| A chill breeze swept across the fields outside of the Festival Grounds as a man, draped in a brown, ragged cloak, walked in on the festivities. "Ah, you're here. Your opponent's waiting for you not too far from here. Just outside the actual festival grounds." Caestus replied with a thin smile. It's been a long time since he met Retro, an old friend of his from Europe. The two met during a mission to take out a rather large drug-ring in Germany a couple of years ago. Back then, the two hadn't awakened, and thus lacked actual powers. He was now working alongside Caestus in the Android Testing Squad, and was thus a very capable fighter, knowing how to push enemies to their absolute limits without destroying them. What was the point of it if all he did was destroy the androids he fought, when the data collected could be used for improvements on the subjects?
Retro only nodded in response to Caestus, being an android of few words, only feeling the need to speak when his voice actually carried some weight in the subject matter. Should Azami show up, he'd nod to her as well, and guide her over to a safe spot they could duke it out without destroying any stands or booths."..." | |

| They stood face to face in an open, grassy field. The scene was serene, but the air was thick with resolve and tension, and any would-be observers would easily be able to tell that the peace would be short-lived. Azami's normally red eyes started to take on a light but gradually deepening shade of yellow as she stared at the silent android with her hands resting nonchalantly inside the pockets of her crimson jacket. With an open terrain like this, it would be a match of pure power and wits, and the environment would be almost completely irrelevant to the battle which would soon occur. "Retro, was it? You sure about this? I'm no ordinary weirdo, y'know?" Azami wasn't even going to think of holding back. Her power was one without limits, one with infinite possibilities, and there was no point in trying to avoid harnessing its full and unending potential. She'd refrain from killing him of course, but that didn't mean she was gonna be gentle. | |
