Suzie Q was, as usual, bustling with life. After all, there were concerts to be had, tourists to entertain, crowds to appease! Who could sleep when there was still so much to do?

On this particular evening, officers stood in front of a large barricade, some shooing traffic in another direction while others guided pedestrians to other streets. It was a whirlwind of noise and crowds, and it would be difficult to not get swept up in it all.

Not that that was an issue, of course. Who wouldn't want to get caught up in all the fun?

Going out at night wasn't usually on Batilde's agenda. She barely had the time to do so due to school and work, hence why her nightly trips, although scarce, were of great importance. A chance for her to truly just let loose, and release all the pent up stress that her normal life caused her. More often than not, Miyuki had been joining her on these little escapades, and they always had a good time together. But, not today. Her friend had some other buissness to take care of, and as such, Batilde found herself out in Suzie Q, wishing to have some fun of her own. Last time she did something like this, she had bumped into the pickpocketer Aya and the Gentleman Giovanni. It hadn't been the best of starts, but hey, at least the Giovanni guy seemed like an upstanding individual, right?

There was just so much to do here, especially at night-time that Batilde found herself actually at a loss as to where to go first... decisions, decisions.

As Batilde walked down the main road, an officer would stop her as she approached the barricade.

"Sorry, miss, this road is closed for the big concert." The scripted response fell duly from his mouth as he held up a hand for her to stop. "If you want to get to the shops or cross to the housing district, you're going to have to take that side street over there." his right hand gestured to a much less crowded side street lined with softly lit storefronts. "If you are looking for the concert entrance, please show your ticket to the officer down that way." Dropping his right hand, he raised his left and pointed to the shuffling crowd currently filling the cordoned off street.

"Oh. E-Excusez-moi, good sir." Batilde replied, and followed the kind policeman's directions. Once that was all done, she'd slowly make her way down the less crowded street, looking around the shops would perhaps be a good place to start her night out alone. She'd stop for a moment, looking around for someplace which looked interesting. And surely enough, not too far from where she was, she'd find a Karaoke bar... She had never tried that before! N-Not that she had ever tried to sing once in her life... Well, if she had, it was aaages ago when she was still like 4 or 5 years old... What could possibly go wrong?

The karaoke bar Batilde stopped in front of was much more brightly lit than most of the quaint cafes and high-rise clothing shops down this street. Looking in through the store front window, she'd be able to see a young woman at the counter, her legs propped up on the counter and a magazine in hand. Occasionally she reached over for a handful of something brightly colored--a type of fruit-flavored candy that was on the rise right now--and shoved it into her mouth, chewing almost absentmindedly while she glanced through her magazine.

Of course, such a lazy scene couldn't last long in such a place.

A shout loud enough to carry to the outside grabbed the attendant's attention. Setting down the magazine, she looked to the back room and, brow furrowing in confusion, hurried out of sight.

Seeing something like that didn't deter the young lass, and she opened the door without hesitation, and stepped inside. She did manage to take a quick peek of what was going on inside... Whatever it was, it caused the attendant to sneer at it... What was going on here...?

The night had only just begun! After getting her power she was excited for some action after recent events; desperate almost. She hung around a nearby karaoke bar she sort of remembered once before. She pulled herself up a ladder in the alley-side of the building and sat against the second level of metal rungs on the way to the roof. A concert was going to happen tonight; maybe she could nab a few wallets. She hadn't lost that love for a good wad of cash, nor the thrill of running pockets. Still, she had to wait till it started to sneak in during the blaring noise. She yawned and ran a hand through her hair, pulled out a few locks, and wiped the sweat from her face. Aya never took the heat for granted or badmouthed it, given that winter was always going to come, and that was a beast of its own right when you don't have a blanket to protect you. She turned her head to the left and noticed the window that gave view inside the bar; was that always there? Aya never got time for pause as a scream came from the front, catching her eye. But instead of going out there, she'd wait to see if anything happened outside, and would sneak a peek through the window to see if the shouting came from the inside. Maybe something was going on.

"You cAn't have it, it's mINe!"

The grating wail came from the ajar door, followed by hurried shouts from two employees.

"C-Call the Cadets!"

"Just run, get the customers out-!"

The girl who was at the front counter ran from the back room and skid to a stop to grab at the door handle as another employee, another girl, dashed past and ran out the front door. Right before the remaining worker could slam the door shut, she looked over and, seeing Batilde, froze, wide-eyed. "Hey, no, get out of here! Get-"

She was cut off as something flew from the back room and made contact with her head. A moment later and the girl crashed to the floor, the microphone that had been chucked at her teetering in the doorway.

A high-pitched cackle followed the blow. "I tOLd her, I tOLd her, it's MIne~! tHAt's what tHIEVeS gEt!"

Should either of the onlookers peek into the back room, they'd find a curiously dressed person--no, not a person--tossing about boxes, tearing into packages of candy and soda, eating anything remotely food-like all with a blissful smile on its face.

"EaT it Up, EaT it Up, aLL wiTHoUt a WhINe, EaT it Up, EaT it Up, 'cUz it's ALL mINE~!"

"EEEK!" Batilde yelped as the microphone hit the attendant with an uncomfortably loud thud. What was even going on here...? Her knees were trembling like they were made out of Jell-o, as she just stood there, stunned by the scene in front of her. A Shady figure in the back, almost transparent, seemingly had the time of it's life inside, making a ruckus and just generally being unpleasant. Whatever that thing was, it was scary, and Batilde wanted to listen to what the attendant had asked, but... she was nailed to the very spot she stood on. Her legs refused to move... She was panicked. Stress and fear overtook her forcefully, and she was left there, unmoving. Seconds felt like hours as the passed, as the girl silently prayed to whatever gods would listen... she didn't want to die! She just wanted to have a good night out! Was that too much to ask for?!

