Sprit Squad dwells, a collection of occult themed demons who, while being neutral, are in close communication with the Living Legion in an attempt to try find a way out for the civilians to escape through. They are safeguarded by a unique curse that makes the forest a labyrinth from which travelers are never to find the center of, only enter and exit. Nearby is the headquarters of the Frostice league, and it is here that they reconvene for strategy and rest. Also nearby, a hidden bunker inside the forest also houses the Young Frostice, a sub-group of the team headed by Kid Frost (A.k.A petit frost)

It was at that point, that Takeru's fingers began to cramp, and he decided to stop and take a short break for now to give it time to quit doing so.

Takeru's Work Thread No.1 (Done!): The Frostice League. Empty
PostSubject: Re: Takeru's Work Thread No.1 (Done!): The Frostice League.   Takeru's Work Thread No.1 (Done!): The Frostice League. EmptyFri Oct 07, 2016 10:34 pm

Once he had gotten his hand to quit cramping, Takeru began to write about the many allies of the Frostice League.

For what hopefully will be the final time: This is a work of fiction written by Takeru from here on out, so treat it as such. Got it?

The Frostice League is not alone, though. It has many Demonic Allies throughout all of Endymion, all of which would gladly help them... well, most of them, anyways.

Some of these more notable allies include:

-The Machina Militia: A group of machine-themed demons based in the old broadcasting tower that are in charge of technological affairs. Their members include:

Deebiikun: A small, tiny robot that is the leader of the Machina military. He may not look like much, but he is far mightier than most might think.

Powers: Deebiikun's greatest weapon is his cannon, capable of taking down demons many times his size single-handedly with a great explosion.

Talos: A gentle, giant robot that serves as the head of security of the base. He is immensely strong, and just his name alone is enough to make most of Eligor's forces reconsider fighting him.

Power: Talos possesses great strength and durability, as well as a form of "techno-empathy" that lets him communicate with non-living machines like they were living beings.

Souless God Oumagatsu: The most powerful of the Machina Militia, and the Cadet's best hope of breaking into Lord Eligor's citadel, it requires a great amount of power for this demon to even move, and even more so to fight. But it still helps anyway it can from it's brain communicating using a type of telepathy to convey it's wishes.

Powers: Oumagatsu possesses godlike strength, durability, firepower, and intelligence. The only problem is that it lacks a soul to give it energy, or, for that matter, one powerful enough to make it function. It possess a form of communicative telepathy as well.

-The Picaro Posse: A group of demons that were exposed to a weirdness wave, they found themselves able to mutate into stronger, more savage "Picaro" forms at will. Basing themselves in Suzie Q, they are a force to truly beware on the battlefield.
Notable members include:

The Izanagi Yin-Yang: The two joint-leaders of the Picaro Posse, Magatsu Izanagi is capricious, callous, impulsive, and eager for a fight. Izanagi is reserved, contemplative, patient, and pacifistic, preferring not to fight unless it absolutely must. While the two typically don't see eye-to-eye, they are still two of the most powerful Picaro.

Powers: Both Izanagi's possess great strength and magical potency, particularly in electricity.

Messiah and Orpheus: A demon who shares the same name as the savior himself, he is quiet, and often speaks for his best friend, Orpheus, who cannot speak. A powerful healer and light user, when angered (which is rarely) he is somebody who it is best not to cross. Orpheus is a silent, but nonetheless kind person as well, and the two are often seen healing who they can.

Powers: Messiah possesses powerful healing abilities and light abilities, while Orpheus posses the ability to invigorate and manipulate flames with his harp.

The Spirit Squadron: A team of occult demons who are against lord Eligor vehemently, they are masters of their trade. For them, death is a doorway, and one that they can control the passengers of.
Notable members include:

Belial and Neibros: A powerful fiend and a master necromancer responsible for the leadership of the spirit squad, they are against Lord Eligor for the murder of their daughter, who's name is not to be spoken on pain of death.

Powers: Belial possesses the ability to generate immense heat and control others minds, while Neibros is an unparalleled Necromancer who uses the Darkness like it was a part of her. Both are extremely dangerous.

Koga Saburo: The descendent of his namesake, and the only human member of the Spirit Squadron, he has the ability to wield Yato-no-kami, the Snake God of the Night Sword in it's sword form as a weapon capable of killing demons.

Powers: Yato-no-Kami grants him a suit of armor when used that protects him from most things, and lets him use it in the form of a sword capable of slaying fiends with ease as well. In desperate times, he can even shape shift into a giant black snake temporarily, albeit, it leaves him severely tired for several days afterwards.

At this point, Takeru's hand once again began to cramp, and he realized that he might have to take another break or two before he could start writing again.

