| //"Mmn..."// Shiina sat perfectly calmly in the public library, the final stop in her preparations for the main event this afternoon. Frankly, the tome she was currently reading was far bigger than it needed to be-- very much an oddity compared to all the normal book-sized books scattered across the bookshelves. Though, even if she looked focused enough, her attention was pulled away by something a bit more interesting...
"Hey, isn't that Miss Tsurinai?"
"I heard she made it through the initiation yesterday... that means she's in Class 0 now, right?"
"Luckyyyy, I could never make it through something like that! So elite like her use the public library too, huh... I thought they had their own place."
"I hear you need to risk your life to even go to that ceremony... w-woah, what kind of scary person would risk that..?"
"Sh-shut up, you idiots, she might hear you!"
Whispers. The Cadets were definitely seen as the elite of the city, the so-called heroes of Endymion. Sitting in a chair right now, like any normal student, was one of those so-called heroes, yet she mentally admitted to herself...
//"I haven't even done a damn thing yet..."// Making it through the initiation ceremony was the easy part. Shiina hadn't even gotten a taste of what it meant to be a Cadet, so how come other students were already treating her like some kind of hero? Was that what came with being a Cadet? At least one thing was for sure, rumors spread quickly. Though, out of curiosity, the Tsurinai glanced over at the group of people whose whispers had by chance reached her ear. In the quiet of the library, not being careful enough could get you caught red-handed.
"E-eh?! Oh, g-guys, um, I just remembered we need to go get something for the teach. Come on, let's go!"
And with just that, they left without another word. The Wild Card sighed and returned to her tome.
//"It's for Endymion... keep that in mind."//

| Ever since early morning, Cecilia's mind had been on her meeting with Maria. It had been a short encounter and had only taken up a fraction of her time spent at the church, but nevertheless, it had been an interesting one. The nun-in-training had provided much food for thought and the wisdom she imparted still echoed within the young girl's mind. Even as she skimmed through the various sections of the library searching for a book, she couldn't help but find her focus drift back to her memories, and as a result what should have been a short and simple process grew long and a bit tiresome. As she continued to browse, Cecilia began to overhear whispers from her classmates. Under normal circumstances, she'd just ignore them, but certain words stuck out -- words like "initiation" and "Class Zero." The pink-haired student paused and slowly turned her gaze to the subject of their attention. She remained in a contemplative silence for a few seconds before quickly turning her eyes away from her and pulling out a random book. Nonchalantly she began to walk over toward her book in hand and took a seat next to her without hesitation. "Is what they're saying true? Did you pass the initation?" She whispered to the silver-haired Tsurinai. | |

| Maybe if her mind wasn't clouded with worries about the investigation later today, Shiina would pay a bit more attention to the gossip. She only really glanced their way because they were somewhat annoying. Didn't they know not to speak loudly in the library? Damn teens...
Though, the Wild Card's blue eyes drifted away from her book again when she heard someone else calling for her. She glanced over at the person with a somewhat colder gaze than she'd normally give to a random stranger; maybe the anticipation was still getting to her. She hoped to let all that out when she finally got to fighting demons, naturally... Oh, but she needed to respond. Of course.
//"Yes, it's true."// Shiina didn't really feel like flaring her response up more than needed. She really would inquire as to why this question came so suddenly but... well, at this point, she didn't know whether to really ask that or not. At least, if the girl kept going, the Cadet would silently close her tome and set it down. Otherwise... well, whatever happened, happened.

| So then it wasn't just idle gossip. She was talking to a real Cadet! Cecilia despised her lucky streak, but at least it was good for something. Slowly she opened up her own book and pulled it up to her face pretending as though she were reading it. The girl remained silent for a good few minutes or so as she collected her thoughts and, when she had gathered them together, she decided to continue her conversation. "It's pretty noble to dedicate yourself to the queen and city like that. What was the initiation like? Or is that a government secret?"- OOC Notes:
Sorry for short post. Couldn't think of much else to write.

| Shiina raised an eyebrow at the girl's strange antics. Hiding behind a book now? After raising your voice and starting a conversation? The Tsurinai had seen some weird things, but that was pretty awkward even for her. Awkward enough to draw a little snicker out of her. While waiting for the student to compose herself, though, she simply organized her calendar on her phone, using just initials to mark most every event.
//"Mm."// She didn't mind the compliment, it was pretty truthful in and of itself, and even she had admired the previous Cadets for the same reason. Although, she wasn't quite sure how to answer the next part... //"If I had to say, it's... simpler than what Miss No Name made it out to be."// The Wild Card barely spoke above a whisper, due to them being in the library, obviously.
//"Is it really that interesting to find a Cadet in the school..? We're all just students like everyone else, you know."// Shiina didn't understand. Being raised with knowledge of everything supernatural probably didn't help her see it as most people did. To her, demons and Personas and the power she now had were just normal day-to-day topics. Maybe a little unusual in terms of scientific knowledge, but otherwise... hell, it was one of the required courses she had to take.