Aya looked at the weird clown thing eating up the food inside. Jeez, if that was all it took...still though, this was a chance for some action. She just needed a good point to jump in and handle it. Everyone was still leaving, so maybe she could jump in during the commotion. She would slide her nails under the crack of the window and start to heft it. The window surprisingly wasn't locked; had someone else tried to bust in before, or was it just left this way? Still, she remained under the windowsill as she just pushed her arms and then the window up. She hadn't jumped in yet, and her presence wouldn't be noticed as everyone was focused on the Demon. She just needed a moment...

The creature, upon hearing Batilde's scream, froze. Slowly, its head rotated one-hundred and eighty degrees, taffy and half-eaten twizzlers sticking to its teeth. Its large eyes narrowed at her before it snarled, "ThIS iS mY CANdY! MiNE!"

"What's goin' on out there, dad...?"

"If you have time to goof off, you can bring me the food I ordered!"

"Hey, keep it down out there!"

The commotion outside had drawn the attention of the customers, and one by one, curious murmurs came from the other side of the establishment. They grew in volume, and soon doors were cracked open, people poking their heads out, a family and groups of teens and some older women beginning to swarm the front of the store to get a better look at what was happening.

Someone screamed.

Just like that, the muted curiosity was shattered and replaced with panic.

The customers began running out of the store, some snapping pictures of what was going on with the currently unconscious attendant and the demon before leaving. Others pulled out their phones, hurriedly calling emergency numbers that they knew by heart. One woman, however, broke away from the pack.

"You there! Go!" she snapped at Batilde after seeing that she was unmoving near the door. "I'll take care of this!"

Gingerly stepping over the fallen girl, the woman braced herself in the back room doorway, staring down the demon. From her pocket she took out a small prescription bottle and called out in a wavering, although firm voice, "Come out, Majora!" A thick grey mist began to rise up around her, and for a moment, the jester-like creature looked almost afraid.

But then the mist darkened to a thick, choking black. The woman, eyes widening, began to frantically claw at the prescription bottle's lid, even going so far as to get the cap off, but by then, the smoke had shot up, latching onto her neck and tightening. The woman, choking, face quickly turning red, staggered back, tripping over the fallen teen and onto her backside.

The demon began to laugh. Clutching at its stomach, rolling about in the air, even going so far as to point at the woman and laugh harder. "AhaHAHAHahA! cAN't coNTRoL YouR OwN Ego?!" Turning its gaze to Batilde, its grin stretched to imppossible lengths. "NoW IT's yOuR tuRn!"

"Why."

A new voice chimed in, speaking to Batilde alone from inside of the girl's head...

"Who do you think you are, daring to call upon me?"

How would she respond to this? Could she?

Batilde was paralyzed... rooted to the floor in fear as her supposed saviour fell to the floor, dropping a small bottle of pills onto the floor as the black mist consumed her slowly... Whatever this thing was, it was dangerous... she needed to run... Now! And that's when she heard... her voice.

"Why...? Who do you think you are, daring to call upon me?"

She had never heard such a cold, commanding tone before... Lacking of compassion... In a way, the voice even appeared insulted by Batilde... What had she even done? Nothing, right? She had just shown up here, only to be staring death square in the face? Because that's what this... thing wanted, yeah? It seemed like it... Batilde nearly collapsed as a scorching headache seared her brain, as a myriad of voices spoke to her, and amongst them, the voice from before... Their words were unclear, but it was clear to her that they were indeed voices, and not some random noise.

I... I don't know... I just need help... Something... anything will do. I just don't want to die...

The voice scoffed right before a sharp pain, almost as if something was ramming about the inside her head, hit Batilde. The pain continued for a second before the voice let out an aggravated screech.

"Out...Out...I refuse to be confined to this brat!"

The pain hit Batilde again for a moment before almost completely subsiding. Only a small, dull ache remained in the back of Batilde's head.

"Tch...it seems that I have no choice. ...Fine. Use me as you will, for I would rather not die just because the vessel I'm tied to is incompetent and allows itself to be killed by a pathetic thing such as that. But be warned, this is not over."

"I GeT iT, yoU'Re AlL scAreD! bUT thIs Is YoUr FaULt! ShOuld'Ve lIstEneD whEn I saId tO LEavE!"

Batilde gave a sigh of relief as this inner voice seemed to listen to reason... It understood the gravity of the situation at hand, and acted accordingly, even if very reluctantly. What happened next came as a shock to her. Having broken free of her mental shackles holding her eyes away from the horrors of the world, her vision seemed to clear up, and laid eyes on the hideous creature in front of her. Shortly after, Her entire body was wrapped with leather out of seemingly nowhere, and she found herself wearing a biker helmet as well. Now, she wasn't defenseless anymore, and thus her confidence rose. Her Persona, Astrape, floated behind her, as the girl picked up the German Luger. Astrape would narrow it's eyes towards the demon before speaking up

Aya took a closer look at the girl who wasn't leaving, and recognized her face. She remembered how irritating the foreign lady was...but it seemed she was going to summon powers of her own. Now it was getting exciting! Donning her own mask, her Persona would appear as she leaped through the window and slid down a metal porous wall, then jumping off of it into the floor where Batilde and the Demon stood. As she did this maneuver, Mordred would fly towards the Demon and stab into him twice.
