Reinstatement (Touko's Awakening)

The sound of footsteps clattering against the floor could be heard within the segregated realm. Her presence was evidently marked by the odor of burning cigarettes. It had been a rather long time since she ever set foot within the Room. The decor this time seemed to be centered around prison, captivity, and confinement. It was an interesting choice of design, which was likely fitting for the trials the Guests would have to experience. The sound of her shuffling feet stopped with the smoke lightly drifting near her lips. Touko wondered what else changed in this realm since her departure. But that was what she was going to find out, right?

Her lips curled into a smirk upon meeting the Velvet Room's Overseer. Igor was the same as always with his unsettling eyes and smile. It was a familiar and welcoming sight for the redhead. She remembered the first time when she met Igor. The meeting was of interest and wonder for the wanderer. It wasn't something she easily forgot. Next to the man was a little girl whose appearance was just as recognizable. To her, Touko gave a warm smile and then returned her attention to Igor.


Based on her intuition, Touko felt that something was starting to move within Endymion. There was always a calm before a storm and Touko generally had a good feel for those. And if there's anything that was remotely involved with these calms, it was the Velvet Room. "Will my services be needed this time as well?"

She was being coy as usual, while crossing her arms just as smug. Perhaps it was about time to work once more as a Velvet Attendant. Her powers since then likely have deteriorated, but it didn't matter. Now her information base likely would deepen with her reinstatement and this time she can actually protect herself more adequately.


Touko pat her head and allowed her fingers to glided down through her blonde length of hair. It was a nice texture, has Robin been taking care of her during her absence? Then she gave one final pat and a smile to the little Attendant before returning her attention towards her Master. "Well then, when can I begin?"

"A welcome I fully accept, Master. It's good to be back," Touko chuckled.

It certainly had been a while since her servitude to Igor and for her service for those who held their potential. She knew that it was likely that she had to start from scratch and the redhead didn't mind. Already she had a certain magician in mind to add to her Compendium. He was certainly an interesting youth with some potential, it was at least a good start. But her features would soon adopt a less than stellar expression.


Felanie, always the thrill-seeking troublemaker, she had been a bit of a pain. Touko actually hoped that maybe she changed for the better. But, it turns out that she really didn't. What a shame. She sighed, conceding to the little child for now. But she gave a rather disturbing smile at her for a fleeting moment. To the small Attendant, it was a look that didn't bode well for her, perhaps chilling her spine. She, of all people, should be well aware of the bizarre creations Touko had made during her post as an Attendant. After all, she had been a source of the redhead's ire back then. Her smile was a promise of retribution at Felanie's moment of unawareness and weakness.

She nodded at her superior and did so with her footsteps clacking at a lonesome. The Velvet Attendant rarely wore her uniform, but the Compendium was definitely what she truly needed. It was a comfortable weight of a book and a familiar one too. "Well then. Any other articles of discussion that is of interest, Master?"

Human Weakness:

She ignored the young child while taking a puff of her cigarette. Touko had better things to do than argue with her, so she left it at that. The woman smiled back at Igor and bowed down her head at him in respect. "Of course, sir. I will function to the best of my capabilities. I shall see you again sometime soon. Until then, farewell."

With that, the Velvet Attendant finally made her exit.