| "Simpler than what Miss No Name made it out to be," huh? Hm... It wasn't as descriptive as she was hoping for, but she'd take it. It was at least something and she couldn't be picky about the information she received. Still, she was kinda hoping for something more substantial, like a description of the procedure or a hint or two about how to go about things. That would be cheating, though, wouldn't it? As soldiers of the queen who would be going up against Psyche Terrorists, the Cadets had to be ready for anything, and as a result, they needed to be adaptable to unfamiliar situations. Yeah... She could see the logic behind that. Flipping through a few pages of the book idly, Cecilia would proceed to answer Shiina's question without any degree of hesitancy, almost as if she had prepared a response beforehand in advance.
"Of course it is. Things don't have to be unfamiliar or foreign to be interesting, do they? I mean, I can only speak for myself, but I personally like being surrounded by what I've grown accustomed to. Cadets being normal, everyday people is something inspiring; it makes me admire them more, not less."
The powers they had weren't the sole thing that made Cadets special, at least not in her book anyway. They were special because they had the courage to try and do good, risks be damned; they were special because they were willing to put their lives on the line fighting in the name of the Goddess of Endymion and the people she watched over. That didn't just take a Persona and some flashy supernatural abilities, it took resolve. And the thought that anyone could be a Cadet, though a naive and foolish notion, was something Cecilia found herself taking refuge in.
"Besides, I plan on being one, so it's only natural for me to display interest in the topic." She said matter-of-factly as though her success was guaranteed.

| While the girl processed what Shiina had said in her mind, the Cadet herself would finish setting up alarms for every single event for the next week or so. It didn't take that long, as Shiina left many days open in case something unexpected came up, but it was enough to pass the time. Once that was done, she clicked a thin button on the side of her phone to lock it, then slid it back into her vest's pocket.
//"I see..."// That logic... kinda made sense, in a way. Shiina couldn't say she agreed-- if anything, being normal made you boring in her eyes, not admirable. If you stood out, that's what made you interesting... Hell, maybe she was wrong in that Cadets were normal people; if they were normal people, they wouldn't have any defining characteristic. //"I suppose that makes sense. Personally, unless they're a Cadet with a long history of success, like Prince Julius, I don't see the point in praising them extensively. Someone who just passed the initial ceremony, while deserving of congratulations, doesn't seem that worthy of being hailed as a hero. Myself included."//
What only her servants knew about thus far was... a different story. There was certainly a reason to consider Shiina special, but none she'd really reveal to just a normal person like this girl. That strange dream with that odd man... Lou Siffer, and what did the other person call it? The power of the Wild Card? That could certainly be called special.
//"Planning on being one? Hm. Said so nonchalantly too... maybe that's the kind of familiarity a Cadet needs some times."// The Tsurinai's lips cracked into a smirk. //"Have we introduced ourselves? If you plan on being a Cadet, it'd be remiss not to know the name of your future colleague. My name is Shiina Tsurinai, currently the Leading Officer of the Tsurinai Group in Endymion."// She held some pride in her name, and the fact that she was the only officer tasked with observing this city. As a Tsurinai, she had a duty towards protecting everyone, after all...

| "Well the prince is another matter entirely. Success can be expected from him no matter what." He was, after all, the queen's son. If he was worthy of that role then surely he was worthy of being a Cadet as well and, naturally, his long history of victory and triumph attested to the truth of that hypothesis. Like mother, like son. The Tsurinai Group, huh? It certainly sounded important, but the name itself didn't ring any bells. Perhaps she'd have to ask this Shiina about it some time. "I'm Cecilia Elise Hunt. I'm a first year with the Helper Sorority. It's a pleasure to meet your acquintance, Miss Tsurinai." | |

| //"Is that so? I suppose you're not wrong there. His Highness really is quite impressive."// Most people in Endymion fawned over Julius in some way or another and while Shiina could see their admiration, in person he was just a lot more approachable than he seemed. In a way, that only made her more comfortable, especially since he had been so courteous to answer her during their first meeting.//"Well then, Cecilia, I suppose I'll see you after your test... or during it, if we're lucky."// The Tsurinai took her tome and softly got up off her seat. She passed a pair of fingers under her hair to push it past her ear, then nodded with a little smile. //"I do hope your bravado isn't just for show. Now, I should be returning this book since it's getting late. If you need me for something feel free to look in the Idol Sorority. Though we're on the verge of closing... I'm trying to keep it running for a bit longer at the very least."// The Wild Card sighed and scratched the back of her head before starting to walk off towards the front desk with a wave. After returning the way too large tome, she'd make her way out of the library; the night was gonna come soon. She wondered whether it would truly be eventful or not...