Takeru's Work Thread No.1 (Done!): The Frostice League. Empty
PostSubject: Re: Takeru's Work Thread No.1 (Done!): The Frostice League.   Takeru's Work Thread No.1 (Done!): The Frostice League. EmptySat Oct 08, 2016 4:04 am

Takeru finally managed to get his hand in order, having pretty much numbed the nerves in it so that he could finish writing. It would probably hurt like hell for the rest of the day, but hey, at least it was for some sweet, sweet cash. His callouses were also beginning to swell as well, a sign that he really should stop writing for now. But he couldn't. And he needed his hands to play piano if they had to, well, one hand anyways.
Besides, he knew he could play several impressive pieces one handedly, something he had picked up for both hands in the event he ever broke one.
So he put pencil to paper, and began to write.

From here on out, it's fiction. This time, this will be the last part, and I mean it. My hand cannot just crank out another long one.

The Freedom Fiends: A group of fiends fixated on keeping Illumina from enslaving the human race for some odd reason, these guys look scary, but are responsible for the protection of Seven Stars Academy, the current location where much of the civilians have been relocated.
Notable members include:
Sandalphon: Yes, it's THAT sandalphon. An angel leading an army of fiends, Sandalphon has enough of a sense of humor to appreciate the irony of it all. Powerful, and very much so.

Powers: Sandalphon possesses flight, and the ability to manipulate light with extreme proficiency.

Black Maria: The only female on the team, nobody knows if Black Maria is human or demon, the veil it wears is constantly covering her body. She only tends to act as an observer, so nobody really tends to pay attention to her.

Powers: Unknown.

Berserker and Cait Sith: The odd pair of the Freedom Fiends, Berserker is quite possibly the only true fiend on the team. Cait Sith acts as both a translator for Berserker's growls, and as it's brains. Berserker, for the most part, just smashes what he's told to.

Powers: Cait Sith is capable of controlling all cats around him, and has wind manipulation. Berserker is incredibly strong, being able to withstand forces beyond comprehension with ease.

The Living Legion: A collection of various nature demons dedicated to trying to get some semblance of agriculture up and running again, they are based in East Eden's agricultural processing plant.
Notable Members include:

Titan: The leader of the Living Legion, Titan carries a huge sword that is capable of rending the Earth in one swipe with ease, and can crush the very soul of an opponent with it's power. He is a huge, ogre-like giant that is the main reason why East Eden stays safe.

Powers: Titan possesses immense strength, earth manipulation, and a sword of massive proportions and power.

Nymph: One of the creatures of it's namesake, Nymph is beautiful... but also one of the main producers of the food they can make at the moment, so it's had to make the ultimate sacrifice several times to do so: The loss of it's party time. Aren't you glad some creatures of Nature are friendly?

Powers: Nymph possess immense beauty and nature manipulation powers. Peep on her only if you like becoming a piece of grain.

Aether: The fusion of the four elementals, Flaemis, Aquos, Earth, and Aeros, Aether possess the four powers of his components... and none of their weaknesses. He can use this to make almost anything, through application of the 4 elements.

Powers: Aether is able to manipulate Fire, water, earth, and air with utmost mastery to great effect. It is with his help that a good chunk of the food reaches the other garrisons.

The Dark Dwellers: A group of demons that hunt in the tunnels of the Metro station, they are willing to kill almost anybody that dares trespass into their territory.
Notable Members Include:

Trumpeter: The one who leads the group, Trumpeter is also the general means of communication for the Resistance (you see, he has a total of 7 other brothers who all communicate through songs played between each other that only they can hear).

Powers: Trumpeter's Heavenly Trumpet allows him to create various sound frequencies for a variety of tasks, and manipulate Light and Dark with ease. He can also fly.

Cerberus: Trumpeter's Second in Command, he is the most friendly of the Dark Dwellers, often tending to warn trespassers to leave or he kills them (most just tend to kill on sight).

Powers: A dog with the ability to breathe fire. That's it, really. Well, Fire and Dark manipulation, to be exact.

Matador: The most eager of the Dark Dwellers for a fight, he swears by his capote to almost epic proportions. Most assume he is a joke. That is very, very wrong. He has the highest confirmed kill count of the Dwellers. Make of that what you will.

Powers: Matador possesses super speed, and extreme dexterity combined with a mastery of his blade, Andalucia, he can pretty much wreck anything that's not prepared for him specifically.

Takeru just kept writing and writing from there, developing a script of epic proportions that would be enough to fill the first volume containing the very first 4 issues, which would collect the arc of the league's formation. It took almost all morning, but...

Finally, it was done. What followed was an epic quest for an artist Takeru deemed worthy of the job, as well as a publisher, but eventually, Frostice League hit the stands with a bang, very quickly rising in popularity as people came to love the characters and the storylines the comic had. For a time, it even surpassed One Punch Frost in terms of sheer sales, and often kept up an equal pace with it in sales. For a while, the biggest question was who the author really was.
Takeru, for the most part, would keep writing issues of Frostice League...
And earning about 5k VC in the process.
Life was excellent for him.
Of course, for a writer, finishing one project meant moving onto the next. For him, that next project was what would be volume two...
And the adventure continues (kinda sorta).

END OF THREAD. WELL DONE! Sanity levels: 90%. Almost normal!
