The Brighter the Moon..

The bright lights and lively atmosphere of the Suzie Q District was just slightly annoying to Genevieve. She didn't know if it was the people, the rather over baring "entertainment", or the constant barrage of noise from every single area. She truly did not like this district it was her least favorite place to be but for one reason or another she found herself here, away from home. Her mind blanked out and a flash of her baby brother popped into her head. She felt herself internally cringe at the image of the raven haired child. Remembering now why she was out of her element in this gaudy area. Genevieve could feel herself seething on the inside but kept her cool on the outside. She didn't even know how long she had been walking but her feet kept a steady pace.

Irritating. So very, very irr--
Stopping in her tracks, almost like something grabbed her and rooted her in place. Her mind lost it's thought and her head began to move around like a satellite in search of something... In search of.. A sound? Now not many things impressed little miss Bell, but she was a well cultured lady and found pleasures in the simple things. In the seconds that she was filling to the brim with anger something washed over her, the sound of a piano..

Like a moth to a flame she followed the music, surprised that she could pick it up among the sounds of the crowded streets. She found herself entering a rather spacious but pleasantly dim area, a stark contrast to what was outside of the building itself. What was even more impressive was that once she was inside and the doors closed behind her, all she could hear was the music that lured her in. It was almost like the place was blocking out all the outside noise altogether.

"Any requests?"

The music had stopped, or rather it had come to a fulfilling end and in it's place a voice spoke. At first Genevieve was unsure if she was being spoken too, but as she looked around it was clear that she was the only other person in the room. Taking a few steps forward she found herself a seat, crossing one leg over the other.
" Play what you know. Play what you play the best.. "
It honestly didn't matter to her what he played, now that she had gotten a better look at the person she could see that he was a male. In her mind if he could play that well then whatever he did play would be just as good, if not better. Besides that at this moment Genevieve felt a strange peace come over her, as if a weight had been lifted off her shoulders as she anticipated the next song.

As the male played she instantly became engrossed, not only did she know this piece but he played it exquisitely. Closing her eyes she got lost in the music and it seemed all that had been troubling her up until this point faded away. It was like a concert made just for her, with no one else around she soaked it all up. Once the music ended she opened her eyes and took in a deep breath, sighing as if she had been sated. She was almost saddened that it was over, but a good thing is never suppose to last forever, that is what makes it so good. Slowly clapping she gave credit where it was due with her applause. "So... what's your name? I'm Takeru. Takeru kagemaru."


She had been so engrossed in the aftermath of the song she didn't expect the question that was asked. For a moment that felt too long she looked the male over.  Her violet-blue orbs held a look of satisfied indifference. Genevieve. Genevieve Bell. You did a pretty good job with that piece. How long have you been playing the piano?"The question was simple, more or less to get the conversation away from her and more towards him, partly because she was rather interested in the answer.

That is quite impressive.. I can see or rather " hear " those years have paid off. " Had this been any other instance she wouldn't have even glanced at the boy, but music had a way of bringing people together, and establishing communications that couldn't be spoken with words. She had longed to hear more, in fact she would rather do so than here him speak. It was now a silence in the air. He didn't have much else to offer her, but then again she didn't really want to go back outside to all that... Noise. The options before her were clear as day, she didn't care for them but what else could she do. Standing up she made her way closer to the piano, and the boy. Her intentions were simple, to get a closer look at the instrument. The small clicks in her heels echoed off the walls of what was clearly a auditorium of sorts, one that amplified sound and complimented the music in a way for many to appreciate.

She didn't say anything to the boy who called himself Takeru. She didn't really have anything to say to him. She could find multiple subjects to talk about but the fact of the matter was, she didn't know the boy and she honestly wasn't all that interested in knowing him. He had a talent that was certain, but until he could show her something else worth her time she might just start heading back home.

The offer to hear more music was alluring but alas it was not enough to keep her around. She had other things to attend to and nothing around here seemed interesting anymore. No, I think that's enough music for me today.... Maybe we might run into each other again, hopefully you'll have another source of entertainment. " With nothing more than those last words she slid off the stage and walked out of the auditorium back into the loudness that was Suzie Q.
